This wash has the best service of any car wash I've ever been at. Friendly to say the least. Congrats to management!

Waterway Carwash - Dirt

Waterway Carwash

I use Waterway mainly in the winter to get salt underneath washed off. When winters over I do a…read morethorough clean inside & out. So far my experience has been good. I do wish it was so costly. When it first opened I signed up for weekly washes. But had to stop because of the cost. My experience there has always been good.

Went back today (3/22/26) after a long break from using this place due to consistently poor job…read morecompared to price. Seems to actually have gotten worse. Paid $45 for "The Whole Thing" which, surprise! Doesn't include the whole thing. Had to pay $10 more to have mats washed and hatch area vacuumed, neither of which actually got done to any real extent (see photos). I sat for 25 minutes watching the guy sitting sideways out my car doing nothing or heaven knows what. This was after being directed to leave a line where the 2 guys were actually doing their job nicely. Anyhow, the things they don't do that I think are reasonable to expect; wipe door jams, of all hatches and doors, vacuum areas specifically paid for, clean the windows, clean the dash and the instrument cluster, wash the floor mats that you pay extra to have washed, wipe down the car from remaining wet after the auto wash, wipe headlights, tail lights, and side view mirrors, clean wheels. I'll throw a couple pics in. About the best I can say is the wash got rid of some built up grime from the weather. The service provided is crap. I think it must be because in that areas they only cater to people who drive very expensive cars. I just drive a Mazda so my car is probably half the value of the average customer and doesn't warrant any real care in their minds. About the best I can say is at the end of the day it's just car wash. I'll get it cleaned up somewhere else and I wasted $55.00 and tax knowing after years of avoiding the place, it was likely to disappoint.

We went through the Shell carwash and nothing happened. No Soap, no cloth strips going back and…read moreforth to wash the car, no blow dryer at the end, only the spinning brushes rotating without soap or water. Once the conveyor pulled us to the end, my fiancé went into the store area to explain this to the clerk. "Jerry" immediately copped an attitude and asked if we just drove through the carwash at regular speed. How nuts is that? The answer, by the way, was no. All we wanted was another carwash ticket so we could get all of the salt off of our car. We were kind of upset for a couple of reasons: 1. We paid $8.00 for a carwash we never received, 2. This is the 2nd time this has happened in the last few weeks, 3. Having the brushes circulate on our car with no water, with salt build-up from a week of freezing weather and lots of snow, scratches the paint. A coworker finally intervened and gave us another ticket for a carwash (a lesser wash - $6.00). When we told him that this isn't the way to treat a longtime customer, we were told, "If you don't like it, don't come back." We have been going to this gas station for about 30 years, since moving to Bainbridge. We picked up a business card with the owner's name and number on it. However, the number for the owner is the same number for the store, so who is to say if we call there that we won't be talking to Jerry.

I buy beer in Ohio often. I have never been told this. So, I think there are three possibilities: 1. This store has asinine policies. 2. The clerk has as many brain cells as hair on his head and teeth in his head (not many). 3. I was with my friend and co-worker who is black (and whose ID he also refused to accept) and he is a racist. Any way you slice it, refusing to sell beer to a 34 year old with a valid ID is stupid.
