There's a kiosk where you can place your order which conveniently has a picture of each item. There was not a huge variety of items as the menu is on the smaller side. We ordered a bunch stuff: Soup Dumplings ($7), Shrimp Wontons with Sichuan Sauce ($8), Shrimp Dumplings ($6), Siu Mai ($5), Steamed Rice Rolls with Pork ($6), Sweet Spicy Pan Fried Chicken with Rice, Special BBQ Pork with Lo Mein ($8), and Special BBQ Pork with Rice ($8). Incredibly, there was only one person working (taking orders and cooking the food). Everything was fresh and made to order so there was a bit of a wait. The dishes that we really enjoyed were the Siu Mai and the BBQ Pork with Rice. The Sui Mai had 4 pieces per order and was juicy, with a nice snappy texture and delicate wrapping. The BBQ Pork (Char Siu) was tender, savory and flavorful. It came with a side of dipping sauce which really enhanced the meat. Some of the honorable mentions were the Soup Dumplings and Shrimp Wontons. The Soup dumplings had extremely thin skin which we really liked. It didn't have much broth but it tasted good. The Shrimp Wontons with Sichuan Sauce was also quite good, albeit very spicy. Overall, a pretty good meal and was happy to support this small business.

Ordering is done through a kiosk, and aside from picking up your food, there isn't much interaction with staff. It felt a little strange not having that human element or the usual restaurant atmosphere, but the process was quick and efficient. I ordered the Hanu poke bowl with half salmon, half tuna, and spicy sauce. It was decent, but nothing that really stood out. My friends ordered Chinese food and a burger, and they had similar thoughts. Everything was good enough, but none of us felt like it was particularly memorable. Overall, I like the concept more than the food itself. Wonder is a convenient spot with plenty of variety, especially for groups with different cravings. For me, it's closer to 3.5 stars, so I'm rounding up since Yelp doesn't allow half-star ratings.

I I am a fan of their collaborating restaurants: wingtrip and magnolias. The food, in my opinion, tastes pretty good and I am a sucker for the fries at wingtrip. Customer service is top notch, and prepares the food in a takeout bag prior to arrival. I would say that this location is better for takeout rather than dining in, as is other Wonder locations but the ambiance is always nice and lively.

It's also the only grocery store I've seen in NYC, much less NY state, to have any type of Cheerwine on the shelves. If you go near the front where glass bottles of soda are located, you might just find Cheerwine Zero here like I have. I'd look for the sales since it's not that cheap here price wise and the store itself is tiny so selection can be a bit limited and it's not the most intuitive layout. I find it inconvenient that they have water and other items where the end of the checkout lines are so you can't meaningfully get that stuff unless you cut the line to go through an empty register to get it. I'm sure this has prompted more than one incident where a customer was accused of attempted shoplifting just for getting some soda or water they wanted to buy and didn't want to make a second trip for. The line can also get long and winding around here which I bet makes this issue worse. It's definitely convenient and not a bad option if you have EBT food money but if you don't, I wouldn't recommend doing all your weekly shopping here if you have the option to get better deals or more selection elsewhere.
