would not recommend this store to anyone, we bought a vacuum and tried to return it the very next day and was told no they wouldn't even consider an upgrade to another vacuum. Was told it was now used and they don't take back used products, even though they sell "refurbished " Dysons, he didn't know what refurbished meant! We also didn't get a chance to tell them we were originally in the store for a gas fireplace, good thing this happened before we spent more money there. Don't shop at this store! read more

I took my Tregar smoker in for repair two years ago for repair and the service was slow with poor repair communication and status etc. My mistake this year was to take it there again for repair...Two weeks to look at the unit and then parts on on back order due to C-19. The issue I have with these guys is the person that called me back, did not have or tried to get an ETA from the mfg. when calling back? I call the mfg myself to get the ETA...very poor service! read more

I ordered a patio heater and was initially told that the wait would be approximately 3 weeks to ship. By the 10 week point I had asked for an update on 4 separate occasions. Not once had the company reached out to me first with an update. At the 11 week point, the website reflected a 4 to 6 week wait for the heater I had ordered. I cancelled after the final update gave no firm date for delivery. Don't waste your time dealing with Chadwick's & Hack's. read more

Not only have I not received any updates as to when my order would arrive, but when I inquired about the order, the customer service I received was the worst I've ever gotten from someone named Gary Green. Awful, awful experience. Brought our KitchenAid mixer in May 2014 as the gear was stripped. They replaced and charged over $125, taking a couple of weeks to do it. The mixer was handed back to me covered in grease as well. Not a huge task to clean off when I got home, but would have been easy for them as well. In September we take it out for the 2nd time to use the pasta roller (by no means a strenuous task for this appliance) and the exact same gear stripped again. Called this morning fully expecting to be taken care of and was told they will charge us again to "fix" it. No thanks. I'll take it somewhere that understands the meaning of that verb. Avoid. Many honest, small appliance shops out there who understand customer service and how to earn repeat business and good word of mouth. read more

This service company will send a tech who doesn't know enough to repair and when he can't figure out why it doesn't work, rather than say it's defective, they will report to warranty company that's it's an "external factor". IN THEIR OPINION !! But how can they know the external factor was The cause when they don't check those external factors?? So it's BS. Then the owner will say, but the warranty decides if they will cover your warranty!! He's an idiot and they try to $@#% out of a warranty replacement.. maybe he thinks he will get my business of buying the replacement ?? NOT! I took my microwave oven into be repaired for three thongs - no power - turntable won't revolve - light doesn't turn on Was told it shpuld take a week Needless to say I called 6 weeks in a row and was told it was benning in various states of repair from Disassebled Waiting for parts Being tested Finally I walkeds into the store and idemanded it back Took them 30 minutesd to find it They wanted $ 230 to release it I got it home and while it does cook The turn-table does turn but the light does not work I called to complain and their statement was "It worked when it left here' So you cannot trust or rely on them for repairs Incompetent in repairs Failure in Costmer relationship Failure in taking accountability and responsibility for employees actiopns No wonder the previous owner sold and their management was poor and they were incompetent Good luck to the new owner as they have a challenge to win back clients They could have this review rescinded and gain back customers by simplying taking back my microwave and fixing it properly in an attempt to build up good will and good faith - which I extended to them and got taken advantage from. The new owner could take the costs of satisfying me from what he owes the old owner if he used his rights and terms of his purchase agreement after speaking to his lawyer as there is usually good will that the new owner bought in purchasing the business so there argument is the goodwill had a diminished value and to repair it it cost the remedy of my complaint. This has been the worst experience in trying to buy new product. Bought a new hover vacuum, 300 + dollars not a lower brand model. So far so good.. Went home used it and the brushes kept shutting off. Returned it to Cadwicks expecting that they would give me one that works and send that one back to hover. Well no they are going to repair it so this is going to take 2 week so beware this is the way it works there buy new product if it is not working you are going to be inconvenienced as they try to repair it I would understand this if it was refurbed or buying it as. NO THIS IS FOR BRAND NEW PRODUCT. So the 2 weeks pass they do not even call me, waited 1 more week still had not heard from them call them. They tell me it is still not ready. Waiting on a part well went today no one has called me to date and it is stll not ready now into 5 or 6 weeks on the brand new vacuum I purchased and still in the place I bought it from collecting dust because it had a defect and the consumer is expected to pay for this. We bought a dishwasher and the repair warranty was handled by Chadwick's. The repair tech came in and uninstalled our dishwasher and when finished with assessment they left and our dishwasher wasn't level and the tech pocketed two screws so the dishwasher is no longer attached to the counter. The dishwasher was usable before the tech came in and now we are left with our dishwasher unusable. Also said it would take 48 hours to submit repair quote and it is now 6 days later and report still not submitted. Don't recommend this company and beware of techs when they come to asses your appliances! read more

I brought my uncharging battery pack into this store for a replacement. my battery was not tested for an issue and a charger was not hooked up to see if this was an issue. i purchased a new battery pack. i returned home with a new battery and attempted to charge it but it did not charge, the problem had to be the charger. i brought back the item to the store for a refund. according to the clerk and to manager mr. green (in a response to a review i had submitted earlier), i had self diagnosed the problem by bringing my battery pack to the store for replacement. mr. green, (via a response to an earlier review), advised me that store policy was posted in different areas in the store advising customers that electrical items that are installed were subject to a no return policy. i attempted to make my point that a battery pack did not require installation but merely a simple attachment to a charger. deaf ears. since, according to mr. green and the store clerk, that this item was an installable item i would not be able to return it. i asked for a store credit an was told by the clerk that all (5 by her count) lines were busy that i would have to wait for a free sales rep. at this time, feeling like i had committed a crime, left the store and vowed never to return and that they could keep my money, $114, as this was a lesson learned about dealing with chadwicks and hacks. needless to say on a scale of 1 to 10 i would give this store a 0 score, first of all for not diagnosing my problem as mr. green had assured me in a letter that was somewhat standard procedure, and for the clerk whom i dealt with advised me that i had self diagnosed and the part was an installable item, and i, the customer, feel like i had perpetrated some sort of crime in wanting to return an item that i have no use for. i will find a store that treat its customers with respect, unlike chadwicks and hacks. read more
