    In Response, I did come and see you for an emergency appointment, when I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Ken I was refused and he was not available. They only allowed me to make an appointment with you and I had no other choice. I was supposed to get the root canal however I did not have the money at the time to get it done. Seem that it's been so long so I feel that it is not a viable option now to save my tooth. It has been getting darker and mor sensitive and have had some pain on and off. But I feel I haven't had the proper support nor a resolution to the issue I am dealing with. So now it is almost November I went to see you in Mid August I deal with the public regularly and I am a manager and a customer service oriented professional with high profile clients and now I have to hold my smile when talking or dealing with them on a regular basis. Out of my eye this situation has not been resolved nor have had the proper customer service and professionalism I would expect from a Dentist.

    I went there for a root canal, and the veneer that they made for me, was not installed perfectly even with my other front tooth.

The receptionist was phenomenal. The dental hygienist, Andy, was incredibly reassuring and executed his skills beautifully and gently. Dr. Morgan eloquently explained my findings and explained the next steps. I don't feel like he pushed an agenda. The only reason I don't give them a 5-star review is that they lack professionalism and organization as a whole. When creating rapport with patients, stick to the vague rapport-building questions relevant to the experience. Good rapport building includes questions, like "What has your past dental experience been like? I've never heard that name before. How do you pronounce it? Is there anything we can do to help you feel more comfortable? How are you today?" Bad rapport building questions that are not relevant to the dental experience, "Do you have children? Do you live alone? Do you have pets?" Especially in 2025, we don't ask people if they have children in places where it's not relevant, because one never knows the struggles or the pain that question can cause. Furthermore, the dental team talks to each other across the room about the patient they are working on, and they don't seem to have their flow of procedures down. They give a little all-over-the-place vibe. It is evident they are attempting to create a good experience for the patient, and I appreciate the effort. There is always room for improvement, and I hope this review helps take it there.

Our family has been going to this location for many years and we had insurance to cover our treatment without any out of pocket, but things happen and our current insurance was no longer on their preferred network. So with this unknown status my son goes to his annual cleaning and then told his insurance may not cover all the cost and that he would have to pay out of pocket for his services. We live over 1 hour away in Willits, CA and he did not know he would have to pay out of pocket until that day. I always try to guide my kids to call me directly if they feel like they don't know how to make a good decisions without my presence, but he thought he would be taken care of as he has with every visit. Then the office asked if he wanted fluoride treatment and X-rays and most people without insurance would most likely opt out of this unless it's free or minimal cost so he did it with good faith that it would be covered by insurance for some of it. In the end he had to pay out of pocket over $234 for everything and for a young college student working part-time that is sad to have been taken advantage of like that. I then called and spoke with Noelle the office Manager who claims she had something come up and that was the reason she did not return my calls as requested last week. Claims that she spoke with the dentist and just danced around my request for some type of credit back for the misfortune with my son's experience. So now I have to write this bad experience review and it all could have been resolved if they just treated my family like a valued customer, but instead I have to chase them for a call back and turn to Yelp to share our experience. Thanks Noelle and Dr. Chung for nothing...WE WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS OFFICE EVER AGAIN!!!

Thus when I moved, I knew it was time for me to suck it up, be an adult, and get a new dentist; and that's how I found Dr S. The first redeeming factor was the location. Super close to my work, and just off the freeway on the Airport blvd, near the Airport Club Gym. They are located next to relaxing lake, in a beautifully appointed medical building that looks nothing like a dental facility, and more like a house. Ambiance is relaxing, calm, and friendly, and offset any of my beginning nerves from walking in. Second redeeming factor was Bodie. I LOVE dogs. The office has a sweet, incredibly adorable collie/sheltie owned by the doctor, and this dog is so snuggly and cute, he makes pet therapy take on a new meaning. Somehow just his presence in the office softened my stress, and relaxed me. Doctor S is professional, accommodating, and easy to talk to. He made my initial visit much more palatable than I had anticipated, and he really heard me about my teeth, my concerns, and my questions. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth the following day was equally as positive. She was understanding about my dental hazards, tooth sensitivity, and was thorough in my cleaning. I ended up with the goodie bag of toothpaste, brushes and floss, but all tailored specifically to my dental needs. I don't think anything can ever truly make going to the dentist fun and easy, but Dr S and his team are well on the way for making it closer to a reality. I'm thrilled that Dr S exists, and is one more doctor that is bridging the gap between the world's negative opinion of dentists, and the possibility of being thankfully wrong.
