This salon is EPIC FANTASTIC! I'm visiting with a friend,…read morechecked out local salons on Yelp! and this came with the highest recommendation... rightly so too. Joann, one of the owners is beautiful, professional, delightful and friendly. Make sure you accept the HERBAL treatment when asked, being new I didn't even ask but wish I had because for only $10 more you can receive an extra five product treatment of a diverse choice of fragrances serving different ailments. My pedi was only $35 but I would have definitely spent $45 for the extra herbal treatment. Their massage chairs are also different from any others I've ever seen and employ the use of airbag technology for an all over massage to include the hands and arms... so don't come to spend time on your cell phone and allow the chair and Joann and her staff to pamper you.

For nails and pedicures this is a great place. A little pricey but the cleanliness and comfortable…read moreatmosphere of the salon, as well as the expertise of the technicians, is worth it. Ask for Joanne as your nail tech. HOWEVER!! Do NOT - I repeat, DO NOT go here for a haircut!! Kim, the stylist - and I cannot emphasize enough how ill-fitting the term is for her - butchered my hair. Prior to sitting in her chair I had hair down to the middle of my back. It is thick and wavy. I told her I wanted a blunt cut across the back, long layers in the front, and blended on the sides. Kim proceeded to show me 2 inches of length to trim and I agreed. She started in the back so I didn't see what she was doing but something didn't feel or sound right. When I looked down and saw 4 inches of my hair on the floor I said, "What are you doing?! What are you using?" She stepped around to talk to me and she had a razor in her hand! She was cutting my hair with a freaking razor! You do NOT use a razor for a blunt cut! Any first-week salon student knows that! I tried to tell her again what I wanted but she wouldn't let me talk. She kept saying in broken English, "Yeah, I know. I know." She switched to scissors, completely ignoring my instructions. I told her I was VERY unhappy and wanted to leave. She said, "But I make your hair soft!" The rest of the conversation - and I use that term as loosely as Webster will allow - was just as ridiculous. My hair upon leaving the salon was shoulder length, choppy, uneven, and looked like something you would discover on Barbie after a 4 year old with scissors decided to experiment with her hairstyle. I went straight home and fixed the damage myself (I've cut family members' hair for years). The salon owner was very professional and immediately refunded the cost of my haircut when I showed her my hair and told her how unhappy I was. Bottom line: I can definitely recommend them for nails and pedicures, but for a haircut you'd be better off putting your locks in a dull blender!

Then he was rough cutting my cuticles. I told him he hurt me more than once and to stop. My middle finger was red and bleeding by the time I left. Then the polish itself was bad. I asked for a darker color but he would only add one layer at the end. He also started too close to the cuticle and it looked worse as time went on. I doubt I ever come back here. Definitely won't see him again. My nails didn't even look like I got them professionally done. Got them fixed somewhere I trusted.

Second time at this establishment was a total disappointment. Let me start by saying, I'm happy…read morethey invested in their decor. The salon looks a lot more welcoming and bright with the new wall art, faux plants, etc. It was also pretty clean which was also a plus. However, the service was subpar. My mom and I walked in shortly after opening (shop opens at 9AM and we walked through the doors at 9:07AM) on a Saturday morning. There were five technicians on the floor and it appeared that all of them were servicing clients. Though they appeared busy, one tech made sure to greet us and ask what service we needed as I signed in. We weren't told how long of a wait it would be and since the other customers didn't sign in (which usually has a space for you to list the service/s you are interested in), I couldn't come up with my own estimate. After approximately 20 minutes, a tech came to get my mom for her manicure. Again, no one addressed me to give me an estimate on how much longer my wait would be. Another customer walked in, signed in, and though she was greeted, she too had to sit and weight with no idea how long it would be before she was serviced. Around the half hour mark, two patrons left, but I continued to wait. After waiting around 35 minutes, I walked over to my mom and let her know that I would be leaving soon and on my way back to my seat I saw a large insect (reminded me a lot of some type of cockroach) scurrying across the floor. One of the techs, who was doing a pedicure at the time, looked around, threw a towel on it, stomped it, and then pushed the towel against the bottom of the foot basin. I was floored... absolutely floored. That may explain why I didn't leave until I had waited to be serviced for nearly 45 minutes. Once I announced my exit, the tech who was servicing my mom said something like "Oh you're leaving? I'm sorry. I can get someone help you right now, just wait." I responded respectfully letting her know that I had already waited long enough and had other things I needed to do. After my mom completed her service, I asked how her experience was she said it was okay, but she never feels like the services provided match the price paid. When asked why she continues to come to the establishment, she said "Well it's closer to the office than the other place we go to. I don't know. They do okay most of the time." I don't know about you, but that doesn't seem like a satisfied, loyal customer to me. I hope they can do better in the future. For now, I'll stick with Wonder Nails.
