The guy that came to my house the first time, whose name was Ricky, looked at the coils of the air handler and told me that they needed cleaning. But, when he went to see the condenser and noted that the motor wasn't running, he gave me a quote for that. When I asked him about the dirty coils he would not give me a quote. He said that cleaning the coils was very expensive. I even told him to give me a quote and that I would consider it. But, he still didn't give me a quote. I told Rafael (the owner) that I did not understand why Ricky would tell me that the coils were very dirty and needed cleaning and later he said that cleaning the coils was very expensive and he refused to give me a quote for it. I explained to Rafael that I had told Ricky that I wanted the quote in order to determine whether or not I wanted to authorize the work because if it was necessary as he had told me that it was, then, I wanted to consider doing it even if it was not the direct cause of the air conditioner not working. Rafael only said that Ricky talked too much, which by itself means nothing, and he did not expand on his remark. I now realize that Ricky just had a trace of conscience and did not want to charge me for cleaning coils that didn't need cleaning and that, as he stated, was a very expensive job. But, if he had not found the real cause of the problem, he would have charged me for cleaning the coils, even though it wasn't necessary, and he would not have had any qualms about it. I told Rafael that Ricky had first said that replacing the broken motor would cost me $400.00 for the labor (my air conditioner is still under warranty for parts) and that, later, he raised it to $495.00. I, also, told Rafael that when I asked Ricky why he increased the quote by $95.00, he said that his boss (a.k.a., Rafael) had increased it. (I was with Ricky the entire time and I did not see him in communication with anyone by phone or text.) I asked Rafael if he would accept a payment of $450.00 and he said that I could pay $450.00 if I paid in cash or with Zelle. I almost agreed. But, I decided that I did not like that because I could not defend myself if the job was not done properly. So, I told him that I would do it with him for the $450.00 and that I would pay with a credit card. He agreed. Rafael sent a different guy to do the work. I do not recall his name so I will refer to him as the tech. The tech removed the motor with the encasing attached to it and off he went, supposedly, to the distributor. In the meantime, I called Rafael and asked him if the tech could give me a photo of the receipt. He said that he could give me a photo of what they give him, but, it's not a receipt. I said that it would be fine if he gave me a photo of whatever they give him. Then, when the tech gets back, he asked me if Rafael hadn't called me and I told him that I had called Rafael about getting a photo of the receipt. At this point, the tech tells me that the Rheem distributor was out of my motor but that he had an identical one in his van that he could give me. I said that I did not want the motor in his van and besides that, I would have to pay him for it and I did not want to do that when my motor was still under the manufacturer's warranty. I asked him how he got the motor in his van and he said that he got it from another customer that decided not to do the work. A minute or so later, as he was putting the motor back in its place, I said that I didn't understand how someone can agree to do the work with a company and after the part is bought change his mind. At this point, the tech did a 180° degree turn and said that the customer did do the work with him and that "as a matter of fact, he had replaced all of the parts." I couldn't believe my ears. I told him that he had just said that he had the motor in his van because the customer had changed his mind about doing the work. The tech did not back down from his new response even though he had just contradicted himself in a matter of a minute. I felt like I was in the twilight zone and I also felt quite disgusted. The ease with which this tech shamelessly lied to my face was not only insulting but it was also repugnant. I did not say anything else. He put my motor back in its place and left. I know that asking for a photo of the receipt given by the distributor saved me the headaches that I would have had if I had let the lying tech install the "motor that he had in his van," which probably would have been a cheap and refurbished piece of junk. In turn, they could have used the stats of my condenser, which they had, to get a brand new motor from the distributor at my expense. Rafael and his company, "Freezing Point Air Conditioning," totally wasted my time with his and his goons skimming and conniving.

I was no longer first on schedule after payment for service maintenance plan, he lied about my appointment time to replace BOTH inside and outside coils. I was furious as I lost needed income (esp for his high fees) while waiting for his techs all day to arrive. No apology, no compensation for my time and no response to my texts and phone calls. I knew he was available because he was communicating through his techs to me. But he went poof directly to me. I am writing this review as a warning to stay far away. I feel scammed by this business hoax. I wasted $4100 in one year to Raphael LAMBOY, the price gouger. No wonder, he prefers Zelle. I don't believe now there were huge problems with my AC and feel taken advantage of by this conman with huge fees. Save your time and save your money because Raphael will happily run away with it without any regard toward your customer satisfaction. He only cares about money. Period. NOT the customer.

Called up A Line and they were there within the hour. Got it back up and running in the dark and came back the next day to finish the job. I was only able to speak with them over the phone, but their communication was excellent and they reiterated everything they did in detail. My tenants had nothing but good things to say, and most important, their A/C was back on for the night. This is the first time I've used them, but I'll be calling them next time. Excellent service, honest pricing and fast response.

I knew it would be a quick fix. They were flexible with me and I was able to get a spot within a few days. When the guys arrived to do the repair they were quick and my AC was working again within about 25 minutes. Pretty smooth experience. I would use them again in the future. I think its important to remember that you often need to give a day or two in order to schedule an appointment.

I called them again today because of this Miami cold snap, and Daniel was a total lifesaver. He was at my place within hours and figured out the issue right away. TERRIBLE COMPANY. I…read morehired Centry Air Designs to install two new AC units in my condo in Miami Beach. The job total was $7,900. I paid them a 50% deposit of $ 3,950 on Wednesday July 27, 2022. They were supposed to install the units on Monday August 1, 2022. On August 1 I learned that they had NOT EVEN STARTED PULLING A PERMIT with the city to install the units so they could not do the job that day. They thought they could install the units without pulling any permits which makes no sense to me. They said they would get all the paperwork done and could do the install on Thursday August 4. On Thursday August 4 they again delayed and I found out that they STILL HAD NOT SUBMITTED ANY PAPERWORK TO EVEN FILE THE PERMITS. At this point it has been 9 days since I paid them and they lied to me multiple times saying they would do the job on a certain date and then when that date came I found out they hadn't even gotten started pulling permits or anything. On Thursday August 4 I told them that I NO LONGER WANTED THEM TO DO THE JOB and asked them to REFUND ALL MY MONEY. They said they would refund my money the next week. The next week I called them and they said the refund would be coming at the end of the week. On Friday August 12 I called them again and they said they would not refund me until they got a refund from the manufacturer for the air conditioners. I called them back again on Monday August 15 and they said they would refund my money that day. It's Tuesday August 16 and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. Absolutely no work or service was provided to me. THEY HAVE LIED TO ME AGAIN AND AGAIN AND STILL REFUSE TO REFUND MY MONEY. I am astonished that they were trying to install two new air conditioners in my home without pulling permits at all. This is unacceptable and I want my $3,950 back.
