We had the duck fat fries, schnitzel (was a special the evening we were there), halibut, and chocolate au pain. Everything was delicious and the halibut was especially refreshing. We ordered French Toast ($22), Duck & Waffles ($26) a mimosa ($6) and an americano ($6). Got here right as it opened. The duck & waffles was a confit duck leg, vanilla liege waffles, foie gras gravy with a bistro salad that had a yuzu vanilla vinaigrette. Duck was delicious. I liked the salad, but honestly felt that the vanilla in the vinaigrette would be best removed. However, that's my personal opinion. The waffles were... ok. It was like eating cake and bits of sugar. I mentioned to the server that the waffles had chunks of sugar in them, but she said that they were sugar coated. To be honest, I'm not convinced. there was chunks of white sugar, not a glaze...In the waffle itself. And the batter was very heavy, thick and cake like. Not the best waffles. French toast was great, very filling and delicious. It has a foie gras caramel, maple pecans, maple caramelized apples, whipped cream cheese and back bacon. This can easily be your new favourite. My mimosa was amazing, best mimosa I've honestly ever had. Americano wasn't really anything special, especially for $6. While it was a decent breakfast, I don't think I would order waffles again from here unless they change their recipe. I was also a little disappointed they didn't have more than 2 flavours of latte. I don't think I would return with the competition that's out there, but it wasn't bad. read more

I'm shocked the ratings are so high on both Google and yelp. The food is way over priced and portions are small. The menu doesn't give you appetizer options so all they have are expensive mains. I ordered the cabbage rolls and basically it was very small amount of cabbage with tons of pork sausage for $34. Yes it was alright but that was it! No vegetables, no side starch. Sides are not even in the menu for you to order. The dish was way too heavy. My husband's gnocchi dish was mediocre as well. The service was good though. It wasn't their fault that the restaurant menu was so bad. I ended up leaving and headed to Norleys to order Empanadas. Overall we will not go back. Such a bad experience. read more

Disappointing Experience with Questionable Fish and Poor Service. My friend and I visited The Eden with high expectations, but left thoroughly disappointed. We ordered the bouillabaisse, only to find the skate fish stringy, bitter, and clearly off. When we raised our concerns, the server dismissed us, insisting the chef deemed it acceptable and that "everyone" was being served the same (yikes!). Worse, she suggested the issue was with our "uneducated palates." After, using Google, I confirmed what we already suspected: fresh skate should be mild and delicate--not bitter and unpleasant. For a restaurant of this caliber (pricey), the quality of both the food and the service fell far short. A truly disappointing experience. read more

Portions are small for the price, so doesn't make sense with how highly rated this place is on Open Table and Yelp. They changed the way they make their French toast and I was super disappointed. Definitely not a fan of the sour cream whipping cream, garnished with diced pineapple, with caramel sauce, and they also cheaped out on the bread and meat, which is a terrible choice for a change from how they made their French toast back last year in late September when I first went there. read more

The dining room has two levels and dining on the upper level is definitely an experience. This is a nice venue for a romantic dinner but also works perfectly for a quick bistro style lunch. Had dinner here tonight and was completely impressed by the quality of food!!! Highly recommend. Nice location in Inglewood. From the outside, leaves a bit to be desired. I actually walked by it a couple of times when I was looking for the place. The restaurant has a simple menu with lots to choose from but everything we had was just top notch. The server was great and very attentive. Shared the Thursday special Lobster and Crab Cobb Salad, Burrata Toasts, Lamb Sirloin and the Croque Madame. Who doesn't love burrata lol? It came with a selection of olives, pickled peppers and olive oil with perfectly toasted baguette. The Cobb salad was tasty, came with crumbled blue cheese, bacon, egg, guacamole too. The lamb so flavourful and was served on a polenta patty that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The croque madame was a fancier version served on a croissant, with roasted chicken, mustard pearls, fried egg and parmesan cream. Such a solid meal. Visited on a Sunday for brunch. Lots of free street parking in Inglewood on Sundays, would assume a little bit more difficult on Saturdays. The brunch menu is short and sweet but you still have to spend a good minute contemplating between all the menu items because they all sound sooo good. Got the breakfast poutine and the burger. The poutine portion looked small at first, but topped with two eggs and a yummy sauce consisting of mushrooms and braised beef, it was comforting and filling. I like how it was different from most breakfast poutines because it had thinly shredded hashbrown. Yums! The burger was also really great - simple but the patty was juicy and the bun was perfectly toasted. I see reviews about a burger with truffle and I assume it's available for dinner because the breakfast one did not have any on it. Had a mimosa to compliment my brunch. The server was amazing and not overbearing. I saw some pics of what's available for dinner and I'd love to visit again for other dishes. I came to Inglewood to visit kane's harley diner, but it was closed and this place was open so here I had breakfast. Its a small busy place so I had to sit at the bar. I had simple breakfast of eggs bacon and hashbrowns. All really great. They give you some toasted peices of baguette. They also give you a french press of coffee. So even though it was not my plan, was glad I stopped by. read more

