Many malls are dying but this one seems to keep kicking along with most of the spaces having tenants and even the car dealership parking a vehicle for display. I started off at Target and walked through the mall. On a Sunday morning, not much open but the walking folks were doing their thing here and there. Plenty of parking, smooth and clean floors. The Mall is trying to make a comeback. I think getting local small businesses in there is great. I like going into the stores to see other items. The only suggestions would be offer more food options. It was very busy today. I enjoy the events. It gives a extra plus. read more

In Plattsburgh, there's not a whole lot of options for shopping. Most of the stores have since closed, like Best Buy, Hollister, Aeropostale, FYE, Radio Shack, the toy store, Sears, Deb, etc. So many of the good stores have closed down. It's starting to re-fill with small businesses with poor quality items. The food court is down to only 2 options, Sbarro pizza and a local Chinese business, China Cafe, which they close down often. There is an Auntie Ann's, but they constantly have new people. Target is the staple of the mall. The mall itself is outdated and in need of a major face lift. read more

As a child of 80's, I'm always interested in seeing MALLS (sorry if you think that's lame!) actually, not sorry! ;) The booming days are obviously over, try to find a mall in 2022 without vacancies or many vacancies. Champlain got old (like everything and everyone else), it's not great but it's nice to walk around with a few good chains remaining, and a bunch of stores you wonder; who goes there!? This is a small mall in a small community, so you should not expect a lot. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised coming into the mall. Only a few of the stores have exterior entrances and there is no sign to show the number of stores inside. I found it had everything I needed, plus some extra. There is a small food court and a movie theater in the mall, as well. While it isn't the type of mall you would find in a large city, it is very clean and up to date with ample parking and modern amenities. read more

A desolate mall that captures the essence of the past, a sort of time capsule from 1987, the year it was built. No apparent renovations have been put into this shopping complex, it's drab and sad looking, without many stores but some good finds can still be found. Big box stores like Target and Best Buy are always interesting to browse through, but there's nothing here you can't find elsewhere. I particularly liked Yankee Candle and Bath and Body Works, they were holding great sales after the holiday season which I haven't seen north of the border in my hometown. The food court is pitiful and the available wifi is per a paid subscription service - however if you need to connect to the web, Target has free wifi! Not the most exciting place to cross border shop yet Champlain Centre does have a bit of everything and if you want kitsch designs or just something to raise an eyebrow, visit Mystic World or Purse Party. read more

So let me just say, this mall kind of sucks alright. The food court is god awful and full of scumbags. The stores lack in variety (literally only clothing stores and shoe stores) and everyone seems to stare at you as if you are from another planet. If you want a good mall, go to Burlington. Did you just cross the border? Are you going to cross the border? Do you have the correct currency that you need? There is a store front in the mall where you can exchange U.S. dollars/Canadian dollars/Euros. This is really convenient and the exchange rates are reasonable if you Google the currency for the current rate. The downside? They may not take your small change coins. For example, one and two Euro coins are the smallest Euro coins they will take - no Euro cents. The stores in the mall are your basic mall stores and there is also a theater complex and a food court. read more

Hello, today I am talking about the food court and, the mall itself. If you are a person who likes to eat out a lot then you will be very surprised! The Champlain Centre doesn't really have a lot of food choices. You can only pick three choices, that's it! The three choices are, Subway, Subbaros, and China Café. I really think we need some more choices here, people!!! The next thing I want to talk about is that we have like 50 something stores! But most of them are going out of business. First of all, I know they are making Kohl's right now but come on, they haven't gone very far on it! I am excited that we are getting more stores, but it's been a long time. It's hard to criticize a Mall in this town as it's the only one they have. I mostly go there to stroll, I'll stop at EB Games and the bookstore (not sure if that's still open). The food court really lacks variety and the there are some stores like Sears that really seem uninviting. However, the Target and Best Buy are solid bets and there is a Movie Theater (choose the longest movie just to rest your feet from all the shopping). read more

