Called NYC Fireplaces and spoke to Stephanie who was extremely polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The unit was $2000 less than it would have been from the Bellmore store. NYC fireplaces installed the unit in a week and a half and the install came out perfectly. Raphi meticulously cut the siding for the vent cap and the install came out perfectly. As seen in the attached image, Sal from NYC fireplaces has revoked even the smallest simplest gesture of customer service since I wrote a negative review! This man thinks his word is all that matters in this world and does not believe that actions speak louder than words! Turned out it was $12, two dollars cheaper, at Foley's, but I realized something else: Auto care, tools, and garden supplies are bread-and-butter to a hardware store, while they're just convenience items for a supermarket: stores like Foley's have to be well-stocked, and have knowledgeable staff who can answer questions. So now I will make Foley's my first choice for tools, because they know them best. But don't worry, supermarkets in Larchmont and Mamaroneck: If Foley's starts selling carrots and cauliflowers, I'll still buy them from you.

However, Tripodi's were also listed on the GE website as major suppliers of their products, so I went to their showroom located in Port Chester by Whole Foods and Staples. Tripodi's offered the most competitive prices of all, easily beating the prices at Home Depot & Lowe's. Additionally, they had the items I required in stock. They delivered the new units to my home quickly and removed the old units at no charge. They also offer installation services if required.
