This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

We were very worried but all the sitters at RT gave us copious notes on her condition which we were able to share with our vet and make changes as appropriate. I really can't say enough good things about this company. When we had any issue, they quickly made corrections and were extremely accommodating. RT has made it possible for us to take a two-week trip knowing that our elder cat will be well cared for.

The only anxiety I have, from this service, is that each day could be a different caregiver, so I don't know who is in my house, for that particular visit. Since we have our security cameras, all fears are set aside. We can see and talk to our dogs, see they are being well cared for and see who is there from Snagglefoot. We are even more comfortable with them now. Great service, easy to pay and contact - the scheduling online is still a little hairy though, but nothing a quick email can't fix.

I tried this so-called dog walking service only to discover its nothing more than a van shuttle…read moreservice to hell. The dogs are not taken to a dog park as stated, instead driven miles out of town to a so called farm per their website at fastfido.dog which is in fact an open exposed field with little to no shelter located out of town with no farm in sight, just an empty field of freezing mud and icy slush, no pet owner would ever subject their pets to. No responsible pet owner wants their dog running around in freezing field knee deep in ice exposed for hours to freezing winter weather, that's why real dogie day care locations offer climate-controlled environments. If you care for your pet don't let some uncaring opportunist just dump your dog into an open icy field in 10 degree weather for hours while he sits in a warm van ignoring them while collecting your money. This concept may work in Florida with nice weather but doesn't work in Michigan.

My husband and I just moved back to Ann Arbor and after looking around we originally were bringing…read moreboth of our dogs to a dog daycare. After just a few days I quickly realized that it was not the right fit for my dogs. I was really distressed after seeing how my dogs were treated in the daycare and was so relieved when I found this service. The owner was very accommodating to our hectic schedules and was able to meet up with us during evening hours to meet the dogs. We really appreciated that he was flexible with texting (it's hard for me to call due to my job), and that he offered better pricing than the daycare. He also offered discounts for our second dog, which the daycares in the area didn't usually honor if we were buying packages. When we met the owner he seemed to be very knowledgeable about dogs, training and was a pleasant guy. He was also very understanding and patient with the questions I had - I'm very protective of my dogs, and he seemed more than happy to answer all the questions I had. Our dogs are both full of energy and have seemed to really love going to the farm to run around. We have a doggy cam at home and we see how happy they are to see the owner come get them and how exhausted they are when they get home. We got a video this week and the pups seemed happy to be in a more natural environment with lots of area to run (as opposed to the concrete "cell" that was offered at the daycare). I think if you would love to have your dogs run around and have some freedom with a small group of dogs this would be a great fit for you. They are out of the house for just the right amount of time and with someone that I feel is very trustworthy.

I hired the Fur Ball Society to take care of my two cats and fish for a few days. While I was gone,…read moreI got a message from Fur Ball saying that my aquarium filters were making noise but they had "fixed" them. I came home to find the aquarium filters had been taken apart with a piece floating in the tank. One of my fish got stuck in the disassembled filter and had died. They also had left a bunch of lights on. I messaged Fur Ball about this. They acknowledged that they took the filter apart. They could have easily contacted me first before tampering with my aquarium but they chose not to. There did not give a refund; they did not even a mention that my fish was dead. They ignored my last messages. Pet sitters aren't supposed to kill your pets. They should have contacted me about the aquarium and they should have apologized for what they did. I'm sorry to leave this negative review but this was a pretty disappointing experience. Update: Updating my review based on the response I received below. My fish did indeed die while in their care. I discovered it a couple days after I returned but by then it was decayed because it had been dead for some time. I did mention to them that my fish had died. I hadn't expressed my disappointment because I wanted to maintain a cordial relationship. I've since changed my mind and chose to share my experience.
