Okkkkie dokie Came…read morehere for a family reunion invitation. My elders suggested the place. Mind was thinking hmmm will it be a good place? Drove up with the family to join the shin dig. The place is nestled along the coast associated with a marina. The complex the restaurant is housed in reminds me of an assisted living vibe that was repurposed as a family resort. Kinda like if you added some water slides and pools to the side of an ol folks home. We walk in, wife and kids begin chirping about how the restaurant looks ok but is giving off some retirement home, but! The patrons are mostly family. We are seated at the back of a nice room , however our back wall adorns a large lcd screen emblazoned with a digital beach scene. My back is to it, so it doesn't bother me too much. Now that ive set your expectations to "questonable"we get to the food. Wife and i not expecting much. We go with the recommendation from my parents to try the tomahawk steak- for four people, kids ordered salmon rice veges, and spaghetti dish, The tomahawk takes about 45 mins to prepare. Comes w a Cesar salad, and we also ordered a calamari appetizer. The house bread is soft warm and fresh. W a sid eof roasted red pepper butter. 5/5 Calamari has light batter w. A nice sauce chipotle mild? Very yum- 5/5 Ceasar salad on point w the right composition of dressing, and fresh greens! 5/5 Kids: My sons who are picky 1. Salmon rice broccolini dish- completely gobbled up. 5/5 2. Spaghetti w carbonara sauce. 3/5. He said it was ok. Maybe too heavy on the cheese. Tomahawk - came out cruise missile style and landed into my top steaks crater. This thing was pre cut, on a meat board , w delicious gravy in a gravy pot, side of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables? Maybe some were also grilled . The meat was perfectly done a medium- light red , tender, touch of blood. Made to order. Meat was all eaten , as were the veges and the mash 6/5! Considering my expectations were low when i was judging this place on its looks. Also tried a side of the mushrooms- well cooked w good aroma 5/5 Desert was a chocolate lava cake - light cake part and rich chocolate lava part-4/5 Needless to say. Exceeded expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Fresh food for what we ordered. Hidden gem at this seafood restaurant was the tomahawk steak- MVP!. Give this place a try!!! Service was good 4/5

Decided to eat here since it was Jazz night and it looked like a nice place. Service was attentive…read moreand the limoncello spritz was quite nice. Shared an order of mussels in Thai sauce, sauce was good but the smallest mussels I've ever seen. Good, not great. Being from Nova Scotia I should know better than to order seafood chowder in Ontario but they did say they were a seafood restaurant. It came to the table as a rather grey looking goop with a shrimp and two mussels stuck on top. They were the only identifiable seafood in the chowder plus I only found one potato chunk. My friend had the Thai red curry soup which was more of a risotto than a soup and while not horrible was underwhelming. I won't be going back and to boot, the jazz band didn't show up!

An Oasis in one of the loveliest villages in Canada, Neustadt, ON…read more A family-run business that spills over in excellent service and fare. They welcome (often) big groups and have a lovely (on the small side) patio where you can take on village life for a bit.

Decided to try the take out fish and chips tonight. This place has changed hands a few times in…read morerecent years and I'm looking forward to seeing it thrive. They have done a nice job sprucing things up a bit and revamping the kitchen. Hope to see the red carpet in the dining room go at some point. A bit under staffed as they get on their feet a lot of work for one person at front of house to manage, quite a long wait for walk ins due to covid restrictions on the dining room. Definitely call ahead for a reservation. Staff was friendly and polite took our order correctly. Our meals where pretty good! We got two orders of the Fisherman's platter. One with fries and one with a Ceasar salad. Breading on the fish was light the halibut was a nice large piece! Cooked perfectly nice and flakey not greasy at all. The scallops and shrimp where cooked well too. Chips where fresh and light. The Ceasar salad was not worth the 3.50$ dollars for the upgrade. They just tossed two strips of bacon with it. No croutons, red onion or even parmasean. Was also dissapointed that they didn't do a home made tartar sauce and also no lemon provided with the fish. At first I was excited to see the paper in the take out bag! Then realized they wrapped the take out box in paper. Hopefully they will cut back on the waste and just wrap the fish in that beautiful paper moving forward. Would really love to see this place stick to fish and chips and sea food options and perfect their sides. Would love to see more fish and seafood meals and stay away from the burgers etc and really specialize on the seafood. There's plenty of wing and burger family restaurants and I think they could really make a go of it if they keep it simple, fresh and refined! Found it a bit pricey but overall enjoyed out meals great piece of fish! This cost us 70$ with tax.

Surprising find in Wasaga Beach. If not for the large sign…read moreon Mosely, one would not likely notice it. A small Portuguese restaurant and Steakhouse. In summer can accommodate many more on large private patio, but inside is warm and cozy. Food was excellent, great quality in good sized portions. Steak served on a hot stone plate with veggies and roast potatoes was both inviting and tasty. Calamari was excellent. Decent wine list. Varied menu to appease most palates. Service was warm, friendly and efficient. Owner was personable and more than welcoming. Felt like you were being served by friends. Prices were high for the area, but is all relative, actually great value for the quality and would command much higher prices if in Toronto. Overall a great meal in a comfortable surrounding, provided by excellent staff. Well worth the money.

But the food was a bit of a let down. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out over cooked. It wasn't burnt or anything but it was closer to well done than medium rare. My wife ordered the grilled octopus. It had a weird consistency throughout. The edges did have some nice charring to it though. I wanted to avoid going to a chain restaurant but you're better off going to one of the chains and skipping this place.
