Stopped in while waiting for an oil change at Ford, took advantage of their Lunch Special "Slice and a soda for $6.50". It's a small spot next to Holiday Gas Station with about 6 chairs to sit, more of a takeout / delivery spot. I saw a review of this restaurant on TikTok and knew I had to try it. It's next to a gas station- but some of the best foods I have ever enjoyed started out in the gas station. Pizza is crisp, hot, sauce is zesty, sausage and pepperoni complement the pizza- they do not over take it. The service was impeccable! Go here, order this, you will not be disappointed. There is a booth or two and a few counter stools available. Not a first date night place- but where you'd take someone you love after 5 years of marriage. They're back! They were in Hopkins for over 40 years but when their location was demolished for high density housing, I thought that was it. Looks like Minnetonka's loss is EP's gain as they have a new location in EP. We got the vegetable pizza - the Aussie. It is a thin crust pizza with mushrooms, olives, onions, celery, green peppers and mozzarella. Somehow ours came with pineapple too but no matter. Very good. We ordered the large size which is huge. We also ordered the cheezy garlic bread. It comes with a side of marinara / pizza sauce. Will order again! Chalet is located in strip mall next to a gas station. Last night as large angry plows were clearing 4 to 6 inches of snow from Eden Prairie streets, I ducked into Chalet Pizza for a large, double cheese, extra onions, and pepperoni pie. The wife and I needed something to combat cabin fever at home. Minnesotans know what I'm talking about. This was my third visit to to its new location in Eden Prairie. The setup at Chalet Pizza provides a front window with a cute table nook and a dining shelf that over looks the scenic gifts afforded by Holiday Gas pumps. Its not Rome, but it will do. The small small operation is the cleanest pizza shop I've ever seen. Chalet's pies are savory, fresh and prompt smiles that say "Yes, this IS what great pies are about." I recommend calling in your orders to avoid waiting at the shop. read more

We got pizza from Chalet this week and loved it. The pizza is thin crust- and I mean real thin crust like you would get in New York. We got a large pepperoni and sausage and loved every bite! Just a background on me- I don't typically like pizza much but I actually had 3 slices. My husband is an avid pizza fan so we try a lot of pizza and I am glad he made me try this one. I stopped here just the other day, and have to say that this place, the people, and pizza is just amazing. When I walked in and ordered I was told it would take about 15 minutes to get my food. It was definitely worth the wait, since the taco-style pizza seemed about to pop and sizzle as it came out of the oven. Waiting for a thin crust small pizza that was hand made was worth it. I would wait a little longer to get a pizza that seemed to pop as I was eating it at home. Not a good experience. Placed an order for 2 large speciality pizzas that had a couple customizations and bread sticks- total was $57 after we left a 15% tip on a pick up order. When I was in Chalet last time I noted their lunch special of a personal pepperoni pizza and a can of pop for $5 and stored that in my memory banks. Today I stopped in to give the deal a try. It was a quick and painless ordering process and kudos for the $5 price tag includes the tax - a flat fiver for lunch! The extra dollar bill I had in hand dropped easily into the tip jar. The pizza and soda were brought out to the table I grabbed in no time at all. The super thin crust means this pizza does not take long in the oven. Nice tangy tomato sauce, adequate but not over board amount of cheese and a decent amount of pepperoni with a dusting of oregano for extra flavor. It was a quick lunch too. First of all, nowhere on the menu / website does it say that they only accept cash or (local) checks. So we call in an order for pick up, only to get there to find out they do not take credit cards. But don't worry, they will keep our pizza on top of the oven while we drive to the gas station down the street to use the ATM. We finally get our pizza which is of course cold when we get it home. Fantastic thin crust pizza. I ordered a Canadian bacon pineapple and jalapeño pizza for carry out and it was ready on time and hot. It was perfectly cooked. The crust was nice and crunchy. My favorite version is Canadian Bacon, Green Olives, and Mushrooms. A consistently solid option-but don't ask for double anything because it doesn't actually change the amount of the toppings that they put on the pie. Bonus: I always get my pizza before the time that the person at the restaurant says (which to me is a bonus because I am usually starving when I order my pizza). I was at a friend's house in the Hopkins area and was craving pizza. I don't like big chains so I chose Chalet. I was disappointed. First off they have paper thin crust.($$$ saved) It drooped like a wet noodle when you picked up a piece. Now I love thin crust but not this thin. I also thought cheddar was a strange choice for cheese, but I was open. Well it didn't help the experience. There are much better choices. The sauce was basically tomato sauce.($$$ saved) It had virtually no spice. The amount of the toppings was skimpy as well.($$$ saved) It seemed like they were more interested in making a low cost pizza without a low cost price.($14.75 charged for a medium) I don't know how others think this is 5 stars. read more

This was THE place to go for pizza in the 1970's and it's still top of my list for local pizza. I like supporting local businesses, and the fact that Chalet has survived all these years with competition from countless pizza chains says a lot. Finally pushed far enough to contribute a "review" on Yelp, and it's to warn anyone against patronizing this joint. The sad part is the pizza is good. The bad part is that you may never get it. I gave them so many chances, but there's only so many messed up orders, lack of payment options, and missed pizzas that a guy can take. Tonite, they very quickly took our phone order, and told us it would be ready in 20 mins. 30 mins later, I drove over with the kids, having stopped at the ATM first becus they don't take cash, to pick up the pizza. There were no back up plans in place! Sadly, we needed one, because when I announced what I was there for, some kid in the back said, "Large Pepperoni, right?" and turned to the other clueless dude, and said "Uh oh." They said they would have to start from scratch, but it'd be awhile cuz they were busy. I did not want to make dinner. The kids did not want anything but pizza. We were all hungry.
