While staying at the Marriott, I chose the convenience of eating in the hotel. Champions failed to live up to its name. I ordered the Tomato Bisque as an appetizer. The acidity of the tomato was clearly dominant. No crackers or anything was offered to balance it out. Salad croutons were all that was available and that had to be asked for with the waitress. My main course was the Half Chicken with Season Vegetables. This meant Broccolinis. The chicken was nicely crisped on the outside and quite moist. Some may have preferred it to have been cooked longer. My issue was that it was VERY salty. The broccolini was almost raw. My knife chopped through it causing a loud noise where fellow patrons turned to see what I had done. The service was poor. She came to the table twice. Any other time she had to be stopped while she was walking by. This was irritating as the saltiness from the chicken required copious amounts of sweet tea. I typically do not expect much from airport hotels as they do not cater to nor seek repeat business. In this case they aren't going to be getting it either. read more

This place is walking distance from the convention center which meant we didn't have to leave and pay a reentry fee. So, we checked it out. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Its a bit pricey for what you get in my opinion, but probably the norm for a Marriott restaurant. It was $13 for a salad with no protein. Full of open tables and gave us a hard time about holding a table for the children (7 adults with 5 kids) that were walking down from hotel room because they had "a waitlist". After we finally got a waitress to come to our table, she was very friendly but drinks were running out and taking forever for refill from bar. Champions is located inside the Marriott, right next to the airport (actually connected via tram). We had a bunch of time to kill so we stopped in for lunch before heading to the airport. You have to park in the hotel parking garage but they will validate your ticket inside. The place is nice and has a lot of seating. We sat at the bar and the bartender was quick and friendly. They have a lot of selections on the menu but it is a little pricey. The food came out pretty quick and it was excellent. No complaints here. Would recommend if you are staying at the hotel but wouldn't drive far out of the way to go here. read more

If you are willing to pay $15 for a BLT and fries on my picture and $9 IPA in a plastic cup, I recommend you try this place. Otherwise, take the 5-minute tram to the airport terminal for better variety and choices. Convenient. We are staying at Springhill suites which is right across the street. We got the burger, turkey BLT, vegetable spring rolls and pepperoni flat bread. Burger was for my kids so I didn't try but it looked good and they devoured it. The fries it came with was good. Turkey BLT was average. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. The flat bread was more like pizza than flat bread. Vegetable spring rolls were crispy and came with a yummy sauce. Service was average (not attentive enough) but we weren't in a hurry so all was well. read more

I came in here with my wife and kids. I had brought a few chicken nuggets and fries for my children due to them being extremely picky eaters. We were informed by some what appeared to be a management staff in all black to not bring in outside food into the restaurant. We were perfectly fine with putting away the food. We did not see any signs stating that no outside food was allowed. Unfortunately, the staff was very rude and condescending. They initially allowed us to order our food to go. While waiting for food at our table, we were told by our waiter to leave the restaurant and wait in the lobby for food. I have never been treated this way before in type of establishment. The staff was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. If there is a corporate contact, I would like express my experience with them. read more

When our rental car wasn't ready we decided to grab lunch here. Given it is in a hotel I did not have high expectations but the food was really good! We booked the better hotel at the Atlanta airport. We chose to not take a cab to Atlanta and have dinner in the area. Our hotel recommended Champions for dinner. We were so unimpressed. My wife chose the pasta dish because of the peas. Once delivered my wife complained that the dish did not have the peas. Our waiters response was that they ran out of peas yesterday. The pasta is one of their say 5 main dishes so why could no one get peas over the last two days as listed on the menu. I had the chicken - over salted - the bake potato was dried up like it was cooked 3 days ago. Caesar salad taste like some thing out of a store mix. My suggestion is to go any where else read more

If you have to be stranded at the Atlanta Airport, the Gateway Center Marriott is the place to be... great service, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and an amazing restaurant. The servers are beyond friendly, and the food is spot on. I had the shrimp po-boy at dinner last night - at midnight - after not eating for 12 hours, and the kitchen was happy to stay open a few extra minutes to make sure I got food. For lunch I had the Georgia trout, which was even better. Perfectly cooked, and both were served with asparagus which was like icing on a cake. If you are staying overnight in Atlanta before a flight, check it out. read more

Came over to Champions At Marriott. Quite a few TV's. Nice and clean. COVID to the extreme. Plastic cups for beer(no likey), bring your food in plastic containers(really no likey) and condiments in small plastic individuals(really really don't likey). C'mon Marriott... restaurants all over America using glasses and regular utensils and plates!!! Enough already! Had the chicken sandwich and it was ok. Best part was Brittany's service. First of all, it was sweltering in Champions. I asked the waitress if anything could be done about the temperature and she said, "Fan yourself and drink ice water." She was a friend of one of the people I was with, but that wasn't an okay answer. She did explain that there was nothing she could do, however and noted how cold it is in the actual hotel lobby versus how hot in Champions. Temperature aside, the staff at Champions was generally friendly and nice. The decor is fine. The food was middling. Nothing to write home about. I was in Atlanta for a seminar recently and my boss and I had a two hour dinner break so we walked over and had dinner here. I wish I could have take pictures. Very nice restaurant. The service was amazing, from the hostess to the waitress and everyone that worked there. The food was amazing. I had a chicken sandwich with fries. I went to the restaurant with my family for dinner and was told it would be a 15 min wait so that they could set up the table for us. The receptionist wrote our name down on a list (by the way, 3 hours later I saw that list and we were the only name on it). It took over an hour (we were the only ones in the lobby waiting to be seated for over an hour. The Champion Employees or leadership, never came over to check on us. After waiting for an hour to be seated, my dad inquired with the hostess and suddenly our table was ready. When we sat down, the wait continued again. We watched others arrive, order, leave and yet we waited. Finally, after waiting for hours, we complained to management and our food finally arrived. And as if the wait wasn't bad enough, the food was awful too. My nephew order a medium rare steak which came out "very" well done. I ordered nachos which was literally drenched with cheese. I have no intention of ever returning. I feel that the staff was rude staff and bad food is one heck of a combo. read more
