I have recently both rented a U Haul from Simply Storage on Plank Road (Route 3) of Fredericksburg,…read moreVirginia, and rented storage space, a 7.5 x 10 space. Please consider this a rave review. The service was warm, welcoming, kind, loving and generous, no matter who was helping me. They made it practically effortless to rent the U Haul truck (which I used in town) and the special fee for the storage unit was a very good deal. I kept primarily light-weight furniture in my unit (climate controlled) until I could pick up the furniture and transfer it to my new home a few hours away. Wonderful experience all around. Regarding the storage unit, for the unit I rented, the main door that goes to the outside (not the storage unit door) had to be opened manually (doorstop was available) and there was a stationary metal box on the ground to maneuver around while wheeling in the items for storage. That wasn't as comfortable as other storage units I have rented from, but, for me, the integrity and consistency and fairness of the staff more than made up for extra maneuvering. If you have wide or heavy items/furniture, I would suggest taking a look at the path to your unit and making sure it's adequate for your needs before deciding on a unit. Again, I can't say enough good about this company and desk staff, as well as the gentleman who takes care of the facilities. Thank you, Simply Storage. You really lightened my load through a process that needed ample TLC (tender loving care).

Storage for my RV…read more Self Storage Plus seemed to be a reasonable place to store my RV when we are home. The price was $59/month, on a gated lot. Not undercover, but that was OK - the place was clean and secure. We took a month-to-month lease and paid by credit card. So today I get a notice that my monthly rate will increase to $111/month! Ouch! Almost a 100% increase - and for what? I called and attempted to talk with one of their desk clerks. She barely spoke english, had a whole lot of background noise, merely repeated (badly) the notice I got in the mail. No clue about "Why?"

Set up for a unit was quick and efficient, Kayla and Dina both providing great customer service and good human contact. It was the best "Post COVID" experience my Sis and I could have.
