    French toast & Denver omlette
    Molly D.

I've lived in Buckley for almost 10 years and have always wanted to try Charlie's. Finally my husband and I tried it and we were so impressed! Friendly staff, and attentive. The food was huge portions. I got the Denver omlette but subbed bacon for the ham. The bacon was crispy and so good. The hashbrowns were also really crispy and tasted homemade. French toast was also delicious. They have a big lunch menu too. They sell local items inside like sweatshirts, hanging glass stars, local homemade candles, and custom cribbage boards. So cute and local. Prices are average for breakfast joints nowadays.

Breakfast on out way to Mt. Rainier White River Campground and lunch on our way home. The decor is everything Coca Cola. Service is friendly and efficient and the food is memorable. This is our go to restaurant on this route. Lots of patrons were locals and had their own coffee cup on the wall. Not cheap but worth every bit. Coffee is $3.5 and refilled as much as you want. Two generous meals and 2 coffees run about $40 plus tax and tip. Glad it is not closer or we would eat there too often.

Found this place by chance. It was packed with people for breakfast so went in. Sat the counter since we didn't want to wait 15-20 min for a table. Servers were very friendly and efficient, filling our coffee and water. Breakfast was just as delicious with lots of options. We ordered the Charlies special omelet, breakfast platter and pancakes. Love the pancakes and sausage. I'm very picky about pancakes and this was spot on. Fluffy and flavorful. We all enjoyed our meal.

Everything you need is at your table.

I eat here often enough but have never posted. You know when a local spot is consistent, reviews are an after thought. Not today! I arrived on a Sunday at about 8:30 with open seating. I was quickly offered a beverage upon being sat with menu in hand. My order was promptly taken and food prepared. I ordered the Grandpa John's scramble (half size because whoa their full size portions here are massive). What I really love is that they don't season your food... meaning I control the salt. This is major for me!! The other thing is they let me be...coming by the table at just the right intervals. Today, Maribel is my server (& has been in the past) so she remembers preferences. That's huge!! If you want a solid breakfast with excellent customer service, I highly recommend Charlie's.

I finally made it to Charlie's!

If you're looking for an adorable diner in Enumclaw, look no further than three generation, family run, and family owned Charlie's Café. The interior is kitschy cute and the service staff is wonderful. The menu has tons of options, and the food is quite good. Now that I found in Charlie's and I know they're only open until 2 PM, I know I'll make plans to be back. If I lived locally, I would be a regular. Be sure to check them out.

    Coffee always topped up.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Seriously the BEST customer service I've ever had!! Our waitress came by several times to make sure that our coffee cups were always topped off. Our water was topped off and she was super friendly. Just for that alone I'd recommend this place. The food was great as well! I had two 4" waffles with strawberries and whip cream. The menu said they were crispy and they sure were. So many times Belgian waffles get soggy when you put the toppings on them but these were crispy until the very last bite. I will be back very very soon.

Saturday mornings are quite busy at Charlie's Cafe. We were quoted a 15 minute wait for three people, however we were seated in about 5 minutes. Service was quick and friendly but the food was just mediocre. I would say it's comparative to a Denny's but with larger portions. I love the puzzle decorations they have on the walls.

3/5/23. I need to stop taking a bite from the entree!!

Charlie's is a favorites for sure. It's such a cool 1950's, Cola themed restaurant that offers the best of both of worlds of Breakfast and Lunch. Today I ordered the spicy burger without pepper-jack. I really appreciate that they give you the option to "build" your burger the way you want to. The jalapeños offered a nice spice to the burger and the pickles only made it better. The onion rings here are also good but a little too greasy. I have had many other lunch foods here such as the chicken wrap (fried), popcorn shrimp, chicken strips and more. Their bacon, cinnamon rolls and waffles are the best that I have ever tasted and their waitresses are so sweet and very attentive to your foodie needs. 4.8/5

The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. Every server we interacted with was smiling and genuinely friendly. It really added to the atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoys working there, and that kind of energy is infectious. Now, the food: the burger was exactly what I crave when I think of a good, old-fashioned burger. Nothing over-complicated, just juicy, well-seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. It was cooked just right, with that perfect balance of savory and juicy. Simple, but executed beautifully. On the side? Two absolutely gigantic onion rings that were golden, crispy, and sweet. The batter had a light crunch without being greasy, and the onions inside were tender and flavorful. Basically onion ring perfection. The mozzarella sticks were another standout. Hot, gooey, and with a satisfying cheese pull that was honestly Instagram-worthy. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. Exactly how they should be. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails. They were trying too hard with a fancy mixology vibe that didn't quite land. But the beer? Cold, refreshing, and just right with the food and the atmosphere. Why go? If you're looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, enjoy a game, and eat some really solid comfort food, this place delivers. It's the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

But first, let's make like Marty McFly and go back in time. My bud says let's go meet up for burgers and brew. I'm like, "Sure, don't gotta ask me twice." And off we went. My mind was blown by all the things in such close proximity of each other... I mean like a parking lot closeness. We got some serious grub burgers, with a brewery next door to enjoy said tasty meat patties. With a distillery in the back/front, and a wine or tea bar on the other side. You don't have to go far to stumble or crawl. Ok... moving forward... back to Burger Buds! I had no idea this was the original truck or location. I live out in the Maple Valley area, and we frequent that burger buds often. However, every time I go, I always want to try a new burger. And the Wenatchee was calling my name. Something about crisp Washington apples and cheese just sounded good with some candied bacon. C'mon son! Not to mention their fries! We ordered our food, found a place to sit down inside the brewery, ordered some cider, and once the food was ready, we just sat and hung out and enjoyed conversation. This is a perfect location! So hats off to the owners of Burger Buds and Headworks Brewery for their joint adventure! Thank you for the experience and as always, enjoy and found a new Happy Place!

During our visit it was 'seat yourself' and a waitress came right over with menus and took our drink order. As it was early, we ordered coffee and water. Coffee is good and hot. Cream on table with salt, pepper, hot sauce and ketchup. Our beverages were brought over by another staff member, Paula, who told us our waitress would be right with us. Except she wasn't. After ten minutes I was worried. After 20 minutes I was getting concerned. Our waitress showed up shortly there after and we placed our order. Paula came around a few times refilling coffees, clearing tables and bringing checks. I wandered into their bakery area while waiting for our food, took photos, read the info there and then out to the historic bar area to check it out. You can order cakes and cheese cakes from their bakery as well as take a slice to-go, or enjoy a slice in house. Our waitress saw me there on her way into the kitchen and asked if I needed something. "No, just looking". OK then. We think our waitress was working both the kitchen and the dining room which is why she was often out of sight. So two staff in FOH with one of them helping BOH. That's a lot. She brought our food when ready plus a selectiin of jams for our english muffin. We asked for silverware which she promotly brought. The marionberry jam, a hybrid blackberry from Oregon, is excellent. The food is quite good. Corned beef hash is without a doubt made fresh. Big pieces of shredded beef with potatoes and lots of fresh spices. This hash has a zing to it. We both ordered the small portion of their corned beef so it came with one egg (instead of two) and we chose english muffin (instead of toast) and got half each (vs. a whole each). With a side of their potatoes, which were also good and plentiful, we had enough left overs for breakfast the next day. Which we also enjoyed. All told, we were in and out in one hour. Food was very good. We always had coffee. We thought our waitress was unfriendly, but she's just super busy. So five stars for holding down the dining rooms with two staff members and serving tasty, well prepared food. Paula processed our card payment. Forgot to check out the restrooms. I think they are in the last dining area (where a big business meeting of some company was going on at the time) behind the bar room.
