This was my first time ever doing acupuncture and Harris made me feel so comfortable! The experience was amazing and the storefront is beautiful! I was getting treated for TMJ and luckily Harris has a certification in this specifically. Wow! The treatment was incredible. I was skeptical but willing to try anything for the TMJ pain I was feeling. Immediately after the session I felt better and hours later I'm doing great too! Remember to hydrate after your session! I got a deal for a $85 session but it's usually $110. I won't be able to come back super frequently but when I save up I'll come right back! Awesome service with great people. Do not come here ! My face has completely bruised and I have blood marks from the needle insertion. I was told it was normal, but it is not. Having a bruised painful face is NOT normal and don't let anyone let you believe it is. The acupuncturist hit blood vessels and this is something that shouldn't have happened. She also didn't inform me that there was a risk of this level of bruising on my face. If I had known the severity, I would have not consented. So this was done without consent. I will now have to go to the urgent care, especially as I have a loss of smell. I told them this and they haven't shown any care at all. No refund , no additional remedies or payment for my urgent care/ER costs. Avoid this place at all costs!! read more

I actually wanted to go to the NoMad location after reading reviews for both, but it was Fennie I wanted to book with (after reading every single healer's profile) and the best appointment for my schedule with her was in Flatiron. I'm so glad I conceded on convenience and traveled the few extra train stops because Fennie is really THAT GIRL!!! She was so pleasant, so attentive and I felt so comfortable the entire time. I could tell she was hearing ME and was dedicated to addressing what I was expressing I felt my body needed, and that's really not common in Western Medicine so, this was really refreshing. She provided a treatment plan/schedule to regulate my specific concerns and I left feeling truly revived in a lot of ways. Cycle cramps, anxiety, mood and digestion are already showing improvement progress and I actually got the lil post-acu "high" feeling (that I was highly doubting was anything but a myth). Fennie is the best addition to my elevated mind-body connection tool kit and my second session was scheduled before I left the building. The heated beds are so good!! The meditation options are really the icing on the cake. And while I have seen the lower reviews about the front desk/reception staff complaints, I was lucky enough to have the GM (I think her name was Chrissie, but I'm so sorry if that's wrong because she was perfect) welcome me and show me around, discuss the products and offerings, etc., and it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. We visited today for our first appointment. I had never done acupuncture so I was nervous on how everything was going to go. From the start it was a warm experience. They broke down the amenities available and guided us to the space to rest while we waited for our practitioner. When in our respective space, the practitioner held a consultation to understand what my purpose was for the visit. The experience was very new, and the sensation of the needles was new. I had multiple placed as I lied facing up, from my feet, knees, belly button, neck, hands and scalp. For the purpose of relaxation, acupuncture is a practice I will have to get accustomed to do routinely. In our hour appointment, through the guided meditation on the headphones, it felt I was almost transported to a new space of calm. I look forward to returning. When checking out, they do push to support you to book your next appointment. I chose to wait to see how I felt the days after the treatment. I've been looking for a more affordable acupuncture spot for so long.. and then WTHN opened. It follows the trendy vibe that has been popping up everything. Clean lines, fresh plants, organic products, etc. The staff are knowledge about the products and its signature herb blends are some of the best available in the market. (I especially love the "Can't Touch This" and "Run The World".) Notably, the treatments are quicker than some acupuncture studios but the staff typically know what they're doing well enough to hit all the points you need in a session. I went to WTHN in Flat Iron recently for a treatment before a 12 hour travel day. The space was beautiful and calm upon arrival. I was greeted by a kind front desk concierge who walked me through the space and what to expect. My treatment was with Kirstin B. who was incredible. Wthn has exceptional healers, Alison is my favourite thus far and has been amazing at targeting my issues. She listens to me and truly cares, which is something you see from all acupuncturists. Sadly, when it comes to their policies, I agree with other people sentiments, they are out of touch with todays world. If a healer takes longer with previous patient, that time is deducted from your session despite being there on time. In addition, there's only a 5 min grace period and even if you show by iPhone time is showing accurately, they are 1 min ahead (unsure if this is on purpose). What saddens me the most, is despite a patient stating they have covid and care enough not to want to get anyone sick, they still infringe on the $50 fee and a person is unable to accumulate the session if unable to make it in for that month due to being ill. read more

Of course you can forfeit a session (which is the most obvious course of action to avoid paying a fee) but the rude receptionists won't offer this option until you inform them you are canceling your membership. I really wanted to make WTHN work and I have had two healers here that I absolutely loved. The reason I'm not happy is the staff is extremely rude and cold and for a healing center, this is not acceptable. It smells of capitalism left and right. I have come here to heal my chronic back pain and it seems that every time I have an interaction with someone who works here besides my healer, I am met with cold complacency. I was even told on the phone "well you have several no-shows" in such an accusatory tone that I did not appreciate. Have I had to reschedule appointments? Yes of course because life and sickness happen and one would think this type of business would be the most understanding as we are still living in a pandemic. It is disgusting the lack of sympathy this so called "healing center" offers. I have also never gotten a response from a previous email complaining about the coldness of staff. Therefore, I will never come back and you best believe I am telling everyone around me the terrible service I have received. It's really a shame how off putting the manager and front staff is. I've been going here for a few months seeing Fennie, weekly to biweekly - she gets a 5/5 all around fantastic. She's lovely and has helped my sleep, digestion and period pain so much. I highly recommend her if you do go to wthn. I was so upset that I had to end up canceling my membership after an off-putting interaction with the General Manager. I really wrestled with canceling bc I love Fennie so much, but I couldn't allow myself to throw $155 a month at a studio that has a manager that's condescending and uncomfortably rude. I saw promos on Instagram for WTHN after searching for acupuncture and not really finding anywhere I was happy with, so decided to try it. WTHN is definitely my NYC sanctuary. It is a beautiful space, and the cost is so affordable compared to the $100s I was seeing at other places. There are so many great, thoughtful touches that really make this a great experience. The sound therapy during the session, the heated beds, the spaces themselves. I love the reception area that helps you decompress and leave the stress of your day there before you go in for your session. From start to finish, I highly recommend WTHN and have recommended it to everyone. The reviews here about the cubicles seem to be a bit fussy. It's Flatiron, AND NYC, you're not talking about vast averages of space. It's very comfortable and the most sensible way to provide service for a 45min session. You're not in here for more than an hour and there is plenty of privacy. I've been late: you call ahead, you're accommodated when they can give you the time, it's not rocket science. When you're late for appointments, you're inconveniencing someone else no matter your good intentions. The MTA sucks, we get it. I've never had an issue getting my appointment rescheduled...and no one has ever been rude to me. Andie is the best, I look forward to seeing her every time.
