Happy Nails - MY TOES ARE SO CUTE THANK YOU - Nail Salons Near Me - Gulfport, Mississippi

I took my daughter here to get her nails done for her birthday and I decided to get mine done as well. (I usually do my own.) When entering the salon, all the workers greeted us. My daughter was seated immediately. One reason I am giving this 2 stars is since my daughter's nails were pretty when finished. Mine, on the other hand, were not. I believe the owner worked on me. She seemed annoyed at me once I sat in her chair. She made an "ewww" sound when seeing my nails. (I am a nail biter.) Not to mention she was cursing in a place of business. She also was distracted with other customers most of the time she worked on me. I asked for stiletto nails and halfway through she said square nails would look better on my hands and they would probably fall off quicker than square nails. When she finished my nails, they were crooked and not the same shape throughout. She didn't shape my cuticles, and when she painted them, the sides were still white and sloppy. At certain angles, my nails appeared to be standing up. I guess I am naive because I have never left a salon disappointed in my nails. EVER! I thought it was in my head but even my husband noticed. He called and complained later. They said they would fix it. (Which is why it took me so long to write this review.) I decided not to let them fix it. (I didn't want to waste more time when I could do them myself more quickly. It is not worth the hassle especially since this salon has a strong chemical smell.) Not to mention, it should have been done right the first time. The fact they offered to fix it is another reason I gave 2 stars. Also, the nails started popping off after 6 days. Usually acrylic lasts 2 weeks. I was so disappointed. I had been looking forward to this trip for weeks. read more

We called before going and was told to come on. Upon entry she notice I had nails on already and instantly got an attitude. she sat me down and proceeded to pop them off. When she finish I showed her picture on my phone and ask if she could do this, she instantly told me no so I told her not to worry I get my nails done another time but We would still like to get two pedicures . she sat us in chairs and started his feet. Halfway through His pedicure I mentioned to her about running some water so I could soak my feet while she did his. The pedicures were good, and by this point her attitude had seem to go away and she began chatting with us. I really wanted my nails done, so I searched for a simpler design and show her a picture and asked if she could do this one she say yes I can do that. so she finished my pedicure then moved us back to the nail table. She began on my nails and chatted and joked with us the entire time. It wasn't like the picture I showed her but she did take her time and I believe did the best she could. While in Conversation she mentioned that no one ever comes in wanting something different like I'd ask for. She ended up being nice, but I feel like she over charged us for 2 basic pedicures and a full set we paid 140 read more

The people are friendly and they are amazing when it comes to nails! I love getting a pedicure there and my nails always come out flawless with incredibly smooth feet. However I would not go there for an eyebrow wax. I've went there two times now for an eyebrow wax and both times I have left with one eyebrow EXTREMELY higher than the other. They ended up taking the tail end off of my eyebrows. read more

very good place, I was in Gulfport for 3 weeks so had to get my nails done. (I have gel so needs to be maintained). I happened to be in this shopping center one night so took note of the number and called the next day. They are very friendly and efficient. I called about an hour ahead to ask them if they had time for me at 4 and arrived just after 4...had to wait a short while as they were pretty busy, but that was no big deal. They did a good job and the place was nice and clean. The only negative would be that it could use better ventilation (somewhat strong smell of nail products.) Would definitely go there next time I'm in town! read more

Ambience-wise, this is your typical strip mall nail salon. However, they do great pedicures, and Daniel does the best acrylic nails in the area. I went to him for years for my nails and was never disappointed. In fact, I was sad to leave the area, and haven't found a good replacement nail place yet. You can almost always get in as a walk-in with very little wait time, and most everyone there is quite good. Also, if you're a regular, you have the option of buying your own files for use on your nails - very nice. read more

Here on vacation and went to this place. The lady that did my nails was very friendly and she did a great job on my hands and feet.

While visiting the area went into Happy Nails for a pedi. The technician was very attentative and did a great job. I will visit them again

the woman who works in this salon is by far one of the rudest nail techs i've ever encountered. as soon as me and my friends walked in she was very rude. she raised her voice at us multiple times when we asked simple questions about things and when we tried to start a friendly conversation or two with her she would ignore us. not to mention our nails didn't come out very good. the male nail tech was kind though. if it wasn't for him lightening the mood we probably wouldn't have been happy at all leaving. there was also an elderly woman who was in there while we were waiting and she was getting her toes done. she was very sweet and talkative and the female nail tech continuously ignored her and then rushed her out saying she needed to leave faster than she was moving. it was sad. read more

I chose this place after a recommendation from a friend. I was greeted when I walked in which is polite. I was seated immediately upon choosing my color and then Daniel got to work. Upon asking, he told me he has been doing nails for 20 years, so I felt confident he would do a great job. He shaped my nails differently than I'm used to which is fine but the polish job was incredibly rushed. He got acrylic on my cuticles and while filing he pressed so hard on the skin he separated it from the nail making it sore today. I have no doubt he is a good technician but he was rushing big time. This is one of the few things I do to relax and I left tense and bummed. I was also charged extra for some very minor lifting that he had to clip off on a couple nails. I took that directly from his tip. read more

This is the WORST place I have been to have my nails and toes done. The owner did mine and she goes way to fast and DOSENT care of she hurts you or not,and my toes look like my child did them.I mean it was a VERY HORRIBLE job that she done.I will NEVER EVER go back! read more

Worst nail salon I've been to. Asked for a simple design on my nails for my birthday which they said couldn't be done. I agreed to a simple one color gel full set with a line on one of my nails. I wanted them a certain length and the lady said she can only cut them down to a certain length which was longer than I have had any other full set done. I was irritated but obliged. after all of the polish was put on and I put my nails under uv the lady said I could go but my nails weren't dry. she then said she forgot to wipe them with acetone. she then had me pay and I left. I'll be getting them fixed elsewhere tomorrow. read more

Giving this place a one star rating is being too nice. This place is horrible and the techs are very rude. And yes, I've been letting everyone know my experience. read more
