Club Pilates in Duarte was my introduction to the world of Pilates, and it's where I learned the…read morebasics of using a reformer. I started with their complimentary 30-minute intro class, where they walked us through the equipment, studio etiquette, and the different class formats they offer. They also explained their membership options, including 4 classes per month, 8 classes per month, and unlimited classes. The unlimited package seems like the best value if your schedule allows you to attend classes regularly throughout the week. One of the things I appreciate most about this location is the ample parking. I usually book the CP Reformer Flow class through ClassPass and arrive about 10 minutes early. Grip socks are required, and first-time visitors will need to complete a waiver before class. The studio itself is well-equipped and welcoming. The lobby features cubbies for personal belongings, a water refill station, and a selection of apparel and accessories for purchase. Inside the studio, there are 12 reformers along with TRX straps, mats, and other equipment that instructors incorporate into workouts. Classes are typically 50 minutes long, with a 10-minute transition period between sessions. I've enjoyed many of the instructors here, though the teaching styles and intensity levels can vary. Some instructors really challenge you and provide hands-on form corrections, which is my personal preference. Others offer a more moderate workout, but I still leave feeling like I got a good session in. I'm giving this location 4 stars mainly because it can be difficult to book classes during the most popular times through ClassPass. That said, it's a great studio with a variety of classes, knowledgeable instructors, and a welcoming environment. It's a solid option whether you're brand new to Pilates or looking to build a consistent practice!

Updated Review (3+ Years as a Member)…read more I've been going to this Planet Fitness for over three years now and overall it has been a solid place to work out. One of the biggest improvements they have made is lowering the music volume. It used to be extremely loud, but it has been adjusted to a much more reasonable level, which makes the environment way better if you are not wearing noise canceling headphones. They have also added a number of machines that are great for members who take their workouts a little more seriously. It is nice to see the equipment selection expand beyond the basics. The gym does get a little packed during peak hours, but that is pretty normal for any gym. Despite that, there are generally enough machines to get through a workout. The only one that always seems to be busy is the fly machine. Another positive is that equipment gets repaired pretty quickly if something breaks, which I really appreciate. The staff has always been chill and easy to deal with. Overall it is a good club. Not perfect, but well maintained and consistently improving.

This location of Planet Fitness is in Duarte, in the same plaza as a Smart and Final. I was…read moreactually in the plaza for a Club Pilates class and found it convenient to walk over and continue my work out here. This is definitely the smallest location I've been to in terms of square footage and equipment, but it didn't feel too crowded. I feel like equipment is limited for weightlifting machines, but I was here for cardio so there were sufficient machines for that purpose. Also just as an observation, the cardio machines here do not have individual tv screens compared to other locations. They do have large tv screens with a few channels to watch. Plenty of clean up stations for you to wipe down the machines you use. Planet Fitness frowns upon the grunting and bro-intimidation, but this location had some dudes grunting and being loud and obnoxious with their work out. I would have liked if staff said something to them. I would only come back here if I'm already at Club Pilates and I wanted to further my work out. If I was going to a Planet Fitness for a full work out, I would want to go to a location with more equipment so I don't have to wait on others for the machines I like.