It is hard to not be bias with this review. You can't compare a standard mall in Montreal to this. I'm reviewing this as if I lived here and this was the only mall in my town. Even at that, it is below average. Years ago, there were more stores, more to eat and it was less run down. In the last few years, half of the stores have closed and only 4 restaurants (chinese, pizza, taco bell and subway) remain. The movie theatre and arcade are still up and running. There is a large Target which is probably the highlight of this mall. They recently opened up an "escape room" place but I'm not sure if it will last. Overall, it is a OK place to stroll while in Plattsburgh on a rainy day. Since many of the stores are sadly on the verge of closing, there are often ridiculously good deals. The tiny Sephora inside JCpenney was nice to browse. read more

I will never ever again revisit this mall. Needed to use the rest room, the urinals are on an open wall with your back facing the entry door in Sears. A man while his wife waits outside the door, he brings a little girl into the mens room making me feel very uncomfortable, even with my back to her. I turned my head in disbelief and he did not even cover her eyes, like this is totally natural and comfortable. Feeling sick, I see he brings her into the stall, where I'm hearing with other men "No daddy, No". I'm thinking omg, and seek out a security guard. By the time the security guard arrives the man is gone with his wife. So with cameras no security watching even if a taken child is taken to the mens bathroom. The mother of said child could have easily taken that little girl into the womens bathroom. Low standards read more

Zales has been a nightmare. Bought a bracelet with the extended warranty and we sent it out for re-sizing. Told it would be back in store at a determined date (we live an hour away) and when we showed up on the date it was to be completed by, it wasn't there. We were understanding and told them we'd be back in a few days. Went back and still no bracelet. This time they kept saying UPS takes 4 days, and that's fine, but we are 11 days past what was promised? Go to find out it's been sitting in a different Zales store and no one notice that whole time. IT GETS WORSE. We finally get the call that our bracelet arrived back from re sizing and it's extended traveling to find out after inspection before I walk out of the store that it is missing a Diamond. They've been running us around with apologies and lies and let's not forget about a $50 gift card. We decided to settle on a full refund and take our money elsewhere. Paying for a product when you can't use it, not good business. read more

I went to J-Spa for a massage with a gift card I got for Christmas from a family member and I have been there on several different occasions. But this time has me so disturbed!! I was getting a massage by a female masseuse and 45 mins into my 1 hour appointment she asked me if I minded a male finish the appt (she didn't give me a reason for her having to leave) but I agreed, not knowing what would happen next...as my massage was ending I'm laying there naked with a towel on me being massaged by what I thought was a professional masseuse doing there job for a client. My hand was laying face down with my palms up because I'm getting a massage. Only to feel a DICK BEING PUT IN MY HAND!! The horror and disbelief & panic that took over me had me scared for my life. What if this guy is a sex trafficker and if I say anything he might hurt me, kill me or steal me to sell to someone! I instantly froze! When I finally was able to move I tucked my hand under my leg. And rushed to get out of there and never look back! I went to the police station to report this but nothing was done because "I didn't physically see his penis in my hand" but I couldn't make this up, nor would I ever want to or wish this situation on my worst enemy! I'm horrified by this incident & to know nothing's being done about this makes me so upset!! I'm wondering how many times he's gotten away with this?! I'm terrified! It took me awhile to even be able to post this because of the public shame and having to worry this man might try to come find me and hurt me!! If ANYTHING like this has happened to you PLEASE go to the state police and report it! This needs to stop!! read more

The stores keep on dying like flies and you wonder, is it the lack of business or the inept management? Well, as a Canadian, who has to pay $10.24 per Meg of Internet on my phone, it's nice to sit down to lunch some place where I can catch up using the wifi. They used to have free wifi, but now, you have to register and PAY. So, we got into our car and went elsewhere. The lack of free wifi affects Canadians most, so I guess they don't really want us to visit this mall. Not that there is much to visit anymore. Down near the Sears store it's just so SAD. And when the exchange rate is USD$1 = CAD$1, it's nice to see merchants who give us 90c on the dollar or the "exchange" giving us 95c on the dollar. Other than Target, JCP and Sears, is there really anything much left in this mall, other than a Thai restaurant that doesn't have have Pad Thai and looks at you as if you fell off of a turnip truck because you ask for the most popular dish in Thailand? read more
