Awesome stuff! * Building is well built. I never hear my neighbors. Layouts are really smart, and the finishes are good (not crazy about the color scheme myself). Staff is great! * Fun area with lots to do Stuff I wish I knew ahead of time * East side of building is loud. Lots of fools revving engines going down tenth ave. I was on the 9th floor and lots of dirt found its way to my balconies. I had to clean them frequently. Minor stuff * Sidewalks can smell sometimes from pets relieving themselves. The building occasionally cleans up but they should double the effort. * Lots of homeless east of 10th. Not one or two or three, lots. Can be a bummer sometimes. * Smoke will travel through the vents. It seemed the worst in the kitchen. If your neighbors is smoking weed you will smell it. Building is smoke free so just tell security that someone below you is smoking and they will handle it.

I've lived in this building for two years, and the experience has been nothing short of frustrating…read moredue to constant harassment and unfair treatment by management. Throughout my lease, the leasing office has repeatedly accused me of marijuana use in my unit with absolutely no evidence. I've never been issued a lease violation, no neighbors have come forward with any direct complaints, and no one has ever found anything in my unit. Still, they continue to make baseless assumptions and treat me like a problem instead of a resident. What makes it worse is the complete lack of fairness and consistency. As my lease is coming to an end, the same management team that has spent the last two years harassing me is now reaching out to ask me to renew my lease yet they refuse to allow me to transfer to a different available unit in the building. I was told that if I want a different apartment, I would have to move out entirely and reapply like a brand-new tenant. No flexibility, no appreciation for being a two-year resident. Just a cold "no" with zero willingness to work with me. That makes no sense, especially after fulfilling my lease and paying rent on time for two years. This kind of treatment feels incredibly unfair and discriminatory. The management's behavior shows they don't care about long-term tenants, only control and convenience for themselves. The apartments themselves might be decent, but the way the leasing office treats people especially long-term tenants is unacceptable. I hope a supervisor or someone higher up sees this and reaches out to help fix this situation. I should be able to transfer to an available unit without being forced out.

I moved in February 2026 and intentionally waited to write this review. Every new building has its…read moreups and downs, and I wanted to give the community enough time to see how management handles situations and addresses unexpected issues. Let's start with the areas that could use some improvement. The rooftop has a large TV screen for residents to enjoy, but unfortunately, it has been broken since I moved in. I've been told several times that it would be repaired, but it still hasn't been fixed. My previous building, Radian, also had an outdoor screen, and when it stopped working, it was repaired within a couple of weeks. So, I know these types of issues can be resolved relatively quickly. The second area I would like to see improved is the cleaning of the common areas. In my experience living in other luxury apartment communities, the floors and shared spaces were cleaned at least every other day. More consistent cleaning would help maintain the overall appearance and experience of the building. Aside from those two things, I really don't have any major complaints. Any other issues I've experienced have been addressed and resolved within a couple of days, which I really appreciate. Now for what makes this building truly special: the people who work here. The leasing team is always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help whenever they can. They strike the perfect balance with residents--friendly enough to make you feel like part of the community without ever being intrusive. The concierge team is also in a league of its own. Triana, in particular, has gone above and beyond for me on countless occasions. He consistently goes beyond what is expected of him, remembers my guests, and greets them as warmly as he greets me. Whenever I experience even the smallest inconvenience, he is quick to step in and help. Overall, The Lindley is an amazing place to live. While there are a couple of areas where I think improvements could be made, the exceptional staff and the sense of community truly make this place feel like home. I'm genuinely happy to call The Lindley my home.

Two stars. Calling this "luxury" feels like false advertising with a rooftop…read more Maybe if this is your first "luxury" building, you'll be impressed. Maybe if you just moved to San Diego and vinyl floors, a high floor and a polished leasing tour scream luxury to you, congratulations -- you may have found your dream home. This place feels like it was designed specifically for transplants who moved to San Diego five minutes ago and haven't figured out what they're paying for yet. Seriously, ask your neighbor if they're actually from San Diego. I'm starting to think the answer is probably no. If you're actually from here, know this market, and know what premium California rent is supposed to buy, the disappointment sets in quickly. And please, during the tour, TOUCH THINGS. The cabinets feel cheap and flimsy. The flooring isn't hardwood -- it's vinyl. Once the leasing-tour lighting wears off, you start wondering exactly which part of the apartment warranted the luxury adjective. A view and a rooftop do not magically turn cheap finishes into luxury. And concierge? An entire experience of its own. The eye rolls, dismissive attitude and general air that residents are inconveniencing the person sitting at the front desk would almost be funny if residents weren't paying thousands of dollars every month to live here. You represent the FRONT LOBBY of a supposedly luxury building. Basic professionalism isn't an optional amenity. I pay my rent. I'm not paying your salary separately. Act accordingly. And despite all that attitude, I've had packages disappear multiple times. Amazon probably thinks I'm running an organized refund operation at this point. Amazon, babe, it's not me. It's the building. Then there's the pool. I laid down to tan and ended up with actual shards of broken glass puncturing my skin. Management came outside, saw what happened and asked if I was okay. I followed up afterward by email. No response. Nothing says luxury management quite like "Are you okay?" followed by complete radio silence. And prospective residents should know that there is literally a HOTEL operating inside this supposedly luxury residential building and sharing amenities. I have no idea whether the broken glass came from a resident, hotel guest or someone else. I just know checking a pool lounger for glass before putting my body on it wasn't included in the leasing presentation. Then there are the elevators, which seem to maintain their own work-life balance. And if you enjoy sleeping, good luck with the surrounding construction. I've dealt with construction noise outside my bedroom while another building has gone up and affected my view. Obviously management doesn't control every construction project happening downtown, but it certainly adds another layer of comedy when you're already questioning exactly what you're paying a premium for. New management has done absolutely nothing to improve my opinion of this place. Communication and follow-through have been disappointing, and judging by the resident group chat, dissatisfaction with the building isn't exactly a niche hobby. Prospective residents: research Greystar yourself. Don't rely on a beautiful leasing tour, and don't rely solely on this review either. Read reviews. Read public records. Research the company. Then make your own decision. Luxury isn't an adjective you slap on a listing because the building is tall. Luxury is quality. Luxury is service. Luxury is security. Luxury is professionalism. Luxury is feeling comfortable in the home you pay a substantial amount of money for. This building charges for the word and delivers the aesthetic. If you're a transplant who just wants to say you live in a downtown San Diego "luxury high-rise," perhaps you'll be perfectly happy. If you actually know San Diego and know what genuine high-end living feels like, shop around. Save yourself the gorgeous tour and subsequent character development. Two stars. One for my apartment. One for the view I have. Concierge and management can fight over who earned neither.

