Wonderful spot for a date night or special dinner. The ambiance is all around king Cesar's theme and the centre open flame grill is a truly unique experience. Service is 10/10 and very classy. The steak was delicious and fries were thin and crispy. Dessert was single portion and not too heavy. The salmon could use more seasoning though (more salt, pepper, herbs, sauce... anything!) and more cook to it (was still rare in the middle). I've also never had salmon taste so "fishy" before, even frozen ones from the grocery store tasted fresher. For that reason, I've dropped the rating to a 3. Everything else was great!

Awesome spot for steak! I'm visiting from out of town and was impressed by the service. Very nice establishment with good steak. I ordered the ribeye but I preferred my boyfriend's filet mignon. Baked potato was nice and I enjoyed the toppings of sour cream, green onion and bacon bits. The cheese bread was alright and the Caesar salad was good too. Broccolini was a miss for me - I enjoy mine with a bit of a char. Overall, enjoyed my meal with a nice bottle of red.

Incredible find in the Core of Calgary. 50+ year old institution. One of the best steak houses I have been in a while. Amazing atmosphere First class service Amazing staff The meal was amazing The table size flame made steaks are so different with your steak flammed right in front of you. The wine selection is extensive and reasonable with its price point. I would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Booked a reservation because it was highly recommended. All the staff was friendly except for our waiter, she maybe had a bad day. But several bad incidents included cutlery falling to the table and my seat. Steak was well cooked but bone was removed by our waiter. -bone in ribeye w/ baked potato -scampi w/ lemon garlic oil -Caesar salad -broccolini -onion rings -Caesar cocktail had to order bcuz it was invented here but did not enjoy it at all... it was salty and acidic

Debating as to whether to give Caesars 4 or 5 stars. Maybe the only things that kept it from getting 5 was limited choices of beer and wine by the glass, sides not up to their usual high standards, and out of date decor. But four stars is really good. It all comes down to the meat. The Filet Mignon is the centerpiece. The small size is 8.5 ounces but all three we were served looked larger. The medium rare, medium rare plus, and medium orders were all perfectly cooked. Personally, I had the t-bone and it delivered on the promise of the meatiness of a New York strip with the tenderness of a filet. My fav cut when cooked correctly and Caesar's delivered. Not sure exactly what seasoning they use but it adds flavor without being too salty (which is common at steakhouses). The sides were serviceable but not special. Double stuffed potatoes are the default but these lack the creamy mouthfeel. You can get a regular baked potato but mine was dry. There were veggie options and (surprisingly) cottage cheese. The service was impeccable. Yes Caesar's is expensive -- maybe a little more than it needs to be -- but I very much enjoyed the experience.

Service was exceptional. Wine was refilled all night. Rib eye was phenomenal. Filet mignon was a little dry. Caesar salad was standard. Bread was good. Baked potato was acceptable.

No wonder this place has been around for 50 years. They could teach a masterclass on restaurant service. I remember going there in 1979 as a high school grad and being wow'd. While the room and menu really haven't changed much since then, it is still a wow. The Caesar Salad, served tableside is a great show, and the result is so cold, crisp and favorful. The chilled bowls that it is served in seems so simple - so why does no-one else do it? It changes the experience totally. We all had the Chateaubriand, again, served tableside. It is amazing that the servers can do such beautiful plating, it's really impressive. Of course it was delicious. Perfectly crisp veg, steak cooked exactly how we asked, the old school re-baked potato. And the final touch, table-served condiments for the potato. It really brought a smile to my face. This is not a cheap experience, but it certainly is a great experience.

Excellent filet mignon, perfect. Not inexpensive, but worth the price. Comfortable ambiance, good service. Happy to tip appropriately.

