This path is surrounded by residential neighborhoods with ample of parking along the path or by the homes. I was lucky enough to turn on a street with large trees to keep my car cool. You can just park your car and cross the street onto the path. There were many people on this path with plenty of room for everyone. There's a pedestrian lane and two way bike lanes surrounded by all sort of plants. The path is made up by about five feet concrete separated by quarter inch dividers. These dividers made it very difficult to get a momentum on my skates since it was stopping me every time I passed over it. The only way to get through it was to go at an angle rather than straight over it. It's a great path for any other sports except skating. Other than that, it's a very peaceful place to stroll through. Also, crossing the street was easy and I love the smooth transition getting back on the path. read more

I'm not really a fan of this bike path. It's like a game of frogger trying to navigate the path without getting run over by all the bike traffic. You got one side dedicated for walkers/runners and the other side for cyclists . It's all good when there isn't too many people on the path but gets too crowded on weekends and peak hours. It's hard to get a nice running flow when you're constantly moving to the side because the dog walkers, little Timmy on his Razor scooter, or the couple holding hands taking a romantic stroll like it's a scene from the Notebook. Just too many obstacles for my taste. The pros- The flowers and grass are always manicured and freshly cut. Plenty of shade Benches located on each side of the trail Cons-Too narrow. Too much foot/bike traffic. Ticks. People don't always pick up after their dog so watch where you step. read more

I've been to this Bike Path numerous times and have not felt uncomfortable where I avoided here or felt unsafe (some weird encounters like anywhere like when a driver rolled their window down and really obviously took out their phone recording or taking pictures of me and my friend and drivers purposely slowing down near you across from where you're walking. Haven't reported anything yet thankfully. But anyways if you go at night, the path is lit with stadium- like lights overhead. I have gone as late as 1am and was just fine. *Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards, Hoverboards, E-Bikes, Rollerblading, Baby Carriages. Anything with wheels goes on this bike path! * Signs designate bike path and pedestrian path. Some don't know this when they first walk here and there have been previous instances of bicyclists passing by saying "pedestrian's go on this side." *Poop bags and disposal bins are there. Use them! *More shade would be nice like mini overhead shaded structures. I've tried coming and sometimes do days/ summertime but it gets brutally hot especially with the sun beaming right down on you! *This bike path is often noticed when people come to Burbank and in my eyes, it's a bit of a landmark. I think the city should paint the bike/ pedestrian pathway a fun different color, have Walt Disney or Warner Bros do some cool cartoons on the path representing Burbank, and modernize the path a bit more with landscaping. Perhaps I'll submit this to the city hahaha but just my thoughts as I don't think the majority of Burbank residents use this path read more

Delightful walking/bike path from Burbank to NoHo. The walkway is extremely smooth and great for all things with wheels, including strollers! Trees line the path at various points that make up the beautiful scenery. Not a ton of traffic alongside the path until you cross bigger intersections. This path is conveniently located near Magnolia blvd if you want to pop over for a coffee, lunch etc. Highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a nice easy breezy walk while still getting in some miles. read more

I walked the Chandler Bike Path many times during the pandemic because I can walk to it (and get more walking in) or it's a short drive. There's a lane for bikes and one of pedestrians. I like the murals, it's nice to see interesting buidlings. In the middle I like to pop in to Iliad Bookstore (if it's opened). I wouldn't mind have more greenery around and less trash. Wish they could plant more trees around to get more shade. There are some benches, could use more. It is a good area to have as an option for walking and biking safely in an urban area. This is a good way to use an old railroad route and turn it into a bicycle and walking trail. The trail is easy with no uphills or downhills and any person can use it with no strenuous activity. The Burbank side is very nice and clean but once we finished and entered into North Hollywood metro bus area it was scumville with homeless dirty mess and addicts shooting up. read more

Few intersections where you need to stop and wait until the light stops the cars. I definitely recommend if you are looking to exercise around 5 miles (back and forth total). read more

I have gone here several times within the past 10 years. I don't always stick to my exercise routine but this is a place I prefer to walk. I came back here yesterday night around 2030 - 2130 on 23rd of April 2022 and it was a very clean environment with maybe 6 to 13 people present. I saw maybe 3 or 4 people riding their bikes but slowly enough while they passed me by on the other side of the path. read more

