Due to working from home during COVID-19, I developed severe lower back pains to the point that I could barely sit for an hour at a time. After months of suffering and trying pain medicines, muscle relaxants, and patches, my doctor recommended I seek chiropractic support. I could not be more glad I found Dr. Shelley and her practice. When I first started going to her, my back was a complete wreck and I was near tears in pain. She took a scan of my back and showed me what a normal back looked like and I was way off the charts. After a few months of consistent support and working on stretches and exercises at home, I feel like a new woman!! We did an updated scan of my back after four months of treatment and it is truly transformed. I can sit all day at work (not great but if I have to) with ZERO pain. I have loved working with her. She is always prompt and courteous and Elena at the front desk has helped me with issues like appealing to FSA. No going back now-- I'm hooked!! Thank you Dr. Shelley! read more

I simply can not say enough good things about Dr. Shelly Perline and Perline Chiropractic. I was a long time anti-chiropractic person. I had gone to an old fashioned "rack 'en and crack 'em) chiro and he really messed me up. I discovered Shelly when I was going to Power Pilates (which, I also adore - I will have to yelp them!). She used a gentle manual process to adjust me - and I have been a dedicated client ever since - even after moving away to Philadelphia. I see her whenever I am in town. If you, like me, think that chiropractics don't work - think again - and RUN to see Dr. Perline. read more

Dr. Shelley is as good as it gets. I threw out my back while I was going to college in Boston. I went to a doctor up there who was sort of a "minimal movement, minimal adjustment" doctor, which I didn't like at all, so my mom recommended Dr. Shelley. The new office has a bunch of different services aside from the chiropractic practice. They also offer something called "Power Pilates" which can be taught privately, or in group classes. They have since added an accupuncturist as well. Dr. Shelley is one of the nicest doctors you could hope to have working on you. She is completely thorough, clearly very good at what she does, and makes the experience an enjoyable one. My back problem was cleared up almost within a week of seeing her, and I've been back for adjustments ever since. Highly highly highly recommended. read more

I just love Perline chiropractic! I can never get enough. I go every week for my prenatal pelvis alignment and would go every single day if I could Shelley is incredibly knowledgable and with an amazing sunny energy which always puts me in a better mood. I'm in my 3rd trimester pregnancy and haven't had any real back pain issue, thanks to Shelley! read more

Shelly Perline is one of the best chiropractors ever. I have had chronic neck pain for years, and every time I see her, she does great muscle testing, and is really able to isolate my pain, and give me a few good cracks, She never pushes follow-up visits on me and I so much appreciate that. Some chiropractors believe in constant maintenance, but Shelly gives you exercises and worksheets to make sure you can maintain your alignment on your own. Highly recommended!! read more

I've had recurring back problems for years and recently decided to explore chiropractic. I chose Perline in part because of the review on this site, and the experience has been very positive. Dr. Perline's friendly but thorough approach to examination, recommendations, and treatment put me at ease quickly. Great doctor, and highly recommended. read more

I have to say, I'm somewhat of an expert on chiroprators. My sister is a chiropractor, so I've been getting adjustments for the past 12 years. Also, a lot of friends are chiropractors and I have moved around a bit, so I would say I've been adjusted by anywhere from 20-30 different chiropractors in my life, maybe more. I found Dr. Perline after recently moving to New York. I can honestly say, Dr. Perline is the most thorough chiropractor I've ever visited. I came in for pain in the lower back area and neck, but she really checks the full body, including issues you didn't know existed, and makes sure you leave feeling a lot better. I went for a visit today and by the time I got back to my office, after a bit of walking and having the muscles readjust, most of the pain is gone. She even helped me out a bit with the price, since I am currently looking for a job and do not have insurance. I would highly recommend her services to anyone, whether you are used to going to chiropractors or whether you are thinking of trying them out for the first time. I look forward to continue to see her even after I get insurance. read more

I took my infant son who is suffering from colic to see Dr. Perline and she did a great job. Not only did her work help to reduce his crying that day (after only the first visit), but she was extremely gentle. I was worried about taking a newborn to a chiro, but I can't complain about the work she did. She gently held/rocked/shushed him through the whole process. Very impressed and will take him back. I would recommend her for any parents dealing with a colicky baby. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Shelley Perline since about the 6th month of my pregnancy for a misalignment of the right sacroiliac joint (aka lower back pain). As of today, I am 40 weeks pregnant, and can honestly say that I would not have the ease of movement that I have if it weren't for Dr. Shelley's adjustments. She is very friendly, approachable and willing to listen to and educate her patients. I recommend her to all pregnant women, whether you're preparing for a natural, non-invasive birth, have a breech baby, looking to remain active during your pregnancy, or just hoping for some relief from aches and pains. I should also mention that Christine, the office manager is super friendly and accommodating. There have been several times that I've had to reschedule or make a last minute appointment and she was graciously able to fit me in. Really can't recommend Perline enough! read more

