Wyndham Gardens Arlington is now the Hotel Arlington. It is now an INDEPENDENT hotel with new…read moreowners and management. FORGET the old reviews, under the new owners this is a quiet gem tucked away in an unlikely spot - next to a storage rental place, but that is a plus - it is off the busy road and nice and quiet. The Arlington is beautiful. Unlike similarly-priced hotels like the Hilton Express (and the super-crappy LaQuinta) in Marysville, this a luxurious, gorgeous hotel, with dark wood paneling and brass fittings, a beautiful entry in the middle of two water feature coy ponds, a relaxing and well-decorated lounge, and really good management, under General Manager, Lema. Use your GPS to find the turn - if you pass a storage unit business you just missed it. It is part of a larger building with offices first, keep going about 50 feet and you will be in the drop off area. We good a King bed corner room, and the first thing that made me happy -well, the second, because the first was true concierge check-in by Lema) were the TWO marble-topped vanities, both with hair dryers! One in the room, and one in the roomy bathroom. Well lit, and no fighting for a mirror when you are getting ready to go to an event, like a concert at Tulalip. (BTW there is a shuttle to the casino and back, up to 2 a.m.) The squeaky-clean room had all the amenities - A modern Visio TV screen, an upholstered chair to relax in with a standing linen lamp to read and relax by, a desk (marble top) and a dresser (I hate not having a dresser, even for an overnight stay) a mini fridge and easy to use coffee maker/water heater. The creamy taupe shades made a lovely ambient light, the bed was comfy, with plenty of pillows and extra bedding in a drawer; closet had a double mirror, ironing board and iron, and the hotel soaps were nice. Everything in the room worked. Plenty of water pressure, the switches and plug-ins, the remote, and heating and cooling. That seems like it should be a given, but so many badly run hotels do so poorly checking these things. I should note that we did not have a reservation, so they didn't check it last-minute, it was ready. I DO recommend reservations though, this sweetheart hotel won't be a secret long. The pool was open and clean, with a whirlpool next to it. Not huge, but not crowded with clean dressing rooms and towels. I went down in the morning and splashed around with some kids that were there with their folks, which was fun. The exercise room was not elaborate, but again clean and the machines worked. The breakfast fare was pretty standard but plenty of choices - coffee, tea, pastrys, fruit, four kinds of cereal, yogurt... The hot breakfast offered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage -all well cooked and warm little pancakes and syrup...I don't remember everything except that the woman running it was as nice and accomodating as she could be, and kept things stocked. If you are going to Marysville and want a way nicer than standard cookie cutter hotel experience, this is the place. Note: Don't mix it up with the Arlington Motel, and you might find old reviews under Wyndam Gardens. Ignore those. But don't tell everybody - you will want a room available if you decide on a last minute night out at the Casino. BTW the restaurant is not open, and probably won't be, which is fine. It is hard to keep a restaurant going, but you may see old reviews that talk about it. It helps keep the rooms affordable.

Thrilled with my experience at Hotel Arlington from start to finish! I can't do this place justice…read morewith words. Their new status as a private company has led the former Wyndham gardens to scale back on some of its amenities (restaurant & lounge), but this is not an issue in an area where restaurants and retail are plentiful. This place exceed my expectations on the things that matter, like the personnel being personable and an absolutely delicious breakfast. What a great place!! Beautiful! Clean! Pool and hot tub!!!!! Even the soap is good here....that never happens!!! I am blown away by the value and enjoyment of our stay at Hotel Arlington. Bring your own hair dryer

This maybe be an available space for additional guests for events/retreats who would like a lower cost option or hostel like shared space. There is a theater room, living room with large chess set and a game room. The upstairs has many specialty rooms as well as a ball room. The balconies alone are elegant. The base floor has a kitchen, study, multiple rooms, walk in closets, large communal space and the dining room The decor is fairly what you would expect of a castle on the upper floors, and the basement is definitely more of a hostel/vacation rental vibe. what would I change? I would make all of the spaces be as luxurious decorated as the other floors to match. That way all guest get the castle experience. Maybe put extra work into landscaping. Otherwise it is really a lovely space for events and vacations.

