A hidden gem within Griffith... A little grocery store with a deli and a space to eat. They make sandwiches, fresh, as you order. The sandwiches were delicious. Maybe a little too much meat and not enough veggies for me but I know I'm not the norm. They did say that next time I could order less meat and they would adjust pricing according to what I would like on my sandwich. The bread was a little tough and chewy... found out later that it wasn't their normal bread. Their bread shipment was running late. The service was super nice and friendly. Wonderful little gem in the heart of downtown Griffith. A deli and specialty grocery... try the corned beef sandwich or take a pound home! Great place to pick up gourmet cheese and meats. I especially like getting Nuskee's bacon sliced how I want, in whatever quantity I want . You will also find items like artisan sea salt, infused olive oil, and bourbon maple syrup. I visited Charcuterie just to browse and see what this place was all about and was so pleasantly surprised. All of my expectations were above and beyond exceeded. They have a deli that includes all those hard to find items that you will not find at the grocery store, they have a grocery area that features many items from local businesses, their bar is top notch and includes beer on tap from local brewers, they have a menu for boxed lunches as well as a menu for specialty designed charcuterie boards. Beyond amazing! Super cool spot with an excellent deli counter and fantastic sandwiches. Very friendly people too! Ask about the specialty menu also, this week was a Cajun focus with a fantastic gumbo and jambalaya. I've gone for lunch the last 2 days in a row and today the cooks were kind enough to offer some samples of the beignets and boudin balls, red beans and rice and tons of excellent stuff. Whoa, this place is legit! Found some amazing chorizo for paella, and so many rare cheeses and meats. They make homemade pierogi and tamales in house, and delicious vinegar shrubs from Elixer. First time visit, very nice people, nice set-up. Brought home an assortment of meats, cheese and bread, however, all that will have to wait cuz I also brought home 2 ravioli dinners with garlic bread, amazing! They are bolognese and Alfredo with roasted veggies. I can't decide which I love more so I'm just having them side by side. Better than any Italian restaurant and the garlic bread is fantastic! I think this will become a regular Friday night treat. Tried another Friday night special, short ribs with mashed sweet potatoes and vegetables, also the roast chix as well.
