They never contacted me even after I called them. I requested a second provider and I still have not heard anything. Very unprofessional.

While he was polite, I felt consistently pressured to take pharmaceutical medications I didn't ask for. I made it clear I don't take medication yet it came up at every appointment. That felt pushy and inappropriate. The office itself is poorly managed and lacks basic follow-through. I once took a saliva test and was told I'd receive results in two weeks. I never received anything. Months later I had to ask for them at my next appointment and only then was I handed the results without apology just a casual "my bad." At another appointment I was told I'd be sent a colon screening test. That test was never sent. Then weeks later I got a call from the office pressuring me to schedule my Medicare physical. I explained I hadn't even received the test they said they'd send and they told me I now needed to come back in to get it, something they should've done at the last visit. Again no apology no ownership just a dismissive attitude. There was also a serious issue when I was out of state receiving care for my prosthetic leg. I urgently needed paperwork from MaxHealth for insurance processing and they flat-out refused to provide it. That delayed my prosthetic fitting and impacted my care significantly. It was a basic request and their refusal showed a complete lack of concern for patient needs. The office manager Jennifer was especially rude and dismissive during these interactions, cold unhelpful and unwilling to take any accountability for the issues caused by their own staff. Bottom line MaxHealth made it clear that they prioritize billing over care. They push medications fail to follow up on their own orders and create unnecessary barriers for patients, especially those with disabilities. I would not recommend this office if you expect responsible patient-centered care.

Dr. Bentze has been the primary "copilot" in my healthcare journey for the past 14 years. I have an…read moreexceptionally complicated medical case that most physicians would drop like a hot rock, but he has been truly present with me through the worst and the best times. Dr. Bentze's listening skills are particularly keen, as is his ability to triage, form a plan of care, and think outside the box. He also has a great sense of humor, which I find to be healing. He's not very hands on, so if you're looking for someone who touches you every time you visit, he won't be a good fit for you. But if you want a doctor who genuinely cares about your well-being and is a partner in your health, Dr. Bentze is the best. He's also always on time. The office could be managed better (growing pains), but the majority of the staff will be kind to you if you treat them with respect.

The staff at the office were all pleasant and accommodating. Dr. Bentze ordered blood tests and assured me we would get to the bottom of my problems. When the results of the blood tests came (well it took me 8 phone calls and two weeks to get them...) and nothing acute was found I was simply dismissed and my problems were, by the nurse and over the phone, blamed on depression. There was no follow up, no attempt at finding the root of the problem and no more understanding nods from the doc.. So, Dr. Bentze is in my opinion not much of a doctor. If a blood test doesn't give the answer to a patients problems, follow up. Perhaps another test, perhaps a physical (Br. Bentze did not even listen to my heart) Do your job. And at least call the patient yourself to discuss options. Do not make the patient track down their own results and finally have them delivered by a completely disinterested nurse. I was so happy leaving Dr. Bentze, I thought I had found a doctor that actually cared. But alas, no. I am so very disappointed.

The girl that tried to take my blood took 5 tries before hitting a good vein. Of course it hurt and now my wrist ( where she finally got blood ) is swelled and hurting. I don't know if she was in experienced or just had a bad day but I think more training might be a good idea. P.S. I have been a patient here for more than 5 years and have never had this happen before. Thank you.

Over the course of several weeks, I made multiple phone calls in an effort to obtain a time-sensitive pre-authorization for an upcoming MRI appointment. Despite clearly communicating that my appointment was scheduled within four days, I was repeatedly told that the process would take "weeks," without any apparent urgency or attempt to explore alternative solutions. During this time, I was asked to obtain information from the hospital that my insurance company had already provided, resulting in unnecessary back-and-forth communication and added stress. I personally contacted both the hospital and my insurance company multiple times to try to facilitate the process, yet there was little evidence of follow-through or proactive assistance from Tiffany. Additionally, I left messages with my primary care provider's office and did not receive timely responses, which further compounded the issue. Unfortunately, this experience affected not only my time but also my trust in the coordination of care. My husband had taken time off work for an appointment that ultimately could not proceed due to the lack of pre-authorization. This issue was resolved with a 20 minute conversation call to Dr. John Shelton's ENT office. While I value my primary care provider Ms. Megan Hughes and would prefer to remain under her care, this experience has caused me to reconsider due to the administrative challenges and lack of support. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve communication, responsiveness, and patient support within the pre-authorization process. The star rating Attis zero for administrative help. And 5+ for Dr. Hughes
