I must have blinked because suddenly the very last century (dare I say even 90's) style copy/internet shop that was at this corner morphed into a cozy looking coffee shop! They still have the internet shop but split it up in two, so its is connected with a door to the coffee place, what a very smart business move! The neighbourhood could definitely use another option for coffees, and the offer of pastries and sandwiches is small but very nice! I'll be over a lot more as its on my way from home to town, happy this got added to the neighbourhood! And good to still have a place to gt my copies or scans at the same time!

Great little coffee shop to stop in and have great service and quality! We only stopped in for coffee and pastries, but there were many other food options that looked really good! The prices were all very affordable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. When we went it was a tad busy, but there are plenty of tables so that wasn't an issue. Overall great local shop and if you are nearby it is definitely worth stopping in for good coffee and food!

A great little coffee place, lunch if needed, small nibbles, and GREAT coffee :) And as an added bonus VERY fast internet 45Mbps download and 25Mbps up.

    A regular latte!

The macchiato was made properly and the beans were of good quality. They do have seating in the back but I didn't check it out. The store front is very well put together. They also have a good selection of baked goods. The lemon blueberry cake was very nice. Definitely a repeatable experience if you like good coffee.

I want to sit and smoke a pipe in here while solving great mysteries (which, if you can't deduce,…read moreis a complete and utter compliment). Strumpets is the newest addition to an already packed West End roster of coffee shops - so much so, that it sits directly next to another cafe. I'm not sure how that will bode for their future, but it gave me a giggle nonetheless. I've been off the ol' coffee lately, so when we popped our heads in here, I opted for orange juice. Pricy for the bottle, but unlike my recent grumble about cafes charging £3+ for standard tropicana, the fare offered here is on the higher end of the juice scale and seems a little more justified in its crazy price tag. Regardless, I would happily throw down £3 again to sit in their ridiculously adorable back room! With ornate chairs, a pretty little window seat and well picked antiques - it's like stepping into a lady Sherlock's study. I'm a BIG fan. It's TINY - three spaces to sit, all of them no more than two chairs - but on a quiet day, it would be a great place to work from... it positively screams world domination! However, if it's a bit cramped, they do have one slightly larger table out front. The owner is super cheerful and the baked goods look interesting. They do crumpets on Sundays, which is a nice touch and duly noted, as it's an easy stop on the way home for me. I'm nervous for this place, because I'm not sure it has the oomph to keep up with some of the big gun cafes now residing in the West End, but I hope i'm wrong - because this little spot wins on charm alone.

I adored the lime, poppyseed, and blueberry roulade! It was gone before the soup and toastie sandwich arrived. Crispy on the outside and so very soft and tasty on the inside. The cookie pie was impressive, but I honestly liked the roulade so much better. The soup today was broccoli and it was delicious! I had a ham and cheese sandwich lightly grilled in a panini press. Mom had a chorizo sandwich. The ladies at the bakery were lovely! Friendly happy folk always make food taste better! The bakery was quiet and not busy at 12:30 pm. It wasn't empty, just not busy. We got a table for 3! It was funny (and also a sad commentary on humans) that the still water available said "Please turn the tap off." Silly people. Thank you so much for a wonderful lunch! Mom said very good! Very different!

My very first time I came I tried a vegan cinnamon bun. It was warm, soft, and had that sweet caramelization from the sugar on the bun. It was soooo good. After that, I kept coming back about once a week to grab a treat and sometimes a drink. Everything I've tried has been so delicious and the staff is always very kind. If you follow them on Instagram they even sometimes release what goods are in the shop since they switch it up! Tasty Buns definitely became a go to of mine and I think there is truly something for anyone with a sweet tooth!