From the very first tour, through the approval process, and all the way to move-in, De'Andrew made everything smooth, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable. The maintenance staff is the best part of this place, they will response to your problems same day. My issue with pointe luxe is the management. 1st year living here and they tried to raise our rent 150 dollars. For what this place is offering we found it to be too much of an increase and decided to leave. Then came the inspection where they noted things were in order aside from a carpet cleaning, okay. Then the charges when we left were completely different. 300 dollars for a "full paint", 200 dollars for a "full clean" when we cleaned the apartment prior to leaving, and most egregious was 1100 dollars for a "counter replacement"! We lived there for a year and took good care of the place. They will find anything to get all of your security deposit and make you pay extra. Buyer beware

If the staff are not friendly, communicative, or considerate toward prospective residents before they even move in, it makes me question what the resident experience would be like after signing a lease. Good customer service and genuine care for residents are important parts of creating a positive living environment, and unfortunately, I did not feel that here.

Our experience has been amazing starting with the office staff, building, and the community. Janina Dean has been one of the most genuinely kind people I have met. Her and David were so kind and helpful before we even moved into the building. Janina's kindness showed from day one which was her making it possible for us to move into our new home a week before Christmas so we could celebrate with family who was coming from out of town. The entire office staff and maintenance were so kind and accommodating to assure we get in before the holidays. The kindness from the staff has continued ever since we moved into the building. Our unit is a two bedroom, 2 bath very well thought out unit with amazing views! The interior is modern but homie. The walls are thick so you don't hear your neighbors above or next to you. There is a nice modern pool with a small fitness center. The location does not get any better in San Diego. We step out to some of the best restaurants in SD with lively events on a regular basis. We actually paid to get out of another lease to get into this building and I have to admit it was worth every penny! The most important thing for us is to feel comfortable and love where we live and this building provides that and so much more! It's easy to find luxury apartments, however it's the staff that truly makes the difference here.

The parking garage that you pay extra $140 per month for on top of your rent is disgustingly dirty and smelly, access takes forever going in and out. The fireplace on the deck floor pool area has never worked, been broken since years ago, management promised it would be fixed upon my move in 2+ years ago and was never repaired. It took the building years just to purchase a 1 single new cheap cargo cart for residents to utilize, while still keeping a falling apart broken nasty cart in the lobby area. Walls are chipped throughout the entire building, carpets in all the hallways and carpet area are stained and 10+ years old never changed. Several of my neighbors had cockroach infestations and floods in there units. The building is now over 50% empty with the same units being vacant for years as everyone is moving out the first chance they get. While management keeps raising rent each year for a falling apart building with zero amenities to offer, a tiny old gym with broken equipment and no ventilation. Even after moving out on June 25, I was incorrectly charged a full month's rent for July, renters insurance, pet-related fees, and then a late fee was added on top of those incorrect charges. I had to repeatedly call and email to try to get my account corrected. One of the most frustrating aspects was dealing with the Property Manager, **Suzy Reyes**. Phone calls were never returned, concerns were not addressed, and I never felt that management genuinely cared about resolving resident issues. Communication was consistently poor throughout my tenancy. The property itself has numerous problems: * Excessive monthly water charges that seemed unreasonably high. * Residents are charged separately for pest control, yet I experienced a mouse infestation while living there. * The trash area was frequently overflowing and unsanitary. * Hallways and elevators were often dirty and poorly maintained. * The apartment windows were old, worn out, and in need of replacement. I was even charged a $75 late fee despite being enrolled in AutoPay. I had to prove that AutoPay had been set up before the charge was finally removed. Residents should not have to spend their time correcting management's billing mistakes. After I moved out, I was also charged for cleaning, painting, and carpet cleaning, even though I thoroughly cleaned the apartment before turning in my keys. I left the unit in good condition and was surprised by these additional charges. Overall, this property charges premium rent while providing substandard maintenance and customer service. My experience left me feeling that resident concerns were simply not a priority. I cannot recommend living here and would encourage prospective renters to carefully research this property before signing a lease.
