The cabbage seemed a little on the bland side with just cabbage in the mix, although my buddy liked it so it could've just been my messed up taste buds. I am used to having bits of carrot and thyme in the stewed cabbage from other places, and that is typically the way I make it at home. I also tried one of my buddy's plantains, and it did seem sweet from what I could tell. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to gather much flavor from the rum cake. My buddy said it was good and almost like a butter rum muffin.
