Their menu offers a fantastic variety of flavors with three different sizes of shaved ice, all at a very reasonable price point. When it came time to order, I decided to let the staff showcase their creativity and asked for a "delicious surprise." After a few thoughtful questions about my favorite fruits and flavor profiles, they crafted a Banana Cream Pie shaved ice that was absolutely divine. My husband opted for a Peach, Raspberry, and Mango combination, which was equally refreshing and flavorful. Beyond the treats, what really stood out was the service. We spent some time enjoying our desserts and chatting with the owner, whose hospitality made the visit feel special. It is the perfect spot to beat the summer heat or enjoy some quality family time. A quick note for visitors: The establishment currently does not have ramp access. If you have mobility challenges, I recommend bringing a companion along to assist with entry. Charlie's is consistently delicious and always hits the spot. I decided to come here yesterday in the later part of the day for a nice cool down treat. Shaved ice is a perfect summer treat and a must have! When I walked in, the 2 employees were very nice, greeted me, and provided quick service. One employee was preparing the shaved ice and the other was on the tablet taking orders then creating your ice combo. I went with Skittles - strawberry, melona, blue raspberry - and topped it with marshmallow. They have the best ice texture that stays in tact as you dive into your tasty treat. Since it was about to rain, I did enjoy my treat in the car but they have inside and outside seating. The skittles flavor combo is very good, not artificial tasting, and not too sweet. The size of the shaved ice was good as well and very affordable pricing. I have had Charlie's many times but not this particular flavor combo. I like to try different flavors each time but I always get the condensed cream or marshmallow on top. It creates the perfect amount of sweetness and just adds a Kool- Aid smile on your face. HOLY MOLY!!!! We were in the mood for something tropical it was hot and we drove by this Charlie's Snow Shack in the parking lot of Oak Mall across from Hobby Lobby. Thank God we stopped, this place is beyond Fabulous, the kid working with the curly blonde hair had a great personality which made our experience better. And when you buy a snow comb you get a bogo chip for next time and a card they clip so you can get a free one when you fill it up. I got the guava, lime and coconut my husband got the cherry they were both delightful, tasty, and refreshing. Flavors were absolutely on point! Definitely try this place out! I adore this place. The "kiddie" size is sufficient for me and it's a nice regular sized portion that I can actually finish. It's $3 which once a month you can lower to $2 with the GCM phone app. The larger sizes are UNREASONABLY HUGE, so if for some reason you want a cantaloupe-sized portion of shaved ice, you can get that here! They are very friendly and patient and there are stools where you can sit and eat at the counter. So far I've had: cherry, coconut, blue raspberry, vanilla, "melona" (it's cantaloupe but it's green, so, Galia melon? LOL), and granny apple, all of which I liked. I do kinda want to try every flavor so at some point I'll probably hit one that's too sweet for me or gross but not yet! I am a giant "shaved ice" fan so it's perhaps normal that I'd love my local place, but I figured it was still worth writing a review because if they were in any way not awesome, or less good than my standards, I'd have said so. So rest assured that you are in good hands here, if you are also a shaved ice devotee. The woman behind the counter had a horrible attitude. She did nothing but complain about how she can't wait for her last day on the 27th. Talked about how selfish and disrespectful her children are to her, how her son called her once and asked her if she wanted some food but then forgot to bring it to her, how the owner better pay her $5,000 that he owes her. She complained about her job and kids the whole time we were there eating our snow cones while other customers ordered too. She was just complaining about how she is moving and can't wait to leave. She clearly hates her job and I kinda think her family too because she had not one nice thing to say while we were there. She has no respect for her job or customers to complain about everything loudly so everyone can hear. I personally can't wait for her to leave and if she is that miserable she should just quit now.
