Super hot so it took a bit to cool, but then a strong roast. While the laws of thermodynamics were underway, I was able to watch the flow of customers, observe the "Javabot" that sadly no one used this morning and watch the Detroit traffic circling around Campus Martius. Other than I was not able to get their wifi to work (Detroit has a free wifi as well), it was a good resting spot with quiet background music and it never did get any other sit down customers while I dawdled. The staff and owner were so welcoming upon entering. Pricing is listed on a board that is visible for all. They offer bagged coffee that is sourced with a great story (check the website). You can also find books, tools of the trade, and books. I visited during a cake walk that had local bakers in Sepia Coffee selling cake. The space gives family vibes and the taste is so amazing. Like the best espresso I've had in a decade! It packs a powerful flavor that stands out in a hot or iced latte, both of which I've had. I have not ventured into a straight espresso shot or cortado as of yet. It's worth a visit or purchase some online for shipping.
