Two bikers for every hiker. It can get crowded if you aren't hiking alone with bike traffic. Surprisingly not too many bugs even though it rained the day before. TH at the very end of the parking lot. Numerous pavilions, fishing piers, playgrounds, and a small beach. I took a dip in the lake after hiking and it was refreshing, but the shoreline is small and the swimming area doesn't go much deeper than four feet. Water was clear, to the point where I could see a band aid in the sand. On another note, coming from Detroit you will run into construction on HWY 96 (Summer 22) as you near Kensington Park. I had minor delays at 9AM, but on my way back there were massive delays with only one operating lane. Check before you go.

This past weekend, we attended the Bash at Bishop, which they host every year, and we had an absolute blast. It was the perfect way to kick off summer with bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals, fun games, hot dogs, snow cones, and cotton candy galore! My little ones were especially excited to check out the fire truck, ambulance, and police car and even a race car! They couldn't stop smiling. There were also prize giveaways, live music, and a band playing to bring the whole community together. And the best part? It's all FREE. Just an incredible event at a park that already checks all the boxes for our family. Even without the event, Bishop Park is a gem we visit regularly. Can't recommend it enough for families looking for a fun, clean, and scenic place to spend the day.

Instead it was a labyrinth of climbing and going in and out of wooden towers. It was difficult to follow along as I'm 6'2, 200. I barely fit in some of the spaces. But the kids had fun and had no issue at full speed. There is also a splash pad about 100ft away. The playground is huge and looks like so much fun for children. There's also a gated waterpark right next to the play ground called H20 Spray park. Not sure when it opens to the public but I believe you do have to pay to enter. As you walk further down, you'll see a concession stand and another building with outside seating along with a hanging sign that says Westand Lions Club. And There's a pond area with a fountain in the middle. Lastly, there's a soccer field with a 2 lane track going around it - 1 lap is 0.5mi. After exploring the area, I went around the track a few times. I had a Very nice time.
