The next morning I returned for my procedure. The doctor I had last time retired so Dr. Bernstein was assigned( no pun intended). Professional and nice personnel. They made me feel comfortable and I had the best sleep in the last 24 hours. Staff could not have been better; called next day to check on my condition.

From Jody Wilwert in his office who was so patient and clear in describing the procedure, to the members of his team who were spot-on professional and caring. Dr. Kucera was not only professional but personable, a really good listener. From the time I was checked in to the time I left, the doctors, nurses and office staff made a not -fun test a positive experience. I recommend them very highly as this is the way medicine should be practiced!

I have 2 separate events that reinforce my bad experience. EVENT 1. I have a syndrome that required rapid colonoscopy-endoscopy in Dec 2021. Despite much "sweet talk" from Dr Kucera and his PA at consult - I received no follow-up. Despite calling daily/begging for results for several polyps - nobody bothered to call - responding several days later citing the "holidays" as the delay and the person complained about working 12 hr shifts, being understaffed. It didn't seem to matter that I was very concerned about Cancer! EVENT 2. I have hemorrhoids for removal and have called several times to reschedule apt (as I sit here, 2 weeks without call back - despite being "assured" by receptionist. Totally unprofessional. Be warned.

Not sure why but i went, After 4 months several blood tests and invasive procedures i am no closer to treatment. The other day i got angry and did some research and found out ACROSS THE STREET--LITERALLY is the physician who is the authority on Hep C, He has written articles, books and has a large clinic ACROSS the street! Did she mention him? NO she did not. SO since sept 2016 i have been in acute liver failure, NOTHING has been done despite me now owing over$200.00 in unpaid medical bills (i am on a VERY limited income) so this B.S. is a real hardship for me. Dr Shek appears to be a nice person but is definatly focused on GI issues only. BTW still waiting for that return call from kimberly from 2 weeks ago...I'm done
