The immersive experience into the evolution of Sun Studios & the birthplace of Rock n' Roll did not disappoint. Our group included 4 kids ages 6-11 & 10 adults ages 30's to late 70's. Everyone had a great time. I was the only one with prior knowledge of Sun & its legacy, but everyone learned something new. The actors/ musicians playing Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins & Johnny Cash were amazing (and a few were even understudies). The guy who played Sam Phillips was brilliant. Everything about it was well done & I highly recommend it. Theater is nice & right by River. This play was very limited seating(100 or less people). Parking garage is right next door (they beware the parking spots are very tight for SUVs!).

The theater itself is intimate, with seating on three sides of the stage (reminded me of the one at the Watertower in Chicago); actors often enter/exit through the audience, which gives an "up-close-and-personal" feel, and they were very creative with the moveable sets and lighting. The acting was great! Even secondary characters were standouts (particularly Corny Collins, Mrs. Von Tussle and Motormouth Maybelle), but Tracy, her parents and the rest of the gang were all endearing and enjoyable to watch. Overall, for a quality performance without going far from home, BrightSide is a solid choice for a musical matinee!

The costumes, set, talent and choreography were much better than I anticipated for a community theatre. A nice surprise because previous to the show, I was thinking the $27 tickets were outrageous. But when the lights went out and the show began, it didn't take long to see the I had misjudged this little theatre. While it is a very small venue, you can't discount the fact that if it's a production for a young one, they are getting a great taste of the theatre, while sitting closer than they will likely ever sit in a larger scale production. They are a fun group of people dedicated to bringing local theatre to the community - and with Paramount literally around the corner, they have good company in that endeavor. Tickets are inexpensive, there's not a bad seat in the house, and it's easy to get involved as a volunteer or an actor with 5-6 shows running throughout the year.

I had an amazing experience here from the time I spoke with June over the phone, upon entering the theater and experiencing phenomenal service from each and every person involved. This place provides amazing productions as well as service to the community no matter who you are. They took very good care of me and my friends when we attended a production here and I was very impressed with their attentiveness. This is a great community theater and I highly recommend attending a production here!

Short but sweet review - the experiences we've had at the Chicago Theater have always been…read moreconsistently good. This time was no different. My last review still stands. We arrived on time, were seated, and the concert started on time. The acoustics are great and our seats were in a good spot. We used their concession stand to get water and snacks - because we bought our tickets and paid for the concessions using a Chase card, we were given a big discount - nice. We'll continue to go to the Chicago theater when they have shows we want to see. It's a great theater and a wonderful experience.

I like its ornate décor, the stadium style seats set-up which offers good stage view, the acoustics, and the overall aesthetics of this venue which makes it an ideal place to watch live events. On my recent (late June 2026) visit to see The Human League, Soft Cell, and Alison Moyet for the Generations tour, overall, I had a good experience. There were couple of issues that we had such as lack of cool air circulation inside the auditorium (it was hot and sweaty) and a couple of people standing throughout the show to dance, blatantly blocking other peoples' view and not caring about being inconsiderate and uncourteous to people behind them to which the theatre ushers had no problem with it. Otherwise, I have not had issues at this venue. So, 4.5 stars but rounded up to five. I look forward to going back here.

BFAC hosted the Applause Talent dance competition on March 7, 2020. The venue was too small for…read morethis event. Parking was at 110% capacity with every possible curb utilized. The main seating area was packed. Yet, they were reluctant to open the balcony. To cap it all off, a dumpster behind the facility caught fire. People were sprinting out the doors to move their cars. The fire department came and put it out. But, then the HVAC system started to pull smoke into the auditorium. Everyone reeked of a fire smell. Just a terrible experience. My advice to BFAC - know your limits.

She did a very nice job, and seemed to be well received by her coworkers, and the audience. Finding Wheaton Drama was a little hard, and parking was a little tight, I didn't mind the walk. But the employees there were very friendly, and enthusiastic. Nothing there was overly priced or outrageous. I would go again. As I said before, the theater is a little on the smaller side and people in the front row tend to find themselves actually walking on the stage as they enter & exit which almost seems rather discourteous since they have lines painted on the floor. I just think that that's bad luck even though it's concrete and it's painted, I tried to make sure that I was definitely off the designated stage area because I think thats asking for bad karma. But in today's world , people are so full of themselves that there are no boundaries anymore.

There is main floor seating and one balcony. It is older, but there is plenty of leg room between rows, which is not true of many theaters. Soundtrack was taped, there was not a live orchestra, worked great. The big "however" is that there is exactly one bathroom on the first floor. I mean ONE, so you wait in line for the only toilet. We were told there were additional facilities on the balcony level, but we did not go up to see if they were actual mens and womens rooms. The facility is not handicapped accessable. It must have been grandfathered in to be able to continue to offer crowd attended events. Since this building is part of North Central College, it is located in a Naperville neighborhood. The only parking is street parking so it can be a short walk from your car to the Hall.

It is a nice intimate hall which has about 500 seats downstairs. There are essentially any bad seats as no one is too far from the stage. The band came down from the state and walked in the aisles and one row during the performance. It was awesome. It is in the walking distant from Naperville downtown. It could be tricky to find a parking around nearby. We parked about 4 blocks away on the side of the street.
