This was an incredible dining experience. We ordered cocktails, shared plates and entrees and everything that landed on our table was delicious. The menu is daring and diverse, service is excellent, and it's a beautiful place to hang out and have a leisurely meal with friends.

I went to Calgary for a week and came to this restaurant twice..this just shows how much I love this place!! This place is connected to Le Germain hotel in the core of Calgary. My colleague and I ordered a bunch of small plates to share. My fave is the albacore crude (had it twice!!), it was so fresh, soft and delicious! I also really enjoyed the roasted bone marrow escargot and charred octopus as they were so flavourful. The tuna conserva came with bread to dip in. The sauce that came with the pork belly was soo good (must dip if you get this dish). Zucchini salad was light, cool and complimented well with the pistachio. All the good here is great, I would pay another visit whenever I'm back in Calgary!

We went there to celebrate the last night of Calgary! The manager Nakita did a great job on decorating table for my birthday event requested by my husband and another manager Aparna made sure we're taken care of through the night! The food was amazing! My husband loved the Alberta steak. He had a high expectation of it and the taste was over his expectation! I also enjoyed the Nduja agnolotti with ricotta pasta! The combination of pasta and steak was amazing! Our waitress Erica recommended and served the great food and drinks! Thank you for the pasta recommendation! :) The food was over the expectation but what's better was people and ambiance made our last night perfect! Highly recommend!

Perfect for a date night! Highly recommend the focaccia buns! The server was very accommodating and very pleasant the whole time. A+ on the ambiance!

Messy but delicious! Look at that thick layer of gooey cheese

Classy modern hotel steakhouse, the bone marrow is so decadent, a must try. I would come back again for sure.

We started with the appetizers, the beef carpaccio and Caesar salad, both were excellent and really set a good tone for the evening. The carpaccio was well-seasoned and fresh, and the salad had a nice balance of creamy and crisp. For our main, we went with the Canada Prime bone-in porterhouse, which came with two sides. The jalapeño creamed corn tasted more like jalapeño grits than corn, which threw me off a bit, it wasn't really my thing. The twice-cooked fingerlings with bacon, chives, and sour cream, on the other hand, were delicious, crispy, flavorful, and well-balanced. Unfortunately, the steak itself missed the mark for me. It arrived lukewarm, not hot like you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse, which was disappointing. For a cut that's supposed to be the star of the show, the temperature really detracted from the experience. To finish off, we kept it light with two scoops of gelato, one cherry vanilla and the other a lemon sorbet. Both were refreshing and hit the spot for a light, sweet ending. Service was definitely a strong point, our server was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the night. Overall, it was a mixed experience: great apps, strong service, but the main event which was the steak it just didn't deliver like I'd hoped. I'd give it another try, but probably order something different next time.

I am not a huge fan of steaks, so I got a few sides. The scallops were cooked to perfection. They melted in my mouth and I would easily order this again. The truffle fries and broccolini were both really good. They would make a great side with a steak. The lobster mac and cheese was my least favourite, it wasn't bad more like average, not a lot of lobster pieces.

The "baked" potato was microwaved vs actually baked And it was so cool that the butter I put on it didn't melt. Ordered a side of garlic prawns and got 3 small unflavored shrimp instead that were maybe an inch long if you stretched it out. my sons fries were undercooked (some weren't even golden, they were still potato white) And said some of them were kinda crunchy/stiff. I had the owners cut of prime rib and it was smaller than the last two times I had been to smugglers where I ordered a smaller cut (first mate) And it was cold, even the au jus was barely warm. Also probably the smallest Yorkshire pudding I've ever had there. Maybe 1/3 the size you use to get. We ordered desert and it took newly 30 mins for it to be brought out - my son's "warm" apple krisp was cold he said. i have been smugglers at least A dozen times in the last 3 years and more so in the last decade and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. In both service and quality. As it stands I would not recommend - where as before I always raved about the smugglers inn. For a $400+ bill for myself and my 3 kids, I def expected way better quality, actual warm food and not have to wait a combined time of over an hour for service. It was also my son's birthday, and he found the experience very disappointing and said he never wants to go back. When we booked we said it was a birthday, we mentioned it was his birthday and the server didnt even say happy birthday to him. Oh and it wasn't even that busy when we got there... there was maybe 10 costumers when we arrived. I might try it again due to past visits being great. But another experience like tonight and I'll probably take my prime rib expeditions else where. I doubt my kids will ever go back as the complained how horrible it was the entire drive home. I usually don't give a lot of reviews but it was such a sub-par experience I had to report it.

Parking was pretty full but we managed to snag a spot. The place was busy but not too loud. While the server did ask us if we were celebrating anything, there wasn't really anything done that made out time there special. We started with the Marrow and Escargot and shared a 12oz Prime Rib with lobster tail and Creme Brulee for dessert. The food was okay, not sure if it was worth the price of admission. Server was fine, but not memorable. We were disappointed in the experience as this used to be our go to (bi-monthly) dinner place before the ownership change.

The duck & waffles was a confit duck leg, vanilla liege waffles, foie gras gravy with a bistro salad that had a yuzu vanilla vinaigrette. Duck was delicious. I liked the salad, but honestly felt that the vanilla in the vinaigrette would be best removed. However, that's my personal opinion. The waffles were... ok. It was like eating cake and bits of sugar. I mentioned to the server that the waffles had chunks of sugar in them, but she said that they were sugar coated. To be honest, I'm not convinced. there was chunks of white sugar, not a glaze...In the waffle itself. And the batter was very heavy, thick and cake like. Not the best waffles. French toast was great, very filling and delicious. It has a foie gras caramel, maple pecans, maple caramelized apples, whipped cream cheese and back bacon. This can easily be your new favourite. My mimosa was amazing, best mimosa I've honestly ever had. Americano wasn't really anything special, especially for $6. While it was a decent breakfast, I don't think I would order waffles again from here unless they change their recipe. I was also a little disappointed they didn't have more than 2 flavours of latte. We went in for a super late reservation of 9:15pm, because on Wednesdays, they have a nice special dinner for two that comes with an 18 oz ribeye, cheese bread, two salads, two side dishes, and a slice of cheesecake. This place screams luxury. The bathroom has an attendant (sign outside says no tip) that walked over to give me a fresh towel every time I washed my hands. They also had pads, tampons, mints, floss, extra clothes, anything you could think of for grabs! When I got up to use the restroom, my server looped his arm around mine to escort me there. It was genuinely quite insane lol!!! We tried the Waldorf salad and the house salad. Waldorf was delicious - who knew celery, apples, walnuts, and arugula in a creamy dressing would be so refreshing?? The house salad was pretty standard with a nice addition of radishes. Then came the cheesy bread. That was so insanely fluffy and cheesy - literally some of the best bread I've ever had. Reminiscent of the Taiwanese cheesy garlic bread. The steak was very hearty and perfectly medium!! We had the roasted mushrooms and the broccolini. Broccolini was perfect - just the right chew, crunchy but soft inside, with a light lemon butter and garlic on top. The mushrooms were a bit heavier.
