Small place but accommodating. Parked up the street. Entered into a small waiting room. The lady behind the window checked us in, then a gentleman came in and explained the rules. We had to silence our phones and make sure to buy 2 drinks each. We were a little late for the opener was performing. They sat us at the middle front table. I liked the way you light up the menu to get a waitress to come. We each had a tropical cocktail then a seltzer. Comedy was great. We were at the later show. At the end, we were talking to one of the comedians and the workers kept pushing us out which was a little rude. That's the reason for minus 1 star. The manager/ owner of this place Glen Martino was verbally and physically abusive and seems like he was on something. The comedians were fine but the service was horrible. There's been bad reviews in the past but he truly does not care about how he treats the people that spend money at his establishment. I wish I could leave a better review, but our experience at CG's was absolutely unacceptable. The manager/ owner Glen Martino completely mishandled a situation with my family while one of my family members was getting sick in the bathroom. Instead of showing concern for a guest's wellbeing, he assumed they were dining and dashing, yelling curse words and slurs in the process at my female family members. This lack of professionalism not only disrupted the show completely and then throwing the rest of us out even though they had our cards for the bill during this whole process. To make matters worse, the manager physically assaulted my brother during the commotion which stopped the show in front of the rest of the guests. This was supposed to be a fun family night out, but it turned into a nightmare because of the manager's (Glen Martino's) hot-headed and rude behavior. It's shocking that someone like this is allowed to run a business. I highly recommend avoiding CG's Comedy Club. Save your money and spend it somewhere that values and respects its guests. Glen Martino should be ashamed of his behavior, and honestly, he should be fired if he could be. This was hands down the worst experience we've ever had at any venue. 0 stars if possible would not recommend. read more

Great little club in the burbs! Free easy parking, comfortable room, all seats great, each couple get their own table ( or put tables together for larger groups) , 2 drinks minimum but drinks are strong and $4 to $9! And comics were fantastic! read more

Whyyyyy in the world are there only eight reviews here?! Go go go! A good friend of mine suggested a girls night out and found CG's - admittedly, our hopes weren't high, due to the limited Yelp reviews. For the price point ($20 + 2 drinks at the show), we figured, worth a shot! It FAR exceeded expectations! Glenn is the owner, and is extremely hands on. We had a group of four attending, and wanted to ensure we sat together. We called and gave the names of the girls, and come Friday morning, Glenn realized that one of our party members hadn't purchased her tickets yet. He personally called us back to let us know that tickets were limited, and to get her ticket ASAP. Talk about hospitality. But it didn't stop there! The night of the show, we had another friend become available and want to attend - unfortunately, tickets were sold out. We called and called, but it was 20 minutes to doors open, and we figured we were SOL. Right as doors opened (as we were about to leave), Glenn called us, explaining that it was likely there'd be a cancellation, but explained he couldn't guarantee anything. He was extremely respectful and understanding. Our friend decided to give it a go, and when we arrived, who was at the door - but Glenn! Once he realized who we were, he said he'd make it work regardless, and found us an extra chair. He catered to our party so well, and was so genuinely sweet. Our server was fantastic and attentive, and drinks came out quickly. All their service was great. We ordered mixed drinks and the pours were generous! The shows themselves were also laugh-so-hard-you're-crying funny! There were two opening acts and then the headliner, which was another welcome surprise, as we didn't realize there'd be additional acts. This is a small, intimate venue so you'll be close to your neighbors, but we absolutely loved the show and every employee we dealt with. Can't wait to recommend this to friends and return! read more

The quality of people managing is disappointing. Perhaps the venue and workers do not identify as "feminists" since the treatment of women as customers was really upsetting. I hope they are able to find respectful personnel to run the shows in the future. read more

We had a great time at CG's Comedy Club. Tommy Stevens opened and was great. The main act was Dr Bill Miller. He was hilarious. I cannot recommend seeing him enough. I hope he will be back again. We would definitely go again. It was a fun night out! read more

Horrible experience. They kicked us out for whispering too much.. instead of just telling us to stop whispering. Also screamed and swore at me when I asked why I was being asked to leave. The guy that manages this place is trash. He wouldn't speak to me only to my husband and made comments like 'tell your girl..' the only time he spoke to me was to tell me I'm a dumb b****. The owner of this place is a complete jerk. He's a total control freak. We went to a show with another couple (4 of us) and we moved our tables closer to each other to have a couple drinks and talk before the show since it was 45 minutes before the show. Others around us did the same thing. He came to us a moved the table and made us all face one direction. He said he was going to have the other tables move too closer to the show. I walked out to talk to him and tell him I didn't understand why he just had us move at that time and that if we can't have conversation it makes me not want to come back. He told me we didn't have to be there for that show either and got heated with me which got me upset. It was ridiculous and unnecessary. I understand needing room for the servers but not making us move our seats and face a certain direction. He went in to tell us to leave and that he wouldn't refund the tickets. Worst experience ever. We had a great time. Headliner was Matt Sadler who rocked. The two comedians who opened for him were also very entertaining. The space is nice and a parking lot not far away. The only downside is we had a horrid waitress. Besides the fact she was rude and had no personality she messed up the bills. I tried to get her attention several times and she would look right at me and walk by. One of the managers saw we were upset and handled the issue. However because of her lack of service I missed a good 10 minutes of the end of Matt's set. He was so good. The manager did stop me on the way out and apologized again -so no complaints about management. We are definitely going back there again!!! Lots a grest laughs!! read more

Really nice to have a comedy club in the SW Suburbs. Drink and admission prices were reasonable. They haven't been open very long so the crowd was light. I give a ton of credit to the comedians who had to perform in front of an audience of 12. They did a great job. Would totally recommend CG's for a night out and a few laughs. read more