I live about a ten minute walk to the bike path. I am so glad to be so close to such an amazing feature of Burbank! It's very well maintained, no major bumps like the LA River bike path. Close to the NoHo border, there's a cute little pollinator garden that lines the path. I've run, walked, and biked the path before - you can't go wrong! The nice part with walking and running is you get built in breathers with the stoplight crosswalks. I've walked my dogs on the bike path and it's always nice to run into other pup owners. I wish the path extended further directly into downtown Burbank, but the nice thing is the west end of the path transitions to North Hollywood and then feeds into the orange line bike path. read more

Chandler Bike Path, sing this song Doo-da, doo-da Chandler Bike Path, three miles long All the doo-da day. Well, they haven't written a song (yet) about Burbank's Chandler Bike Path, but they should. We Burbankers don't like to brag, but this run/bike/skate/jog/dog path is a hit. Originally railroad tracks, the concrete path starts on Burbank's west side, just west of Victory, and goes all the way to North Hollywood. It's a very well-maintained path with directional "lanes" to keep the troublemakers out of your way. Unless you're the troublemaker. Super dog-friendly with doggie bags and trash cans along the route. It's a great way to check out Burbank's original teeny-tiny homes, which dot the route on Chandler Boulevard, that are so cool you want to pick one up and put in your pocket. Flat as a pancake, this path is a crowd-pleaser. Interesting art along the way. Unlimited free parking everywhere. All done? One block south at Hollywood Way is Porto's, to erase all the benefits of your Burbank hike. read more

Old railroad track converted to a two lane bike path which stretches from Mariposa all the way to Vineland in North Hollywood. Highly recommended not just for biking but also for walking, jogging, skating, dog walking, or merely sitting on benches. This path is clean, well maintained and nicely landscaped with ornamental plants and trees. Doggie bags and trash bins are provided along the way. Traffic lights for pedestrians using the path are installed along busy intersections of Buena Vista and Hollywood Way. In all other intersections, a four way stop is strategically placed for the safety of the pedestrians. I wish the city could add more lights along the path to keep it more illuminated. How about some solar lights along the paths? May we also ask for drinking fountains on major intersections? Also, it would be nice to extend the path all the way to Victory Place because that remaining portion is simply an eyesore now. read more

Nice path for running. If you ride bikes more than 20km/p then this path is not for you.

This was amazing! As I recall, it is about 4 miles if you run end-to-end. It is conveniently located if you live in the neighbor or staying in a nearby hotel/motel (I was at the Travelodge). I ran on the path twice and it was awesome No matter what time of day - well, during daylight hours - there were other runners, walkers, bicyclists, dog walkers, etc, out enjoying the space. The trees, shrubs, and flowers along the path were well manicured. It was a really great experience for a tourist like me. I wish more public paths like this existed in other cities! read more

Great place to walk, bike, or run. Not a lot of shade however, so go in the morning or early evening if you can!

It's difficult to bike with young kids around town because of cars and hills so once we picked up our new car bike rack and did some research, one of the first places we stopped by was the chandler bike path. The path itself is super flat, straight, clean, and organized. There are nice statues along the way and folks there are friendly and respectful. Our secret tip is to park close to the donut hut, which is a block south towards the eastern end of the bike path. Thus, after you finish a nice bike ride you can reward the kiddos and yourself! read more

Chandler Bike Path is a great space for a short run in the middle of Burbank and into NoHo. My brother and I hit the path up for a short 5 mile run this morning as I was looking for a change of scenery and didn't need to go too far. Friendly folks running, jogging, roller skating, roller blading, walking and cycling. It's a 3 lane path (2 for bikes, 1 for walking). There are several trees which provide shaded areas here and there. They were cutting the grass today, so I felt like I had just ordered my wheat grass shot most of the run but the grounds are very well kept with grassy sides, trees and I could have sworn jasmine was planted in several areas so it smelled good too. You will come to a couple lights which are always a pain in the ass but to be expected when running roads vs trails. If I lived in the area, I'd certainly take to this path for morning/evening walks or runs. read more

