Instead of brushing it off or treating symptoms in isolation, she took the time to do an incredibly thorough history and truly listen. Her special training and interest in sleep health led her to identify a diagnosis that had been completely missed for over 35 years. Because of her insight, I am finally receiving appropriate treatment for something I had unknowingly been living with most of my life. In addition to that, I have complex medical and orthopedic issues, and Dr. Yong has been an essential guide in helping me navigate all of it. She looks at the whole picture, not just one problem at a time. Her strong connections with specialists and thoughtful referrals have made a huge difference in the level of care I've been able to access. Dr. Yong is thorough, compassionate, and deeply committed to her patients. I always feel heard, taken seriously, and supported. I am incredibly grateful to be under her care. I've been with her for over a year now specifically to resolve chronic obesity that I have struggled with most of my adult life. It has been a life changing experience. On top of working on my weight she has become my GP and either treats or refers me out for any health issues that arise. From Poison Oak to Inner ear issues, she will guide you through it all. She is extremely pro-active with whole health management and dedicated to making sure her patients lead long healthy lives feeling the best they possibly can. I searched for years and visited multiple doctors before I found her. If you are looking for a doctor that will take your health seriously and will work with you long term, she's your gal! I was pleasantly surprised that her office had moved from a medical building into a private residential home across the street. The parking is easy, and I feel so much more comfortable in this home like setting. The house doubles as a sleep research center in the evenings, so don't be surprised by the cameras and some of the equipment. It is used to monitor overnight patients during sleep studies. I love the girls who run her office!! They are integral to her successful practice. I have come to know and adore them over the last year. Booking appointments, prescriptions, referrals are always a smooth easy process. Most of their communication is done by email, which I love and prefer. They are professional and kind, running a quiet, peaceful office. With Marjorie's treatment and care I have seen remarkable success with weight loss. It has been done in a steady maintainable fashion all while regularly monitoring my blood work, bone and muscle mass, and blood pressure. It's never just about dropping pounds but about getting me to the healthiest version of myself. Thank you, Dr. Yong and Staff! She had already been assigned to him, and her insurance plan was active. I called the office three days in a row and left messages. When I finally reached a staff member, she very quickly checked the insurance portal and told me she could not find my mom's name. I had just gotten off the phone with the insurance company, who confirmed that my mom was in the system and assigned to Dr. Sheybani. When I tried to explain this, the staff member repeatedly gave the same response and did not make any additional effort to re-check or search more thoroughly. She then told me that the doctor was not accepting new patients--despite the fact that he is listed by the insurance as a provider who is accepting new patients. Because of this contradiction, I went in person to the public office to clarify what was happening. There, I confirmed again that my mom is in the system and that Dr. Sheybani is indeed her assigned doctor. I am a healthcare service provider myself, and I understand how critical respectful communication and client relations are in a medical setting. Regardless of how skilled a physician may be, the front office staff are the first point of contact--and they represent the practice. This is a medical office, not a retail store; patients are often worried, unwell, or caring for vulnerable loved ones. The dismissive and unhelpful attitude we encountered suggests that the staff would greatly benefit from additional training in professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving.

His office staff, with Patty and Liz, were always friendly, efficient and welcoming, which made every visit smooth and comfortable. I've been a patient of Dr. Raiman's for about 10 years, and for a long time, I truly felt cared for…read moreby him. I valued our relationship and trusted that he was invested in my long-term health. Over the last decade, I have only seen him once a year for my annual physical and standard lab work. Fortunately, I have been in great health. I believed I actually meant something to the practice, but lately, the way the front office is being run has left me with no choice but to find a new provider. I understand that insurance companies are making it harder than ever for practices to survive. However, the high-pressure tactics coming from the front desk have turned a necessary transition to a "membership" model into a personal dealbreaker. For over a month, I've left messages to speak to Dr. Raiman to get a straight answer about the new $400 fee. Because , if I wait too long to pay, I was informed by Liz about a "quota" system, where the price will jump to $3,000 a year (it might be $4,000) once a quota is met. If the messages are being passed and he still won't call, it's clear where I stand. Patty simply told me her job is to "pass the messages" and that, "honestly, Dr. Raiman isn't going to call me back to discuss. He did that in the letter he sent". On top of that there is zero plan to help long-term patients transition to a new provider. Being told that "Dr. Raiman has no recommendations or referrals" and "that I should just find one through my insurance company" is a cold way to end a 10-year history. Being ghosted and told to send my own medical records through a portal is not the professional transition of care I expected. Both Patty and Liz have been argumentative, mean, and dismissive throughout this process. Their "take it or leave it" attitude, blocking access, and the pressure they are applying regarding these fees have effectively ended my time as a patient. It's disappointing to see a decade of trust thrown away because of how the front desk has handled this. Since Liz and Patty are acting as a road block and believe Dr. Raiman will not return my call, I have no choice but to put up a post.
