Went here at midnight after a show for a slice and it was exactly what we needed at the time. Good price (two slices and a can soda or water $10) quick service, place to sit and relax. No complaints. read more

Got a quick bite here after a long day of shopping in SoHo and it was alright. This location has quite a few spots to sit at and their pizza options are good. I just wish they warmed up their pizza a little bit more as I felt that mine was a bit cold still. read more

This is the cutest little pizzeria. I ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and it did not disappoint. This was literally the best pizza that I've had in my entire life. Someone took us to the spot and they highly recommended it and after I tasted that pizza I could definitely understand why. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely be returning to get a couple of slices. I started with just one slice of pizza, but after eating the first slice, I had to order a second slice. Both slices were equally amazing. The service was great too. read more

Had a solid slice and diet soda after a long run down Summer Streets here after running by earlier. Went back to try them out and was happy I did. Always fun to look at all the celebrity pictures on the wall to see how many I recognize. Clean place. Open early until the wee hours of the morning. read more

I can't say enough about this pizza. I wasn't really expecting this type of crust. It was really great to try. I can't really put it into one category. It's really its own. Absolutely mind blowing tasty pizza sauce. Stopped in on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Great lil shop with fun photos of celebrities on the walls. read more

Updated Review 10/3/25 Decided to give Champion Pizza SoHo another chance but instead of ordering delivery. I went to the actual location. My experience for take out at the SoHo location was like night & day compared to getting delivery. The vibes were super upbeat, friendly!!! Special thanks to Faiza, who is an absolute gem! The pizza was fresh, hot, and delicious! Service was super amazing, and the location is quaint, cute, and absolutely perfect! Champion Pizza SoHo Dine Inn, or Take Out is the way to go. Now I understand after personally visiting the location it's not the restaurant, it's the delivery service that ruins orders, not the location. Definitely will be back to ordering from Champion! read more

Interesting pizza on a flatbread style. It's good. Crunchy, a little stiff. Good flavors. Not totally my favorite slice in the city but it's definitely unique. The timer game at the front is fun to play for a free slice. Nice service. Cool interior with so many photos of celebrities. read more

Had a fabulous lunch here. Delicious pizza and an amazing story of the owner who came to NYC unable to speak English and was homeless and now has 6 locations and donates millions to homeless causes. The pizza was great. Loved the jalapeño and truffle but all was great! read more

I got the regular cheese pizza, nothing special to it. The pizza was a little flimsy, which is something I've noticed in nyc pizza. Id rate the pizza a 6/10. The place came with a cool little game where if you can stop the stopwatch at 10s you'd get a free slice of cheese pizza, which I found neat. read more

Thank you, Yelpers, for guiding me to Champion Pizza! My last day in New York I was doing a little 'pizza crawl' around the area, and I found Champion Pizza on Yelp. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the sign outside, but oh-my-goodness. This ranks as one of my top three slices in NYC. The flavor of the sauce (it actually had flavor not bland tomato sauce), the right amount of cheese, and a perfectly crispy crust. Ample seating indoors, too. Several tables for four and a couple tables of two. Bottled/canned beverages available for purchase, too. I came shortly after they opened on a Saturday; perfect time to come! Pop in for a delicious slice! 2025: 56/100 read more

Champion Pizza - An OK slice. Nothing super special but nothing wrong with it. - Pizza Near Me - New York, New York

I absolutely love Champion Pizza! The veggie slice is my favorite always fresh and packed with flavor. The cheese slice is perfect too, with a crispy crust and delicious sauce. One time I even won a free cheese slice, which made my day! The employees are really kind and welcoming, and you can tell they care about what they do. I always leave happy. Definitely my go-to spot for a great slice! read more

This was good pizza. It's small for the price though. The pizza wasn't evenly cut. In fact there were missing triangles. So bad quality control. Luckily I have my own pizza cutter at home. Nonetheless it's good pizza. Not somewhere I'd order from unless I had a discount. read more

Margherita pizza for a reasonable price, but a bit pricier compared to others nearby. The pizza crust is pretty crunchy which I like but it was almost like biting into a pita chip at first. The flavor is there though. Super friendly service, and there was not a huge line. They had great music playing in the background but I just took my pizza on the go with me. read more

I like going to the one on Fulton Street on Brooklyn it's spacious if you're dining in. This SoHo location is smaller and btw there's no bathroom here. ( this is honestly becoming more of a deal breaker for me when I'm choosing where to eat ) Pizza is good with varied combinations and veggie options. It's thin crust. Staff here is nice as well. read more

Relatively expensive pizza, but a solid go to for a quick slice. Staff working behind the counter are prompt and are able to heat and serve your order rather quickly. Seating is available for parties of 4 or less, but it is rather tight and I would only recommend dining here if its a quick bite/snack and not a chance to hang and catch up. Fun tip! Try your luck at the timer to stop the clock at 10 secs to win a FREE slice! read more

This place was right next to the cheesecake spot we hit and we saw the sign one our way to the subway. Since we were already there we just decided to go in. I had high expectations when I saw all of their accolades and pics of celebrities who had eaten at these locations. Wow I was kind of disappointed. Pretty average at best. Love the creativity of the slices like so many other pizza by the slice shops but I feel like the execution just wasn't on point. If I had to choose one slice over the other I'd say the macaroni one was better than the vodka. There's a few tables inside so if you need a place to sit and eat there you should be good. read more

