Which is WAY less than the actual cost of the damage. We would've been fine with the simple refund because that could've been put towards to repair. DO NOT go to this shop. This shop is unprofessional, unreliable, and honestly incompetent when it comes to proper customer service. HIGHLY suggest finding a better shop than this one. You've been warned! Previously reviewed on google as well and the business responded by disregarding my response due to me not "being present when the service was performed". When in fact I was there at the time of the car pick up and shook the hand of the owner. They also took care of some minor body work on my 20-year-old project car, including providing accurate (and very fair) estimates for the bodywork part of the job (when I asked the cost of bodywork prep at other places, the answer was always some variant of "I dunno, we'll have to see"). Also I was impressed with how little lead time they needed before getting started - I went in to talk through the job and pick colors on a Saturday, and then was able to drop my car off for the wrap the following Wednesday! Other places needed a much longer lead time, anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. I needed to get the rear glass replaced and didn't have time to handle it before dropping the car off, but Cloaked was happy to let a mobile glass installer come to their site and take care of it after they had the car (also, shout-out to Magic Glass Repair for getting that done less than 24 hours after I called). For starters the previous owner turned off charging tax to clients and when the new owner realized he wasn't collecting tax he threatened to charge myself and the tinter to deduct it from our checks. I fixed the problem. And told the owner I didn't appreciate being threatened because of his lack of knowledge. Secondly, he's collecting tax on labor which is cheating clients. It's is NOT a retail business, it's a service. You don't pay tax on labor, secondly if you want to collect tax on tint you have to have an itemized receipt. Once I brought this up the new owner didn't care about what's right... he doesn't know tax laws. Please stay away from this location. Go to Round Rock or the Austin location where the ownership has a clue. If you've been to this location in the past month and paid money I would fight the charges. You have been taken advantage of.
