I purchased a 2014 VW Jetta in Jan 2024 CASH for my daughter who was in college. Car was fine for the 1st 6 months then every issues you could think....I should have known when we asked about the TP light was on and we inquired on why. They stated they would fix before sale....48 hrs. after sale back it was on....They will make the car "driveable" until they get it out of their possession. I really hated to give this dealership a this rating but wanted to be truthful. My husband and I went here to check out a car advertised online. It looked nice and drove okay but the suspension malfunction light kept coming up. I asked Scott (salesman) to check it out. He originally told me that this happens when cars sit for a while(?). Lights just pop on. Really??? I thought that was weird. Went back to test drive it again and again the light indicator popped on. Scott said he would have the mechanic look a it. He called me back and said the mechanic test drove it and looked at it and could find nothing wrong. Skeptically, we bought it. We went back in a week to pick up he temp tag and I spoke with the owner (Alex?) again about the light. He took one glance at the car and said that the suspension was too low in the back of the vehicle. It needed to be repaired $$. He could send us to a buddy's shop to get it fixed. So, bottom line as nice and kind as Scott was .... He just flat out lied to us. We took it elsewhere to have the automatic suspension replaced on the rear of the car. Another issue that popped up regarding the purchase of the car are the extra fees (processing fees?). We told them that this was ridiculous and they took the fees off. They also charged us fees for handling the registration and guess what they never applied to get them for us. We waited and waited then called DMV only to find out we had to go get them ourselves. Comes across as friendly and helpful. Less than four months later my power steering went out. Mechanic said he thinks it was in a flood. He found wet under the carpet in the trunk with baking soda. That used to get rid of smell. It was to cost me more thsn $2-3000k for a new power steering module. Called Scott and I told him . He told me to have car sent to his mechanic to "see whats going on". Thinking if he is telling me this even though I told him what the probem was already so feeling like that he intended to fix it. Had my car for almost two weeks . Said he was looking for the part. Finally called and he tells me that the mechanic he had me send car to that I would have to work out payment with him. Why would i send my car to him and his mechanic to tell me something I already knew? Wasted my time and only thing he offered is to pay the mechanic the "diagnostic" fee I never asked him for which confirmed what I had told him before i sent it to him. Furthermore Im sure this is a racket he has worked out with the mechanic. The mechanic was gonna grossly overcharge me for something that at best once I got the part for maybe just a couple of hundred at another mechanic I had it taken to. Im a disabled veteran and I told them to please let me know any issues as I am on a fixed budget, I know it was as is but the cover up of a flood with baking soda is illegal and unethical. Total cons. The absolute worst. They cover up issues to maximize profits. When replacing my catalytic converter my mechanic said that they tampered with the sensors to try and cover up the problem. If you have had a problem with this business contact the Attorney General consumer protection division. Avoid this dump at all cost. read more

We test drove a 2014 Volvo S60 and came back a few days after to put a deposit and started the process to have the bank send a check for this car. 08/04 Took Delivery of the Car and the car died 6 miles away from the dealership. Towed it to AAA and they did a visual inspection and replaced the Battery and Starter a $1240/- repair 08/07 Tried to pick up the car and had rattling metal sounds in the Engine. Took back to the dealership and per the dealership it needs a new engine. Second opinion also suggested a new engine to cost me approx. $6500/- The car is not operable. The dealership is not willing to work with me and I want my money back and I am taking a legal action to get my money back. read more