Dr. Perline has been my chiropractor since 2009. She is extraordinary in her care and ability to address your pain or discomfort. She is thorough, gentle and extremely effective at bringing the body into alignment. I'm an avid runner and marathoner and I can tell you that Dr. Perline is an important part of my well-being and ability to perform at my best. Most recently, days before the Boston Marathon 2017, I was feeling a pinching and dull pain in my right hip. I knew I would have a problem racing with these symptoms. On the Friday I was heading to Boston, Dr. Perline saw me and gave me a treatment/adjustment. She knew exactly what to do and totally relieved the pain and discomfort. I had an exceptional race that following Monday...Dr. Perline played a key role. She's great and I completely trust her care. Also, Christine WHo runs the office and keeps everything moving in the right direction is fantastic and very accommodating to getting you in to see Dr. Perline. She helps to create a very friendly, relaxing and welcoming experience. They are a great team. I'm very happy my wife and I found them. read more

Dr Shelley is a miracle worker. I first walked into her office w a tremendous amount of pain. I could not even sit, that's how painful I was. I have degenerative and bulging discs along my spine as I had brought copies of my MRI taken early this year. My pain was sharp and had extended along the back of my legs, sciatica like symptoms. When I left her office and woke up the next morning, I felt like a new woman. I am not exaggerating as I could not imagine the tremendous amount of relief after my initial visit. I felt so much better that I need to share my experience. She is very patient and understanding. She takes the time to address all your concerns before applying her healing technique. I highly recommend her, if you are in a lot of pain. Don't wait! read more

Dr Perline is excellent in identifying your area of pain, and is gentle in her adjustments. She is an internal part in making sure I am able to perform in my job as an outside sales rep, lifting heavy bags up and down subway stairs. I have been seeing her since 2010, and cannot imagine going to another chiropractor. In fact when my insurance changed, I elected to continue to visit her and pay out of pocket because of the care she provides. Christine, her office manager, always has a pleasant disposition, and will do her best to get you in and out quickly, while not compromising your care. I highly recommend Perline Chiropractic. read more

Just walking into this place is a truly healing experience :) Dr. Shelley is such a healing, bubbly, effusive presence. A true natural healer. Even her administrative staff are amazing, friendly and kind. I went in with almost total numbness in several fingers, and her adjustments, more than anything else I have tried, is taking the numbess away. A miracle. My neck, previously practically unbendable, can now almost touch my shoulders - I walk straighter, my neck looks longer and leaner and I can actually MOVE it now ;) The energy flow throughout my body just seems to have improved exponentially, so much so that I have been able to exercise again. It is truly a healing center -- open, welcoming, nurturing -- and your body will thank you for visiting Dr. Shelley. You'll feel the difference quite quickly. Good luck to you! read more

My 2 kids and I have been visiting Dr. Shelley for the last few months and love getting adjusted! My kids consider it a massage since Dr. Shelley is so gentle and I see it as a time to literally straighten myself up, after all the daily movement that accompanies a mom with 2 young kids in New York. We primarily go for overall wellness and I will say that it really has contributed to keeping my kids healthier. My insurance cover most of the fee so I only need to cover our co-payments. Best money I spend on a monthly basis! You will love going there too. Chiropractic adjustments relieves stress on the central nervous system, which is a critical link and has governing role over the immune system. So I highly recommend it as a great preventative health measure! read more

I think Dr.Shelley is the greatest ! this woman walks into the room..with such grace and calmness..I love the way she actually touches the back and can tell where you are having the pain..She is gentle to the touch..now things are not better over night..but I leave there feeling like there is hope on the horizon..I wish all doctors could be like Dr,Shelley read more

Dr. Shelley is really friendly and listens to all your problem carefully. She takes her time to get to know you and all your problems, which is something I find rare in doctors. She is also very professional. Making appointments is easy and the receptionist is really friendly. Highly recommended! :) read more

I've seen Dr. Shelley for more years than I can count. She is hands down the best chiropractor. I have chronic migraines and persistent neck pain, and Dr. Shelly is an essential part of keeping me functional and out of pain. I refer friends, family, and coworkers to her. She is one of the only chiropractors in the city who uses the "activator" to do low-force adjustments if you prefer (though she also does great manual adjustments too). Dr. Shelley is not only incredibly skilled at her work, she is sweet, kind, funny, and really listens to you. And her office manager, Christine, makes every visit -- from scheduling to insurance -- seamless. Really, look no further. Dr. Shelley is the best chiropractor you will find in NYC. read more
