OLD SCHOOL CHEESESTEAK
Katie D.

This is the old-school Philly cheesesteak that supposed to have double the meat I guess that means one slice in a regular

My pathetic cheesesteak with I found two mushrooms and one piece of onion. Along with overcooked meat. Crispy burnt on edges.

Came here today with a co-worker for lunch. About 11:30 a.m. Gal at register said She had no soda, only lemonade. One person working in the back on the grill. Order a small cheese steak with mushrooms, onions and mayo only. French fries and a drink.. Since we are working it is important we get our food somewhat quickly. People in front of us were still waiting. It took over 10 minutes to get our food. And it was pathetic. I looked at it and told them it was super disappointing. Another girl from the back came out and glared at me. My coworker and I were chuckling at the fact that I was going to write this review.

Price and quality did not match…read more I ordered the pastrami sandwich and immediately noticed some cost cutting choices, like butter flavored spray (can we use real butter) US Foods/Chef's Store sourdough bread, (can we use real sourdough bread) and a microwave sitting next to the griddle (which the griddle looks like it has not been cleaned very often). I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.

Going for the Chopped Cheese or the Wagyu Roast Beef next time if they're available for the day. I'll update my review with new pictures if I remember (unfortunately I housed my sandwich and forgot to take a picture), meanwhile I'll post some giardiniera I bought! (Solid by the way) Joe posts their menu and prices daily, so I'd check their Instagram or Facebook if you're picky. The sandwiches are massive and packed, so if price is ever a concern I'd definitely say turning it into two meals is an option. Or have a good time and go all in! In summary: Great food and I love the daily updates and change. It's obviously a loved business between the daily menu updates and different services and events offered. Definitely coming back as a regular next time. Update: The Gavone is amazing, still need to come back for the Wagyu Cheesesteak!

Typical chain type Greek restaurant, so nothing too fancy but clean interior is inviting. What I Ordered: - Beef/Lamb gyro: Love they put French fries in the actual gyro! It had great flavor, and was so big! I only ate half then brought the left overs to a friend. Part of me wishes they had a smaller version. - Fountain Drink: Typical fountain selections and the soda had a good mix of flavor and carbonation. Appreciate the offering of a box when the staff member saw I folded up the remaining in the paper. Easy large enough you could split with someone! I'd definitely return, but likely with someone so we could split to avoid any food waste.

The food was good, but the overall value of the meal didn't meet my expectations. The cleanliness and customer service were definitely positives, but I expected a more substantial portion considering the cost. I may give it another try in the future, but the pricing would make me hesitate to return regularly. Pros: Clean restaurant, friendly service Cons: Small portions for the price, limited overall value for the cost

I've eaten at both the Gilbert and Chandler Fashion Center locations, and I order takeout pretty regularly too. No matter how I get it, the quality is always great. This visit I ordered the Chopped Salad, and it was crisp, fresh, and full of flavor. I still have to mention my old favorite, the Mixed Grill. I was so disappointed when they removed it from the menu! It was my go-to order every time, and I'd love to see it make a comeback someday. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty program. The rewards add up, and it's definitely worth it if you visit as often as I do. If you're looking for fresh, flavorful food with consistently good quality, Wildflower is always a solid choice.

She asked me how my day was asked me how she could make it better & after we ordered the food I went and sat down for and waited for it to be made and she offered me a drink, and I told her I was OK, and at that moment, I noticed her effort of trying to keep a smile on customers faces and as I was leaving, I picked up my food and headed to the door and I heard her scream across the room. I hope you have a good rest of your day.. I just wanna say I think she's going an extra mile and she needs to be recognized for her service. She was super sweet greeted me. Make sure I was comfortable while I waited as as well as make sure that she said goodbye. If I can give her five stars alone, I would do so everybody needs a Shea in their establishment. Keep her around she is gold.
