My friend brought back donuts from this place in Montreal and I thought it was so delicious! I…read moredon't usually ever get donuts since they are so high in calories and if I ever do, I just get the cheap and tiny ones at Tim Hortons. But this place really opened my eyes to how delicious donuts from an actual donut shop can be. Granted they were a day old but it was still so soft and fluffy. These donuts were also massive! Anyways, I tried the Kit Kat, Dubai Chocolate, Pistachio Chocolate, Creme Brulée, Apple Fritter, Cookier Monster, Biscoff, and their blueberry cheesecake. My favorite is the Apple fritter, Biscoff and blueberry cheesecake! These three were so delicious and not as sweet as the other ones. The Apple Fritter was possibly one of the best one I ever had. Albeit, some of them were a bit firm on the inside but I suspect it is because they were a day old. Overall, I really like the donuts here and I would definitely go visit whenever I go to Montreal. I had to do 2 hours of cardio the next day but it was worth it.

Decided to try Homers, a place that makes donuts in a new innovative way. Donuts are larger than…read moreregular ones you're used to. Surprisingly, the donuts are not oily like small donuts from other stores, and they're not at all heavy! The donuts are huge that you can cut into four pieces and share. You can actually buy different types, cut and share with your party. We tried various types and they're all great! They also serve donuts with fried halal chicken tenders that we tried and it was so good. The coffee tasted great. You might have noticed the waiting line in the photos. This was at night at around 10-11pm on a Saturday night. We're told that this location is busy on most days of the week. On one side of the store are free arcade games for kids and adults to try. This is one of five locations in the Montreal area and it's located on a busy street in Laval (northern Montreal suburbs). It was the first at homers and it was a great experience. I'm sure we'll be back to try other variations of donuts.

One word of caution**** the owner of the strip mall seriously needs to do something with the parking at this plaza. It borders on the "shake your head crazy". Trying to find a parking spot is like looking at the mall at Christmas as it shares the same lot as Ton Por restaurant (which can sit over 100 people) plus the ever more popular Marche C&T. The lot is small. Drive safe and stay patient. The Chinese bun offering is pretty similar to what you can get with Harmonie. However I've been here when they have been super fresh and here at another time when they seemed like they sat there for quite some time. The offering is pretty large. A few different coconut, Char siu bao, ham and cheese, curry beef are just some of the varieties. There are many many more. They also have cakes cookies and even tea soaked eggs. Overall I would say Harmonie is fresher. This is my view as the volume they go through in Chinatown is quite a bit more than here. Quality of the buns is pretty good though. I will be back when I'm not in he mood to head all the way downtown. Decent quality at decent price.

When I called the store to get a refund, I was told I had to call Door Dash as they were the delivery agent. I called Door Dash and was told it had nothing to do with them since I ordered directly from Tim Horton. I then called Tim Horton Custom Service and was told to email them. I did so. It took 24 hours to get a reply back and they told me I could not get a refund but offered me useless Tim Horton points. Very disgusting custom service all around.

I used to think their bland coffee was a one-off incident...that someone didn't prepare the pot according to the "recipe." Hence, I've kept returning intermittently hoping it will improve. Alas, no such luck. The coffee in my cup right now is akin to drinking warm tap water. Yes, there are alternatives (Think: Second Cup or Starbucks) but for convenience this location would be ideal if only they could make a decent cup of brew. Their doughnuts, too, have become chewy, chalky and downright unpalatable. Only recently did I decide to give them another try, and was I ever profoundly disappointed! To be fair, there are other TH's I've been to that serve a better grade of coffee, generally speaking. However, their doughnuts are still best avoided whenever possible. Whether it's because of this particular location or a general cutback in the quality of ingredients used, TH ain't what it used to be. As far as I'm concerned, Tim's stopped being iconically Canadian a long time ago.
