My experience here was absolutely delightful! I could book my session online, which was wonderfully convenient, and when I got there, the sweet owner of the shop had it organized so that one whole wall was $1000 and up, and one whole wall was everything under $1000. Since I had a small budget, that immediately helped me focus on one wall and not tantalize myself with the ones I couldn't afford. She asked me a bunch of initial questions about what I was looking for, what I thought I liked and what I definitely didn't want, and used all that info to pull out several dresses that were very close! The try-on process was comfortable, not invasive, but incredibly informative every step of the way. And I found my dress here! Not only THAT, but Leslie knew I wasn't a fan of sparkles, glitter, and sequins, and this dress had some on the bodice, and she offered to spend an hour picking them off for no extra charge!! read more

My mother and I walked into Astraea Bridal with little to no expectations. I was getting married in less than a month and was looking to possibly replace this nothing-special, $50 white swing dress I had bought online. I knew if I was going to buy something it had to be at a reasonable price (for me that was no more than $500) and I was really open to styles and cuts. I would try on anything and did not have a specific vision. And let me tell you, the stars must have been aligned that day! First off, I've worked with both of the owners now and both ladies are AMAZING! They are so knowledgable, experienced, and friendly. They make the whole experience so much fun! The end result is that I found a dress in my size, fit perfectly, not a single alteration needed, it perfectly matched my mother's veil that I wanted to wear, and they worked with me on a price that fit my budget. I cannot believe that I walked out of there with a wedding dress that was ready to wear the very next day! The owner said that happens *maybe* 1 in 100 brides and probably not even that often. This is a lovely bridal shop with wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable staff! This was my first time trying on dresses and it was the perfect experience! The dresses shown to me were all in my general price range. Megan was super awesome! She did not try to convince me to like anything I didn't like and wanted my honest opinion of the dresses I tried on so she could better serve me by honing in to what I was drawn to. By the end of my appointment, I wasn't ready to commit to any of the dresses I tried on and there was absolutely no pressure by her to buy anything as she knew this was my first ever dress appointment! She saved my top two dresses in my file with the store so if I wanted to come back for those two, I could! Although I didn't end up getting my dress here (decided to fix up my mother's dress), I would highly recommend this shop and it's staff! read more

I stopped in this wonderful shop on a whim with one of my girlfriends, and it was the Best decision ever. I went to 4 other shops before and afterwards, and none of them compared to the family-like comfort that was shown to us at Astraea Bridal. I found my wedding dress here, and it was such an easy, wonderful experience. When you walk into the shop it is just like walking into a friends home (a fancy friend) and picking a dress with your family. I honestly can't say enough about this shop. She pulled all gorgeous dresses within my price range and took the time to talk about alterations that could be made while I tried each one on. She made me feel so special and beautiful! Stop by to check out their wedding dresses. Trying to buy local. Girls were extremely kind. Surprisingly we found a dress that was perfect, just needed some very minor adjustments. Paid for it then returned several months later for final fitting. Dress was only partially altered. Sewing was messy and instead of letting out the top 1" they took it in 1". Not able to readjust due to silk fabric and instead they felt it was fine. It was not fine. So now after paying for it we are stuck because of their no return policy. Not a happy customer. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Just picked up the dress from the seamstress, the most postive thing i can is it was put in a bag. read more

I walked into Astraea Bridal very nervous because I had no idea what kind of dress I like. I honestly felt like there was nothing out there for me because "I'm not at my goal weight". After talking with Laura, she pulled a few options to begin with. Laura was so fun, nice, and had a great personality. She has the ability to lift you up while respecting your interests at the same time as giving her honest feedback. The appointment flowed very well, and the store was super clean and organized. I LOVE the dress that I got from them and it was right in my price range. I also feel very well informed on alterations and how much to expect to pay. I had a great experience buying a dress from Astraea Bridal last fall! I went in and Laura helped me for a full 4 hour and then another 2+ hour session about a week later - I probably tried on more than 20 dresses, and was able to get a good feel for what styles I liked and didn't like (and it was fun!). She was very patient with me (I came in to this with absolutely no idea of what I wanted) and had good suggestions and questions to help me figure out what would work well. I felt like she really listened to what I wanted and what my constraints / thoughts about each dress were. She also helped keep me on track - she kept a running favorites rack and had me compare similar dresses to narrow things down as I went! They organize the store in half by budget, so you can choose to only look at the less than 700 side if you are on a lower budget, which is really helpful. My mom came with me and we both just loved the feel of the shop too, it was beautiful which I don't always prioritize but was nice for a special experience. Especially during COVID, it was great to be at a nice consignment store like this, because there were so many dress styles to try out available under one roof. read more

Kristen's qualifications DID NOT meet my expectations. I would NOT recommend going to her for alterations. I went in for a bustle and an opinion on a hem. After putting my dress on she recommended we do a hem. Yes, she worked with my budget. However, after telling me the sides needed to be taken it and I would need to spend $120 to get that done because we would have to cut fabric out I didn't want to spend the $200 on the hem. Trusting that she knew what she was doing I went with her opinion. She also offered a sweetheart neckline for $40. I agreed to that. Going in for my second fitting she had where she recommended my to waist being taken in and showed me where she can take the neckline down. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she'd do it. We both looked and the length on the bottom and AGREED it was too short. She made a note on my invoice to add AMAP back. When I went to pick up my dress is was still short and extremely tight. My zipper actually popped open. She said it was suppose to fit like that. I had a $1359 beautiful Oleg Cassini ball gown with a drop waist and it ended up sitting on top of my hips so it was no longer flattering. My "sweetheart" neckline was a V. It looked nothing like my original dress. She saw my look of disappointment and sighed and told me I couldn't have everything I wanted with that dress. She charged me before the alterations. I later asked that she fix the length and she said she would for an additional charge. I spent a few weeks getting opinions for other alterations and found everything that was done would need to be reversed also, I needed to add 7 inches on the bottom. I went in asking for a refund so I could buy another dress or try to save it and she said no. She was extremely rude and was rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing. I asked for my fabric back and she gave me the bottom of my dress. I asked for the part she had to take out of the top and she said she didn't cut anything out and it was all there. Which is funny because the reason I had to pay the $120 was cause she said she had to cut it... After talking to the owner she said she couldn't help me and Kristen's first offer was $150. I told her no and she again had her owner call me and tell me my final offer is $227. She had no remorse and cared more about her paycheck then what should be one of the best days of my life My dress is ruined and I had to buy another one. She is not in this for the bridal experience and should not be at a costumer service job. All I wanted was my money back and I would leave it alone. And now I am out $1700 and a dress. read more