Just bought a 2013 Mini Coup from here. Sales guy, Scott, was very nice and friendly. Car was in great shape and runs good. Price was good as well. Process was pretty smooth and quick and there were not any hidden fees thrown at you at the end. I used their referral Landmark Finance for the loan. That process was very easy and smooth as well. Things to know: 1. There is no parking there. One small spot up front./ You have to park in lot next to them. 2. Cars are sold "As-Is" They are very upfront about that. They will let you take it to a shop to have it inspected but the shop must be within 5 miles of the dealer. 3. The do not negotiate. They have no haggle pricing. Stinks but I felt the price was fair for what I got. 4. They do not except and credit or debit cards for over $500. 5. Most cars are bought at auction or trade ins from other buyers (as far as I know) but no big deal. 6. Only complaint is that I did not get a full tank of gas. I asked for some and they did put in $15. Not a big deal but if you are spending over 10k with someone I think that should be a given. Overall great Experience. Thanks to the Champ Motors Team for everything. I would recommend to anyone but do get the car inspected. I found a shop to do a general inspection for free or a deep inspection for $120. If I could leave a zero star review, I would first off let me start off by saying I saw the car on Facebook a white Porsche Cayenne vin # WP1AB29P16LA64760 The Facebook ad said it was by appointment only to set up an appointment call them to make sure my appointment was set up the day before call them the morning of when I left my house three hours away and had taken the day off work got down there. Call them and let them know. I was about an hour away for them to call me back 10 minutes later and tell me the car wasn't even there. It was in the shop. I called and spoke with Scott and asked him. Is there anyway that you could get the car back where I can look at it or maybe I can go to the shop where it to look at the car he decided to send me back three hours away without offering me any Assistance. Today I called Scott to ask him about the car a week later he says the car still in the shop so it definitely has major issues and you should not buy it Also to top it off, he told me to go f*ck myself and curse me out. I wouldn't do business with these people for anything. Definitely a low budget low quality car dealership. I do not Recommend anyone wasting your time or money shopping with these people, they do not know how to sell cars and they definitely don't treat people with any respect. read more

The sales rep was courteous, and the purchase was smooth. The car iIpurchased is great, but I was told that they would apply for my tags for me. When they did not arrive I called and was informed that the paperwork was processed and I should go to the tag office. The tag office advised that no tags were applied for. Now I have to take time out of my day and go down as well as pay AGAIN for the tag fee. read more

The sales staff does not live up to their word. I was told that the smell in the car I was looking at was from the detailer. I bought the car and within two days the smell got much worse. I was told when I bought the car that if it got worse to bring it back. So, I did...4 times. There is mold in the car and they have been masking the smell but not doing anything to kill the mold. On the last visit to the dealer Alex was very rude and refused to do anything further. Do not buy from this place. Buyer Beware!!!!!! I bought my 2009 BMW 328I form them last month. I was greeted Scott and advised I wanted to look at the White BMW. I asked to open the hood so that I could see underneath. RED flag number one it was stuck. It must have been repainted with the bumper(which was poorly done btw) . I Asked if it would be possible for me to take it to my mechanic and was told no based on security. RED flag number 2. Anyone that has nothing to hide would be willing to let me take it to someone for a checkup. Even after that I was at least going to test drive it being I cam 40 mins. out of my way to come and see it. Overall the car did seem to respond well to throttle and breaking. I told them I need to at least see under the hood so I can make a better financial decision. After a few minutes they got it open and looking it over it didn't see any leaks on the power steering or the value cover gasket. But looking at it, it looked too clean and it looked like they sprayed it down with degreaser. But overall with the lower mileage(73K) I thought it was a little over priced but I decided to get it and then have my mechanic look at it. Well to make a long story short. This car needs well over 4,000 dollars in repairs and they asked if I wanted one of "their" mechanics to help and that my mechanic was too expensive. No thank you... So after bringing this to their attention I was pretty much told to F Off and we don't care what we sell just as long as it sales. So now I am stuck with a crap car that needs a ton of work or do I sale it and take a HUGE loss on something a dealer should have never advertised with this amount of problems in good conscience. Everybody I dealt with at Champ exuded professionalism and courtesy. The vehicle I purchased from them (although used) was not in horrible disrepair. In fact, the only thing that was faulty with the vehicle was a bad tire pressure sensor and a bad passenger-side lock motor. Those two things aside, everything was (and still is) in good-working order. Why the 3-star rating then? I found out (courtesy of the Georgia State Police) that the vehicle I bought from them was not 100% street legal. It's important to note that dealers are under NO legal obligation to ensure a car's legality in GA, aside from the vehicle emissions. That being said, it still would have been nice if they would have corrected the errors that made the vehicle only 90% legal, instead of passing that obligation on to me after the purchase. read more

I had to update this review because I think that if we take the time to share complaints, we should take the time to share the good. Alex and Scott are good people. I bought a car from them and we had the oil changed before going on a college visit for one of our kids about 8 hour drive. The service facility did a full inspection on the car and rated the overall health of the car points higher than the average year/make/model. We had such an amazing trip. The car was good on gas mileage and the mechanic said "whoever you bought this car from, it was well cared for". When we stopped to get gas, the cashier was raving over the car and could not believe when we told him the year of the car. On our way back home, we saw another car on the road that had the champ motors sticker and temporary tag! With a used car, you don't know what you are getting and the true test for us was putting it on the road for this trip. It passed with flying colors.
