I go to cosmetology school, at Chris' in gulfport, I had a greenie on one of my nails, and went to…read moreget the rest of my set removed. Off the bat she (the owner) didn't seem like she wanted to do the removal, not sure if it was because of the greenie or not. She pulled out a used drill bit and put it in her station and switched bits. After the second round in acetone she filed and cut my nails down. My right hand was fine bc the nails were short, but she cut 2 of my natural nails down which was not asked and I explained when i sat down which ones were long. After I called her out, she got loud and aggressive. She was yelling with other customers in the building, calling me crazy, and saying "I don't like you people who come in wanting a removal when you do your own nails, you think your better than (me) and think you know everything" and she kept repeating "I DID NOT CUT YOUR NAIL I CUT THR POWDER!" mind you I do Gel-X so nothing is powder. Even after i showed her the nail she cut off she still refused to accept and kept yelling, after i got up to leave, She used the same drill bit she used on my nails, on a client that sat down before she got rude and aggressive. I totally do not recommend this place, not only as the owner is unprofessional but also because they are very unclean.

My family and I recently moved here and I have been searching for a really nice nail salon since…read morethen. I saw a post about a new shop opening in Gulfport and decided to give them a try today. I will forever be going back to Rose (pronounced Rosy). She did absolutely amazing on my nail set. She, without hesitation on any slight personal corrections, gave me exactly what I asked for. I tried something simple since it was my first time here and I'm a pretty simple person when it comes to nails. I had a great first experience and impression. I normally don't bring my 1year old to nail shops with me because she can get a little antsy at times and I know it's a place for relaxation. But I unfortunately had no choice this time and thankfully nobody else was there. Rose has beautiful children that ended up distracting and playing with my daughter and I couldn't thank them enough. Rose and her family are very welcoming when walking into their shop. If I'm not mistaken, it's just her and her husband that work in the shop right now but it's a very clean place, she told me she cleans the place very often and I even walked in on her cleaning haha. They give complimentary beverages, such as waters and sodas, and have a trendy music playlist. If you're looking for somewhere nice in a tucked back quiet area to get nails or waxing done, go to Ruby Nails at 1401 Pass Rd, Gulfport!
