This spot has the vibe of a beloved neighborhood joint that's been around for a long time. They…read morespecialize in mariscos or seafood. From the menu it looks like the prices are very reasonable here. I feel like that term hidden gem gets thrown out a lot, and it is very subjective, but even when I knew where I was going, I almost missed the spot. This place truly feels like a hidden gem. My experience in particular was coming in to get a taco to go. Full disclosure I just had another meal at a spot close by, but I really wanted to hit this place up since I don't get to this area often. When I came in, I was greeted and helped by the one of the friendliest servers you have ever met. I felt a little bad because these are one of the spots that I would love to have a sit down meal at some point, but I really wanna try a specific time that they had - the marlin taco. This taco comes with cheese and an avocado on top along with some salsa. I have to say this taco is such a wonderful bite. I'm hoping to come back soon and hungry so I can totally have the full sit down experience at this place. These places need to be treasured and supported!

Plus the chili oil on the table is a slapper !! The chips and salsa are good aswell .. this place everything I've tried is good . Their white rice is fire also . Highly recommended. The only thing I don't like is they don't give you extra salsa or chips but can't complain . Even the sea food is good . The shrimp empanadas .

The…read moreasada stood out because the beef is very tender and holds its flavor well even if you're eating it later. The al pastor has a nice kick that adds a good level of heat without being overwhelming. Both tacos are solid, but the asada is the winner here. That dark green sauce is the best part of the experience. It's spicy in the best way possible and elevates the flavor of the meat. Even after reheating the food, everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. It's the kind of place that makes you want to return to explore the rest of the menu. Next time, I definitely want to try the mulitas or a quesadilla. They're likely just as flavorful as the tacos given the quality of the meat and the sauces. It's a reliable spot that's hard to beat when you want something simple and tasty.

I will say the tortillas and the guacamole to give me Frontera vibes. I did suggest to the cashier they get more ventilation inside or maybe comfort that window to an opening window. As people ordered, it was a suffocating moment. I felt really bad for her even the cashier her eyes were bloodshot, red, and very watery from the smoke. There is bar seating inside, but nobody could tolerate it. Pretty much just order inside and head out. The food is delicious and the drinks as well. Cypress Park needed a spot like this conveniently located in the corner of Pepper and Cypress Avenue. Check out my receipt for pricing reference.