Lovely spot in Inglewood. My friend and I tried the vegetarian burger, mushroom toast and mussels and frites. The veggie patty is from "Know Meat". Personally, I prefer this patty to the Beyond patty because it actually has a nice composition of lentils, spices and a range of textures. The bun is vegan and tasted like a regular bun to me. The mushroom toast is decadent and a must order. Loads of shitake and other mixed mushrooms in a light creamy sauce. The mussels were huge and tender, one of the best in the city. Was looking for some fine dining and the restaurants we were looking for were all closed. We popped into this little gem and were not disappointed. The service was prompt and helpful. I had the duck and my date had the beef. The duck was amazing, maybe one if the best I've had. She thoroughly enjoyed the beef. The atmosphere was cool and rustic. Great martini, you could tell the bartender had been trained professionally. My only issue would be the wine selection. A wide variety but you have to pay for it. Haven't been this impressed by a dinner service in a long time. Top-notch service, thoughtful menu selections, and fantastic food. The pork chop is massive, really lovely piece of meat cooked perfectly. More than enough to share for 2 people. The poutine sounded very interesting and I'm glad we got it - the sauce was unreal. Much different from your standard heavy, greasy poutine. I really enjoyed the salad - the different elements come together so well, especially the warm pieces of pork and the devilled eggs. Crispy almonds, too, which added a really nice texture. The owner also came out and chatted for a bit, super nice dude. This is approachable upscale food that hits the mark perfectly. Nice comfortable restaurant in Inglewood serving up some pretty good food. 4.5 stars. For appetizers we had the mussels and the poutine. Both were delicious and sizeable for being "small plates". The poutine uses the same sauce and meat from their beef bourginon entree dish. It is a meal in itself. The mussels were fresh and the Paris butter sauce was great to soak up with the bread accompaniment. For entrees we had the duck confit, beef bourginon, and the steak and frites. All were very tasty and again sizeable portions. You may want to adjust your appetizer selection given the size of the entrees and appetizers. So value wise it was very good and the service was superb. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will come back again. read more

Menu selection (cocktail and main) is absolutely wonderful. Tried the burrata, the mussels, the frog legs, the steak tartare, the bistro salad, and a black rose cocktail, and all were fantastic. From the moment we sat a the table by the window the magic started to happen... a lovely Inglewood street scape view, to foiegras, so soft and creamy over the unique potato cake, a. mazing! to fresh tuna hamachi with a lively slaw of radish and jalepeno a. mazing and onto a very well prepared crispy duck confit, fork tender large piece of short rib with all the trimmings, yes, wild mushroom ragout...from the truly curated selections of wine we choose a red that took us through every delicious bite. My boyfriend took me here on a date and it couldn't have been a better experience! A perfect combination of classy and cozy atmosphere with a beautiful ceiling and local art on the walls. We had their Caesar salad and poutine, a tasty twist on each of them. Service was excellent and prompt, the owners were in and made us feel very at home.
