This wash has the best service of any car wash I've ever been at. Friendly to say the least. Congrats to management!

I wanted to share a positive personal experience we had with the Midas in Solon, Ohio. We had been…read morethere a couple of times to fix our Honda Civic in the past 6-9 months. The first time my muffler went out and they were able to get me in and help the very day after it happened. Several months later, as I started my car and began to drive to work, it began making funny noises. I didn't even call, just drove straight to Midas. No appointment, but they were understanding and willing to take a look at it while I left and went to work for the day. Again, they were able to fix it by the end of the next day (there was a leak in the power steering). Both fixes were minimal, painless, and very reasonably priced. They were quick, kind, and knowledgeable. As if this wasn't enough to make me want to come back...fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. On my way to work, my car (a manual), suddenly would not go into gear as I tried to shift. I coasted into a parking lot, called roadside assistance, and again made a call to Midas explaining my situation. My biggest fear was confirmed just under an hour after the car was towed to Midas...the clutch had given up and would need to be replaced. This was a 2007 Honda Civic with the original clutch (yes...Hondas are wonderful and the original clutch lasted 13 years!). Because the cost was going to be about what the car was worth even with a working clutch, we needed some time to think about our options. We had been debating getting a new car for some time so that thought came into play. Midas didn't have to be kind and give us time to think. They could have said, "not our problem, have your car towed somewhere else, we don't want it here." Instead, Kyle at Midas WAS kind and did give us the time we needed to make the best decision for us. I kept in contact each day to let him know what we were thinking our plans would be and each time he said, "it's okay, just let us know what you end up deciding." In the end we did end up getting a new vehicle and sold the Civic to a company that would come and tow it away. When we went to clean it out and spoke to Kyle once more his exact words were, "we are in the business, not just to make money, but to make sure that each customer is doing the best and right thing for them at the time. We support you as our customer and if this was the best thing for you then we are happy we were able to help in making that decision a little easier with not having to worry about what to do with the Civic in the mean time." Bottom line: Kyle and the team in Solon Ohio truly care about their customers. And as much as we don't necessarily want to see them often because that would mean something is wrong with one of our vehicles, you can guarantee that if something does happen, Midas in Solon will be our very first call/visit to figure out what is going on. THANK YOU ALL...we appreciate you and your wonderful service!

I took my sons car to these people 3 years ago. I told them do anything and everything to the car…read moreto make it safe and serviced for my son who will be traveling to California with it. They replaced all 4 shocks, timing belt, tires, oil change, and brake pads and rotors. Two days later our son followed us with his car for the 2000 mile trip. The 2nd day on the road my son complained of a bad vibration up front. We were in the middle of nowhere. I pushed on the car and noticed it clunked. We nursed the car to a truck stop and the mechanic on duty determined that the brand new strut bolts were NEVER TIGHTENED on top and had started coming loose. This shook the car badly enough he had lost a hub cap. Bolts torqued down...we paid up and went on our way. I drove his car this time ...noticed a VIBRATION from the front. At the next stop we determined our brand new tires were OUT OF ROUND...ALL OF THEM! A call from Oklahoma to Auburn revealed what he had represented as tires from a wreck that were barely used were in fact RECALLED TIRES. The owner told us to return them for a refund...when we hauled them all the way back from Ca.! When I spent 2 hours getting a quote to ship them back rather than haul in our car because they smelled toxic in a heated car, so the owner said throw them away and he'd pay us when we got back. He did refund the tire money, but nothing for the risk of continuing to Ca. from Ok on them and the time lost and aggravation. Skip ahead 3 years...There are no potholes or bumps in roads in Ca...but somehow all the new struts are worn out and caused the expensive replacement tires we bought out there to be ruined from cupping.( caused by lack of down pressure from the strut ). This was brought to his attention by the shop that has just repaired everything....again. My son brought the car in because the front brake on one side was GRINDING. It turns out one side was normal brake wear and the other side was trashed...metal on metal. My son drives 15 minutes to work each day. He does not hot rod and drives very defensively. He is not a car mechanic but knows how to check tire pressure and oil. He was defenseless against the continuing failures that has just cost him $2000.00 in repairs...all which should have lasted a long time out there. Two years ago I bought a used lawn tractor from one of their employees from their front door. The engine ended up having a problem with the carburetor linkage and governor that controls engine speed. I bit the bullet and took it to a lawnmower repair mechanic and after he couldn't figure it out to a john deere dealer ..who said it's a complicated problem and will cost hundreds more to try and fix it. I just threw away $200 trying to get it to run right. Today I found out this Auburn shop also had employed a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER as a mechanic recently. We discovered this on the local sheriff website. This is a side note for everyone. I AM LIVID!!! I can live with the $1100 loss on the mower. 3 years after the car work I doubt there's any recourse for my son....except for us to let you know what happened to my son and the continued problems and expense he's endured as a result of trusting these people. DON'T BRING YOUR CAR HERE AND DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE. You'll likely be sorry.
