Our dinner here was heavenly! It is an adorable French bistro and everything is on point - being greeted in French, the music the decor and an old movie playing (no sound) in black and white on a projector. They have glass separating the tables and require masks in compliance with the laws and we felt very comfortable. Our waiter was so attentive and friendly. We started with the small charcuterie platter; amazing meats and house made pates so rich and full of flavour. My husband had the market fish.... and this was probably the best piece of fish I've ever had! I had the muscles and fries ; the broth was so full of flavour and it was a great portion size. For dessert we shared the lemon cheesecake (it was a pretty big piece) which was delicious and light for a cheesecake. I highly recommend trying this spot out!

I had an amazing dinner at Cassis Bistro!!! I highly recommend you try it out. My server Zara was excellent and makes one of the best Americano I have had in a long time. In fact, I ordered two it was so good. I had Duck foie gras torchon - house ginger bread Plat Pri Duc, Beef tartare au couteau and New York Steak Frites ending off with Creme Brûlée and 20 year old Taylor Fladgate Port. Had their housewine which paired very nicely with the Beef Tartare. Had a full body red and delightful light refreshing Chardonnay. Overall, the experience was as I expected. You can't beat French cooking for the best cuisine. The servers were delightful, the restaurant ambience was excellent, the candlelight's and background music made it magical. Treat yourself or others to this wonderful experience!

Review #29 of Yelp's 30 Day Challenge 2012 Cassis was hittin' some home runs when it first opened. And now? Well... now, it's weathered the Calgary climate and has successfully earned it's right to my 5-stars (which are getting harder to earn these days I might add...). Consistently tempting me with daily specials made based on what's available in the attached market that day, Cassis always serves up something delicious. I remember one meal last winter, it was like -30 gazillion outside, and Gilles talked me into this duck shepherd's pie kind of thing. The ideal comfort food I believe he said it was. And he was right! Not that it took much to talk me into it. On other occasions, I've enjoyed the daily fish, or the moule and frites on special on Fridays (double check that, I haven't been in on a Friday in awhile). And of course, there's always some kind of dessert to tempt even the fullest of tummies. Always in a class of it's own, full of style and taste, you can't go wrong with the Southern French flavour Cassis brings to Calgary's food scene. Tip: Heading in on a weekend? Make sure you make a reso. Cassis is tiny and popular!

I've had lunch here a couple times now and the croque madame is soooo good. :) I also had a moules frittes today and it was a large portion and deeeelicious! I haven't come here for dinner but I do recommend the lunch/brunch. Tips: - make reservations as the place is small - its a small menu, & may have a few changes seasonally

Daily special was amazing (salmon). Crossed over to the red wine dark side with Chateau Cos d'Estournel 'Les Pagodes de Cos.

The duck & waffles was a confit duck leg, vanilla liege waffles, foie gras gravy with a bistro salad that had a yuzu vanilla vinaigrette. Duck was delicious. I liked the salad, but honestly felt that the vanilla in the vinaigrette would be best removed. However, that's my personal opinion. The waffles were... ok. It was like eating cake and bits of sugar. I mentioned to the server that the waffles had chunks of sugar in them, but she said that they were sugar coated. To be honest, I'm not convinced. there was chunks of white sugar, not a glaze...In the waffle itself. And the batter was very heavy, thick and cake like. Not the best waffles. French toast was great, very filling and delicious. It has a foie gras caramel, maple pecans, maple caramelized apples, whipped cream cheese and back bacon. This can easily be your new favourite. My mimosa was amazing, best mimosa I've honestly ever had. Americano wasn't really anything special, especially for $6. While it was a decent breakfast, I don't think I would order waffles again from here unless they change their recipe. I was also a little disappointed they didn't have more than 2 flavours of latte. I don't think I would return with the competition that's out there, but it wasn't bad.

The menu doesn't give you appetizer options so all they have are expensive mains. I ordered the cabbage rolls and basically it was very small amount of cabbage with tons of pork sausage for $34. Yes it was alright but that was it! No vegetables, no side starch. Sides are not even in the menu for you to order. The dish was way too heavy. My husband's gnocchi dish was mediocre as well. The service was good though. It wasn't their fault that the restaurant menu was so bad. I ended up leaving and headed to Norleys to order Empanadas. Overall we will not go back. Such a bad experience.

Awesome Date night! My wife and I did the "date Night" menu…read morefor my birthday, and it didn't disappoint! Ribeye Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Some of the most delicious mashed potatoes (potato puree) I have ever had. The Caesar salad was also on point as was the cheesecake for desert. This was our first time there, bt will certainnly not be the last- wayy too many yummy things on the menu to check out

My family and I love French food and we were really excited to try this new place out…read more We started with the foie Gras, escargot, and French onion soup. They were all great. My parents favorite dish of the entire meal was the escargot. I loved the escargot. The French onion soup was a little salty but I finished the entire thing. For mains we ordered the beef Wellington, steak frites, and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Beef Wellington: we ordered the filet medium rare, more on the rare side. It came out medium rare/medium. The mushroom sauce was delicious, pastry flaky, and mashed potatoes creamy. Steak Frites: the fries were a let down because they had no truffle on them, the steak was quite flavorful with the sauce. It was unfortunate that the steak had a tendon running down the side of the strip. Prawns Fettucine: the sauce was very creamy. The noodles were almost too al dente for my liking (but that may be a style of French cooking?). The prawns didn't add anything special Dessert we got the banana foster. The cooking flambé display was impressive. The banana foster was good, but other than the flambé nothing too exciting. If I were to go back, I would try the chicken or duck. . . . Unfortunately, the mussels were a little fishy.
