I first came to Spine & Sports in 2010, for an old ankle injury causing me a lot of pain. I saw Dr…read more Kessler and immediately started seeing Ross 2-3x/week for PT. After 3 months, tapering over time, I was pain free, and remain pain free now. Ross is thorough but doesn't rush healing. I have since seen Ross several times for varying injuries (different ankle injury, knee pain, wrist injury, etc). I also began seeing Dr. JC for regular chiropractic adjustments for serious migraines and other back pain. Within a few months, my migraines were significantly reduced and I enjoyed the other benefits of regular chiropractic adjustments: I was getting sick less and less and having far fewer sinus issues. I couldn't possibly recommend Dr. JC more. During a period when my insurance coverage was poor, he worked with me so I could maintain consistency. When you get adjusted regularly, you can benefit from maintenance adjustments that are far less frequent. I am currently seeing Dr. JC for my normal maintenance adjustments but also seeing Ross/Andrew for an Achilles strain. I have an autoimmune disease which causes joint pain and I feel like everything is taken care of here. Their billing staff (which is not in the same office) leave a lot to be desired, but the level of care you get from the actual medical professionals treating you, is top notch. You need to do your research on your insurance coverage. They only accept out-of-network benefits but (the front desk staff) are happy to work with you on reimbursement, etc.

The chiropractic and PT services combined are SO good for healing and the exercises they gave me for "homework" are just right for working into a busy schedule. He was actually leaving for the day and answered the phone himself and stayed late to help me as I explained my injury I sustained that morning and how much pain I was in. He's not your typical preachy Chiropractor, but someone who understands a myriad of different treatments and just does what is right. Highly recommended from someone who has received Chiropractic treatment his whole life.

I went to see Dr. Srino Bharam after having a bad experience working with another hip specialist…read more Due to this I was really wary of seeing another doctor but Dr. Bharam worked incredibly hard to make sure I felt seen and understood as a patient. He was very attentive and made sure I understood everything he was describing regarding my hip injury, taking extra time to explain to me and my parents over the phone. Dr. Bharam told me all my options but recommended that I have surgery as soon as I could in order to fix my torn labrum and hip impingement. This was a non-invasive procedure and I felt that I was in good hands. Him and all the staff, both in his office and the operating room, made me feel comfortable and much less nervous. I really appreciate the level of care Dr. Bharam took with my injury and he recommended me to a physical therapist he often works with, who took all of the details Dr. Bharam gave him to create an amazing recovery plan for me. I am thankful to both Dr. Bharam and Kevin Kay for helping me get better in time to play my very last season of Division III volleyball. I would recommend Dr. Bharam to other athletes dealing with hip injuries as I had a very good experience. He is definitely a doctor who will take the time to answer all of your questions.

I didn't know much about CranioSacral therapy, but I was encouraged to try it by a friend and fellow Yogi. Thank you so much, I look forward to making CranioSacral a regular part of my wellness regimen. You can find out for yourself at www.debturczan.com. Jim has yelped yo!

By 30 years old I felt like I had tried just about everything- acupuncture, Chinese herbalists, naturopaths, neurologists, MRI's, CAT scans, yoga, meditation, and after all this I was beginning to lose hope for myself. My body was truly malfunctioning and I couldn't carry anything without triggering muscle spasms followed by a migraine. For the most part I adjusted my life around my limitations, but when I had a baby it became too heartbreaking for me not to be able to carry her without experiencing pain. Three months postpartum I found Debbie through a series of serendipitous phone calls. In the days before my appointment I was both hopeful and depressed. I so much wanted to find the solution to my pain, but if Debbie couldn't help me I felt resigned to accept myself as someone who was going to live with chronic pain and extreme limitations. As I walked to my first appointment I was experiencing head and neck pain just from carrying my nearly empty purse, and that was typical. As it turned out an old break of my tailbone was largely to blame. Debbie specializes in tailbone injuries and she was able to adjust it as well as perform CranioSacral therapy. I've only seen her three times to date, but I have been able to carry my daughter more than ever before and I have only Debbie to thank for it. I haven't had a headache or migraine since my first appointment and I am more hopeful about the state of my health than I have been in 10 years. Beyond all of that Debbie is a truly likable person, and I so enjoy seeing her for each of my visits. I immediately had the reassuring sense that she wanted nothing more than to see me get better, and she would be straight up with me if she were not able to help me get there. I think she is just as excited as I am every time I come in with good news about my migraine free days and my increased ability to function normally.

After months of suffering and trying pain medicines, muscle relaxants, and patches, my doctor recommended I seek chiropractic support. I could not be more glad I found Dr. Shelley and her practice. When I first started going to her, my back was a complete wreck and I was near tears in pain. She took a scan of my back and showed me what a normal back looked like and I was way off the charts. After a few months of consistent support and working on stretches and exercises at home, I feel like a new woman!! We did an updated scan of my back after four months of treatment and it is truly transformed. I can sit all day at work (not great but if I have to) with ZERO pain. I have loved working with her. She is always prompt and courteous and Elena at the front desk has helped me with issues like appealing to FSA. No going back now-- I'm hooked!! Thank you Dr. Shelley!

This also exacerbated my wife's issue, leading to a more expensive (and completely out of pocket) treatment. Her office staff being completely hostile and fabricating coverage for expensive items. They stuck my wife with a $1200 bill on shoe insoles that they insisted were covered. They fabricated stories about contact our insurance carrier. Dr Ellie was aware of this, but just left the room to ensure that my wife got the message that she will not intervene. Find a true advocate for your care! Dr Ellie is NOT it.

I'd say run, don't walk to get away from her, but I couldn't do either which is why I was the podiatrist. She immediately started off nasty, rude, smug, and dismissive. It only got worse from there. I have a long history with my foot, and I was trying to quickly give her the greatest hits. She rolled her eyes gave me a nasty look, LITERALLY SHUSHED me and cut me off. Then I tried to show her a recent MRI on my phone, but there was no internet service (as is often the case in offices). I asked her for the guest WiFi password. She said, "that has nothing to do with me. You'll have to go ask the front desk." I had taken off my shoes and socks for the exam. I looked at her for a moment and realized she was dead serious. So she watched me put my shoes and socks back on, knowing every step I take is painful, and limp up to the front desk to ask them. What an abysmal human being. Then, she looked at my MRI report for less than 5 seconds and said "there's nothing here so I don't know what you expect me to do." The MRI report noted three major issues, the most serious of which was the cause to all my pain. There certainly was "something there." She was of absolutely no help to me and basically told me to "walk it off." She did prescribe me an anti-inflammatory....except she seemed unwilling to actually send it through. I had to call the office THREE times over several days to finally get it sent to the pharmacy. Incompetence, cruelty, and an all around failure as a doctor and a human.
