But I threw out my back & I've had it with the steroid injections & bs. So I spoiled myself. They just reopened on Willoughby in Bushwick and oh my lanta!!!! It's a much more intimate space than they had 10 years ago, when you go for the community option I think there's only three beds now. Not only does the bed heat up, but the wonderful Dr Patchi put a heating lamp on my back for my cramps. LUXURY I swear this was a spa like experience! Patchi is super warm & chill, and SO intuitive with her hands. She also used a tens unit which I completely love. She is so so so skilled, and that excellent skill is overshadowed in the best way by her warmth. When we were done I slowly sat up and stretched my back a bit, and felt pops where I've been really needing to feel pops! She also did some needling for an ankle I broke last year that I'm still healing, and I'm really impressed by how much that worked. Of course it isn't magic, I still have cramps and my back is still rough, but both are much much much more manageable after just one session. I was tipped off to a pay what you can day coming up soon, and I really really really appreciated that (& immediately booked a spot). Being broke sucks, this economy sucks, looking for a job sucks, and it sucks even more when you feel like you're being judged for not having much money (esp since Bushwick is turning snooty). That tip was such a compassionate move, and it's so kind that they're having to pay what you can day!!!

She then placed needles in my feet, legs, arms, face, and head... each time applying a little pressure before placing the needles. She checked in regularly to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain. I got a shoulder pain from carrying a heavy travel bag. A friend referred me there. It's pricey, but the pain isn't going away, so I bite the bullet for it. You have to make an initial consultation appointment before any visits. I did it online it was easy. I got the appointment, and I showed up. Seung was my initial therapist. He is careful, attentive, respectful, and has an excellent bedside manner. We did the consultation. He gave me the suggestion and asked when I wanted to start. Well, immediately because my shoulder is hurting. He did acupuncture, cupping during the first session, and some massage on my shoulder. My first visit was 2hr long. Time wasn't an issue, but some places want you out asap. This was not the case. The cupping really showed where my shoulder needed some TLC. I had pepperoni marks on the exact spots for days. I went back a week later and did the same thing. My treatment plan was a five-session course. I do see meaningful progress after each. And I got to take naps as I was getting the needles and cupping. I also had the pleasure of having two sessions with Bo. One spot needed some fine-tuning. She really did some magic on me. The pain in that spot went away immediately after she placed the needles. We were testing the before-and-after effect. I literally asked, "Am I imagining things, or did the pain go away?" She gave me a lovely smile without saying how proud she was that she got the right pressure point! I am still in awe of what happened. If you are hesitating about acupuncture, please don't.