Other than that it was fairly fun and different but because of the WiFi issue we won't return.

Equipped with a Bluetooth speaker to complete the mood! Service was friendly as they were still working out details of this new feature. There were a couple times when we needed more wine or wanted to order more food and there were longer checkin gaps. With the reservation time being limited, we hoped for more frequent checkins. Overall fun time, wish we could've stayed a bit longer but moved our party into the tasting room after. Fun way to pass a winter afternoon!

Wine can be purchased by the glass or the bottle. Water is self-serve at the counter. Food items are light, ranging from cheese starters, salads and pizzas. During our visit we shared a few different bottles of wine, each of us favoring different blends. The White Blend bottle for $24 was a favorite for the couple ladies that preferred sweeter wine. We shared the Beet Salad for $16: Arugula, roasted beets, goat cheese, pickled red onions, pistachios and balsamic vinaigrette. We shared the Baked Brie for $16: Fig & Hazelnuts served with focaccia bread & crackers. We shared the Don't Go Bacon My Heart Pizza for $20: Olive oil, mozzarella blue cheese, pear, bacon, honey drizzle and rosemary. Staff was friendly. Overall, Bertelsen Winery was a great choice for all of us ladies to catch-up over some wine and light lunch. I look forward to attending future events outdoors.

I want to reach out to anyone that is thinking about going to Angel Of The Winds Casino…read more I recently had a major loss of approximately $20,000 at this casino and part of the reason that I lost the 20,000 was because the casino did not provide fair gambling to me as the player. I was threatened, intimidated, insulted, and verbally harassed by another player at the Baccarat table. Apparently, it was OK with Angel Of The Winds Casino because no security was called and the player was allowed to continue playing. This happened back in September 14 the weekend of my wife's birthday. I have been trying to get them to make this right and give me my money back because what they did was not following their own rules. I have had multiple meetings with the Stillaguamish tribal gaming commission, and they have decided that everything was legal that happened while I was gambling. What they don't know, is that giving money to another player a $500 bet is not accurate reporting and the Stillaguamish gaming commission is responsible for accurate reporting. Angel of the Winds has nice staff working there but the upper management seems to be corrupt. They don't want to give you there contact information and they lie to you about having a meeting to discuss the issues that I have. I have no faith in the Gaming Commission there either. The person I have been dealing with on this is not aware that his job is to make sure that customers get a fair gaming experience. He told me his job is to help protect the casino and players. His job is to make sure that there is fair play to all the players, not to cover for the casino screwing over individuals. I will post more on this but hopefully for now it will help people to realize that you need to be very careful if you decide to play at this establishment!

UNBELIEVABLE from start to finish!!!! My daughter and her fiance are low-key people (not "low-key"…read morelike my students misuse it; the old-fashioned low-key). They searched and searched for a place that matched their vibe and their pocketbook. And even though Sadie Lake was almost two hours from their home, it proved to be the perfect choice (well, except for the local dinosaur infestation). From Day 1, they' were in love with DeeDee. She offered lots of items for free that couples usually have to pay to rent or buy. Everything was all listed on her website so even those of us in other states could peruse. The location is so beautiful and the premises really felt quaint and homey, not formal and stuffy like some venues. And then there were things that no other venue offered, like the boat on the lake for some fantastic photos! I think the bonus was that it was probably the least expensive place they looked at. Deedee's not in it to make bank; she does it because she has a beautiful place that she wants others to enjoy on their special day. As the mother-of-the-bride, I'm not surprised that I thought it was the second best wedding I've been to (don't I have to pick my own as #1), but soooo many guests told me they felt the same way. I can't imagine a reason why you wouldn't pick this location!!