I was in the area and originally I was dying to try Ceres which was a few blocks away but they're only serving pies at the moment. Champion was one of the places close by with pretty good reviews. At the counter, they had an assortment of square slices with a thin grandma style crust. The pineapple and bacon looked good so I picked that and grabbed a Diet Coke from the cooler. I asked for a side of sauce and was given a cup with the tiniest amount possible, guess they couldn't spare it? The slice came out and honestly, it could have been warmer but I was hungry so I ate it anyway. Restaurant was clean and had a cozy vibe. If I happen to be near Champion (they have a bunch of locations like Little Italy and Marinara) maybe I'd stop by again. read more

I went to this place for the first time and I loved their pizza!! I didn't know this place and actually found this place by searching in Yelp lol We had their mac&cheese pepperoni slice, the truffle mushroom slice and margarita pesto slice. The staff was nice, interior was clean, and very neat. Pizza was great, drinks were amazing, but my experience was ruined halfway through when a crazy person had laid outside screaming, and whaling. The staff were doing their best to try to stay calm, but were not really doing much to help the situation. The person walked into the store and everyone left. Overall the food was great, but I had to leave the rest of my food behind. read more

I know Prince Street is right around the corner, but I feel like Champion Pizza may be better? Came here after shopping around in Soho and it was nice to get 3 pizza slices for $16 which is quite unheard of. - Bacon Pineapple - Large chunks of bacon with large chunks of pineapple, what isn't there to love. I also appreciate that they always give you huge side pieces and honestly 2 people can comfortably share 3 pizzas. - Truffle Mushroom - I was a HUGE fan of this pizza and the main reason why I would give this place a five stars. Although I didn't taste much of the truffle flavor on this pizza, the mushroom were delicious as they were thick cut and gave the pizza so much flavor. It also felt like they marinated the mushroom in some pickled juice before that, so there was a slight sour taste which went well with the heavy cheese. I seriously cannot recommend this pizza more. Overall, very solid pizza place. I have to do a side-by-side taste test between Champion and Prince Street, but right now maybe Champion is the champion (haha sorry I had to). read more

Delicious pizza but super small restaurant, not many tables to sit, and the trash was completely overflowing at the time. I was excited to try certain flavors but the menu had been parsed down a lot since the most recent menu pictures on yelp so the flavors I wanted were unavailable. Regardless, we ordered a slice of truffle mushroom and a slice of pepperoni. Both delicious at a decent price. Quick pie stop that hit the spot. read more

There quality has gotten better and much more friendly service! The sauce is much improved!

I first heard of Champion Pizza, believe it or not, from one of my drivers of the X27 express bus. It was Xmas Eve and I was riding into the city to meet friends for dinner. We got around to talking about the inevitable: holidays, last bus tonight due to Xmas Eve, the weather ( no snow!) and of course pizza. My driver, when asked, what his favorite pizza shop was, he replied, "Champion Pizza!". " The best". Well, as you can guess it's pizza cheat time and I noticed Champion Pizza was about a ten minute walk from work. I decided due to a very Spring like day, it was a good idea to eat outside. I entered the shop and there was a small line that moved rather quickly. The shop is small and seating is limited. Of course patrons are hearing the words we on line all want to hear " Chicken Bacon Ranch slice ready!" "Lasagna slice ready"! I wanted a Margherita slice and ordered it and watched the server slice it from the pie that was there on display. I found a seat and reflected on important pizza perspectives: "Was my slice from a pie that came out of the oven not too long ago?" If not "How long was it there?". See what happens when you're hungry you forget these important aspects of pizza ordering! Too late now because "Margherita slice ready!" I went to pick up and of course it was hard to reach the plate that was in the air waiting for my hands to reach... I went to my table and stared at my slice: it was square, on thin crust flatbread, nice portion of basil, not too saucy... now the important part, that first bite... Rolling pin sound please... it was just good... not great. The taste of sauce, cheese and basil were very good but it didn't knock my socks off. All I can say it is very tasty pizza but I prefer a focaccia crust versus flatbread. I guess being a Brooklyn pizza sort of snob, all pizza is measured to the Brooklyn standard. ( Margherita think L 'Industrie) Would I come back Yes because there are very interesting slice options like Veggie Square pizza and White Pesto. Final round: Champion might be the star attraction in Soho but Brooklyn is the Rocky borough for pizza, you might say Knockout? read more

The pizza here was all right. They had a lot of different flavors and we ordered the chipotle, chicken and chicken, bacon ranch as well as cheese pizza. They heated it up for us and the service was very good and very fast. The store self is a bit small but very cozy and I really like the decorations there. However, I did not enjoy the pizza itself as much as I thought it was lacking in a bit of flavor. read more

I stopped by for a quick bite. I got a pepperoni square slice, one of their best sellers. It wasn't heated up enough. There was barely any crispiness to the crust. I will give them that their bread is quite fluffy. The pepperonis were lackluster, no char from the oven despite being curled up. The cheese wasn't melted even though it was supposedly heated up. Sauce was okay, but there wasn't much. Overall, there are better square slices nearby. read more

Quality slice of pizza on the way home from the pubs. They open late with plenty of hot options to soak up that booze from earlier. The place is very casual and packed with locals and visitors. They have some decent seating and the place is well lite. The pizza is definitely good. It's less oily and packed with flavor. I ordered two slices but one was enough and I took one home for tomorrow. Day old pizza turned out to be consistent after a quick air fry. Can't really complain bout much except when it's really packed, you are going feel like a can of sardines. Happy trailing. read more
