I went for a lung function test including a 6 minute walk study. First it was difficult for me to…read morewalk 6 minute because of intense pain in my legs and even though I was "allowed" to stop for a few seconds I was told to keep going. After the walk test was done I was told that I didn't need oxygen any more. Not at home or anywhere. (Only to be told later by a different doctor and nurses that I should be on home oxygen until at least after after a surgical procedure. The second test was in a kind of small chamber where the next breathing tests were done. I immediately informed the technician that I am extremely claustrophobic and she said "Everyone else can do it, so you can too. It seemed hardly anything I said mattered. So I pushed through and finished the first test, ending in severe distress and breathlessness. What really made me feel terrible and belittled was something the woman said "Ok, let's try again but stop with all the faces" referring to my facial reactions when I just couldn't breathe out more air into the machine and started coughing pretty bad. That made me feel like a child, or worse, that I was pretending not to be able to do the exercises. And the constant "I have done this for a long time and everyone else do this, so you can do it too." I'm sorry, but that was probably one of the most uncomfortable I felt with medical staff. I will give WakeMed 5 stars across the board because they saved my life and they actually listened. Every single doctor, nurse or imaging technician has treated me with nothing but kindness and respect at every appointment I have. But this was not the case here. (At least in how I personally have felt throughout the appointment.

After not hearing anything for about 3 months, I got a call from another Dr. who stated he was taking over for Dr. Santos. I was told I did not have to do another sleep study for the CPap machine, that he does things different than Dr. Santos and I would be getting one in the mail. This has been over 6 months and I still am waiting to hear from someone. If you want to be informed, and know what's going on do not go here. They do not communicate very well and seems to be a waste of time. I don't understand how professional business operate like this. They should be ashamed. And there is no way to get in contact, the message is outdated with no way to reach a live person.

I have suffered with TMJ issues for more than two years and I have tried every home remedy…read moreimaginable. I first thought it was stressed related but when I stopped being stressed and still had the issues, I knew it was something else. I went for a consultation in February 2024 and the team conducted a full series of tests to determine the best course of action for me. I felt confident in the treatment plan and began using a temporary daytime and nighttime appliance while I waited for the permanent appliances. I was happy that my insurance covered some of the treatment (it cost a few thousand with the tests, copays and appliances) but honestly after suffering in pain for years, I would pay anything to heal! I really appreciated the follow-up visits I had every month and they were able to adjust my appliance if I had any issues. I'm happy to say that I am fully weaned off of the daytime appliance in July 2024 after completing the treatment plan and still continue to use the nighttime appliance. I really can't thank the team and doctor Ferzli enough for putting me on the road of recovery. I would recommend to anyone suffering with TMJ!

Saw the PA in the Cary office for severe ear pain because I could be seen the same day. She…read moreexamined and sent some drops and steroid pack which I immediately started. I told her I had already tried an antibiotic and Ibuprofen with no relief. The next day the pain worsened and I could not function. It was throbbing like crazy continuously the entire day no matter what pain killers I tried. I tried calling but you never reach a person and have to keep a voicemail. I requested the PA to check on the ear swabs she had taken (to see if it grew anything) and send me antifungal drops as the oral antibiotic tabs, prednisone and antibiotic drops were not helping (Please check my voice mail). I waited the whole day and finally somebody else called at 5:12 pm asking me to call back. I called back and it went to answering service and they asked me to go to ER if I was in severe pain. The woman told me that they are not allowed to consider it an emergency and contact the on-call doctor as I had not had surgery in the last 10 days. She told me they cannot do anything and I can go to ER or call the next day. I had already called that day and the PA never answered. This is horrible customer service. I am a medical provider myself and we never go home without answering every call we get that day. This is complete negligence and totally unacceptable patient care. I will never recommend this practice to anybody else in the future.

Mays and Mays are the nicest people you want to meet, they are friendly and professional and their assistants/hygienists are the same. Their facility is great and you can tell they keep up with the latest technology and techniques, they also focus on keeping the patient comfortable. The only area they can improve on is billing, and I can only imagine the insurance companies make that more of a challenge than the staff at Preston Dental. I could not recommend a better dental practice.

They sent me home saying they weren't going to clean my teeth as their was "no point" and that they would give me a credit of $50 towards the Deep Cleaning... Not a happy Camper to say the least.

PA could not really answer questions about cost or type of device they would recommend, etc. She did no benefit check before she saw me. PA left it up to me to call insurance co. search out equipment providers, decide on what equipment to buy, trying to find out costs on diff types of equipment, not knowing what equipment they use. I had to make a decision on zero information so I went elsewhere.