We started with the appetizers, the beef carpaccio and Caesar salad, both were excellent and really set a good tone for the evening. The carpaccio was well-seasoned and fresh, and the salad had a nice balance of creamy and crisp. For our main, we went with the Canada Prime bone-in porterhouse, which came with two sides. The jalapeño creamed corn tasted more like jalapeño grits than corn, which threw me off a bit, it wasn't really my thing. The twice-cooked fingerlings with bacon, chives, and sour cream, on the other hand, were delicious, crispy, flavorful, and well-balanced. Unfortunately, the steak itself missed the mark for me. It arrived lukewarm, not hot like you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse, which was disappointing. For a cut that's supposed to be the star of the show, the temperature really detracted from the experience. To finish off, we kept it light with two scoops of gelato, one cherry vanilla and the other a lemon sorbet. Both were refreshing and hit the spot for a light, sweet ending. Service was definitely a strong point, our server was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the night. Overall, it was a mixed experience: great apps, strong service, but the main event which was the steak it just didn't deliver like I'd hoped. I'd give it another try, but probably order something different next time.

I am not a huge fan of steaks, so I got a few sides. The scallops were cooked to perfection. They melted in my mouth and I would easily order this again. The lobster mac and cheese was my least favourite, it wasn't bad more like average, not a lot of lobster pieces.

The "baked" potato was microwaved vs actually baked And it was so cool that the butter I put on it didn't melt. Ordered a side of garlic prawns and got 3 small unflavored shrimp instead that were maybe an inch long if you stretched it out. my sons fries were undercooked (some weren't even golden, they were still potato white) And said some of them were kinda crunchy/stiff. I had the owners cut of prime rib and it was smaller than the last two times I had been to smugglers where I ordered a smaller cut (first mate) And it was cold, even the au jus was barely warm. Also probably the smallest Yorkshire pudding I've ever had there. Maybe 1/3 the size you use to get. We ordered desert and it took newly 30 mins for it to be brought out - my son's "warm" apple krisp was cold he said. i have been smugglers at least A dozen times in the last 3 years and more so in the last decade and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. In both service and quality. As it stands I would not recommend - where as before I always raved about the smugglers inn. For a $400+ bill for myself and my 3 kids, I def expected way better quality, actual warm food and not have to wait a combined time of over an hour for service. It was also my son's birthday, and he found the experience very disappointing and said he never wants to go back. When we booked we said it was a birthday, we mentioned it was his birthday and the server didnt even say happy birthday to him. Oh and it wasn't even that busy when we got there... there was maybe 10 costumers when we arrived. I might try it again due to past visits being great. But another experience like tonight and I'll probably take my prime rib expeditions else where. I doubt my kids will ever go back as the complained how horrible it was the entire drive home. I usually don't give a lot of reviews but it was such a sub-par experience I had to report it.

Parking was pretty full but we managed to snag a spot. The place was busy but not too loud. While the server did ask us if we were celebrating anything, there wasn't really anything done that made out time there special. We started with the Marrow and Escargot and shared a 12oz Prime Rib with lobster tail and Creme Brulee for dessert. The food was okay, not sure if it was worth the price of admission. Server was fine, but not memorable. We were disappointed in the experience as this used to be our go to (bi-monthly) dinner place before the ownership change.

The duck & waffles was a confit duck leg, vanilla liege waffles, foie gras gravy with a bistro salad that had a yuzu vanilla vinaigrette. Duck was delicious. I liked the salad, but honestly felt that the vanilla in the vinaigrette would be best removed. However, that's my personal opinion. The waffles were... ok. It was like eating cake and bits of sugar. I mentioned to the server that the waffles had chunks of sugar in them, but she said that they were sugar coated. To be honest, I'm not convinced. there was chunks of white sugar, not a glaze...In the waffle itself. And the batter was very heavy, thick and cake like. Not the best waffles. French toast was great, very filling and delicious. It has a foie gras caramel, maple pecans, maple caramelized apples, whipped cream cheese and back bacon. This can easily be your new favourite. My mimosa was amazing, best mimosa I've honestly ever had. Americano wasn't really anything special, especially for $6. While it was a decent breakfast, I don't think I would order waffles again from here unless they change their recipe. I was also a little disappointed they didn't have more than 2 flavours of latte. I don't think I would return with the competition that's out there, but it wasn't bad.