We needed a good, flat paved path for our kids to ride their bikes and this was perfect! We went on a Saturday and thought it was going to be busy (especially since it was a nice December day). But, it wasn't too busy. We started on Buena Vista and travelled westward. The lines for walkers, which direction bikes are supposed to be going is a little confusing. But since it wasn't too busy, people were just being polite and tryingn to stay out of each other's ways. It was very nice and the kids loved it! I'd definitely recommend it for families. read more

Burbank turned the old railroad tracks into a beautiful walk/bike path. Two separate lanes of traffic, although not always used correctly, it's a nice place to feel safe and take a relaxing stroll down the center of Burbank with yourself, friend, family, children, and pets. Pro's - -doggie bags& trash cans provided along the walk. (please clean up after your pets) -well lit for walks at any hour -separate bike lanes and walk lanes -slowly becoming more shaded as the yes along the path mature. -friendly people -ample parking along Chandler and side streets (be mindful of street sweep days, they ticket) -nice statues situated down the path Con's -to many people at times for serious runners/bikers looking to get around quickly. -no drinking fountains or restrooms (bring your own water bottle and go before you go) -opposing car traffic at intersections. Be careful, it's not that well planned our for drivers. Would be nice if they had designated "potty zones" for pets, so that you might be able to sit on the grass and enjoy a small picnic without feeling you're sitting on a toilet. And I wish they would have made the path wider! But overall Chandler bike path is a great asset to the city of Burbank. read more

The chandler bike path is a true gem of Burbank and North Hollywood. It is very well maintained, nice smooth clean dual lane bike path, plus a generous lane for walkers, joggers and leashed pets. They also have pet clean up stations with poop bags. I often take the poodles there, and they love it. The path has nice landscaping, plenty of trees to find a shady spot, and benches to rest every so often. The path has very nice views of the San Fernando Valley foothills, and The homes along Chandler are generally nice. I highly recommend this path, I've always found nice people there who are considerate also. Family friendly too! read more

I'm a huge fan of bike paths anywhere because they promote healthy living and a safe place for people to ride bikes and walk. The path is roughly 3.5 miles goes from Burbank to north Hollywood with few lights in between that aren't too disruptive the change rather quickly so you won't be waiting long. Not much shade which is the only bummmer. read more

I had a fun ride from N. Hollywood to Burbank and back. The path is nicely designed and decorated. The only downside is that you have to stop for a couple of street lights and the lack of bathrooms and water fountains. The cities of Burbank and L.A did a nice job creating the path for bicyclists and walkers alike. I just wish people would not stand in the middle of the path with their dogs and start having deep philosophical conversations with their friends. So happy to have found another outdoor activity option space in the central LA area. Have only gone up and back on the path once, on roller skates. I'm a medium beginner on skates -- the second portion of the path is smoother than the first for skating. It's a paved path but there are larger grooves between each cement square of sidewalk. Also, it's a bit tough to stop at the 4 or so points where the path intersects with vehicle cross traffic. However 4/4 will skate again-- I need the practice! read more

I love this walk/dog/bike path.. It's a few blocks walking distance from my residence and no matter what time of day there is always someone there.. It's family friendly, pet friend ( they have poopie doggy trash cans) and biker friendly. The main reason for the complaints about there not being enough elbow room is because the path is unnecessarily very narrow. There is plenty of room to widen the path in many places. I don't understand why the city planners would go to all that trouble of pouring a ton of concrete without really thinking it through first. The walking path should be at least double -- at least -- what it is now, wherever space permits, and preferably made of dirt, or at least part of it made of dirt, for shock absorption. For those who don't mind the effects that concrete inflicts upon your skeleton, walk on the concrete, cyborgs! Another big plus is a delightful lack of spider webs that you get to enjoy in your face when walking on regular residential sidewalks at night. The bike path also needs widening and should obviously continue to still just be made of concrete. Oh, and abundant 'No Smoking' signs are always sincerely appreciated. read more

The Chandler Bike Path it sooo awesome. It's a great place to go for a walk, board, bike, or take your pets to. As a cyclist, it can be a little annoying with pedestrians in the way, depending on the time you go. Sometimes I bike up here from Glendale to do a lap or two on it. The lights separating the path are very few, maybe two or three across the three miles of bike path? Chandler Boulevard looks so much better having this bike path on it, rather than the old, rusty train tracks that were there some years ago. Way to go Burbank! read more
