Staff are great and I pass the greeter a $5 for a front row seat at the stage. 2 item minimum and validated parking makes for an affordable evening. Easy online ordering with prices showing the total with all fees and tax. Easy check in with your name at the front desk, no tickets issued. Have never had anything but Coke and mixed nuts. I'm not sure why people give this place less than 5 stars, You're going for a night of laughs, not a dining experience or some kind of alcoholic gastro experience. It's laughs. And they deliver. We've been here a few times since November of 2025 and I even got to see Kevin Bozeman there (if you haven't caught his act, check him out: https://www.youtube.com/@TheeKevinBozeman). Sure, there's a two ITEM minimum. Get the pretzel and a drink, or two drinks, or whatever, I don't care what you get. You're there to laugh. The servers are attentive and the seating is comfortable (despite being a bit crammed in). The warm ups have been great. They are very interactive with lots of crowd work. They validate your parking and offer you two free passes if you can show them that you follow them on Instagram. So, free parking and free passes. Seems like a great night out to me. And you get to see some awesome comedy. My only detraction is that you're packed in like sardines, so go early and find a place where you won't feel too packed in. My wife and I attended Zanies show on June 27, 2026. We were hoping to have a night of laughter and relaxation. Unfortunately we did not experience neither one. The four comedians were all bad. The first was a lady that though humor was to talk with a foul mouth and say things about her personal hygiene that should not be shared even with your crudest friend. The second comedian did not have any real training or anything to laugh about. The third comedian was a liberal foul mouth who distorted may facts of civilized American society. The head liner was a DUD. Not only a DUD but tried to make you laugh by saying outrageous things in anticipation she would receive a shock applause. A few other couples walking out after the show shared the same opinion. I am wondering who screened these comedians before they were booked? It will be a while before I spend money at Zanies again. A friend won free tickets for Zanies Comedy Club and he asked us to join him. This was my first time going to a comedy club since college. We went on new material night, where comedians get to try it new material in front of a live audience. While not so of the jokes landed, there were still some very funny comedians. Overall, I enjoyed the jokes. There is a two item minimum at Zanies. My husband and I ordered a Blue Moon, Sprite, sausage pizza, and brownie. While there is no kitchen in the back and the food is clearly frozen and reheated, I've had worse food. It did full us up. The server we had was very nice and friendly. My only complaint was how close together the tables and seats were. There was no room to move your feet, which is difficult during an hour and a half show. An alright experience for me. Despite being located in the suburbs, the difficulty of navigating the traffic and parking around here kind of takes away from the normal advantages of catching a show outside of the city. The venue itself is pretty nice and clean, and getting into the show is a pretty fast and painless process, with good restroom facilities as well. The seating for the show itself is somewhat tight -- not the most crowded I've seen, but also not as generous as some other spots in terms of room. If you have a group of 4, it can be a bit challenging to fit all your food and drinks in on one table. The food isn't too different from what I've gotten from similar venues in the suburbs. It isn't the greatest out there, but it also isn't bad either. Portion sizes are okay for the price you're paying, though the pizza is fairly generous in size for its price and can be be easily split between two people. The show itself was alright -- with a mix of comedians, some that were more funny than others. The crowd is a little quieter than I've seen at some other spots, making for a more respectful group but also a bit less spontaneous improv. Overall, not a bad spot to enjoy some comedy in the Chicago suburbs. The venue is pretty relaxed and you can have some food and drinks to keep yourself full while you laugh. read more

Food was very mid, which I wasn't there for food per se but it is a 2 item minimum so you kinda need to order food. Parking was a little hectic and it was hard to find from the lot as a first timer. Love Zanies! I think the Rosemont location is better than the Chicago location. It's spacious & parking is easy. My only complaint is that the drinks are very expensive. $6 for water, $15 cocktails. The drinks aren't that good for the price- you aren't getting quality here. read more

Zanies Rosemont is always a lot of fun! They do bring in some really talented entertainers for special events. The parking garage at Rosemont Parkway is pretty confusing, you can easily miss where you need to turn in and end up circling. We had ordered our tickets online for a 9:15pm show. Upon entering, they had a couple of people scanning our tickets and verifying our IDs. Then they had a hostess direct you to your seat. They asked us if we were fine with sitting up front and we said sure since we didn't need a table... but didn't know we'd be literally up front - pretty much face to face with the comedians. So for us - it was definitely the best seats in the house! Although every seat is good because they don't have pillars blocking any views. There is a two item minimum so we got drinks. I ordered a Non Alcoholic option, but I think I tasted a small bit of alcohol in it. They gave us the bill after the show ended, which I was surprised - but I guess that's good because they don't interrupt the show that way. Glad that there is a nice suburban option for comedy shows. I think that stand up comedy is one of the hardest things to do, lots of respect for the up and coming and seasoned entertainers Zanies brings in! read more

This review is long overdue! My visit to Zanie's exceeded my expectations! It was a unique, fun outing, and I definitely see myself going back. There were a couple openers who were decently funny, and it was $35/ticket to see ... oh boy, I just blanked on the name of the comedian we saw. I can picture his face, and I know he just welcomed a baby to his family. It'll come to me... There's a 2 item minimum here. It worked out for us since we came for dinner, so K and I both got a personal pizza and a drink. The sausage pizza really hit the spot, even though it was nothing fancy. Show was so funny We attended the Ralph Barbosa show. He was great along with his crew. Location is easy to find! Ample parking in parking garage. Don't forget to validate at Zanies for free parking! It's a good size for a smaller show. They do offer table service for drinks and a few snacks. Service was the issue for us. They do NOT take Apple Pay! I was in the restroom and my daughter grabbed the wrong card. I had juts flown back from vacation and she grabbed my vacation card. We have the waitress the correct card ( my debit card) it is never declined. Chase has that feature. During egg show she comes back so loud and swiping the card several times. IT HAS A CHIP! If you wipe or if you attempt several times Chase Fraud will stop. SHE finally used the chip and Guess What! It went thru!!! First time ever at Zanies and at a comedy show in my life (well, performed by a well known comedian). Parking was actually easy and simple to do. Traffic can and will be an issue getting here. They validate your parking so you don't have to pay the $15 leaving. Security was really nice, friendly, courteous and efficient. Servers here were nice but didn't come along as frequent as you want. Prices are astronomically expensive but you have to order 2 items during the show. I did settle for the mocktails which were a great feature. Bathrooms were very clean. If I could give 0 stars I would! Me and my wife attended Amir K (a special event). There power went out so there was no electric or AC! It was 110 degrees and miserable! On the way out we were given 2 free tickets to come back to see a show, and now they're saying I can't use them for a special event!! Unbelievable! I spent $80 to see Amir K and it was an awful experience so you'd think they'd actually make it right and give a free ticket to another SPECIAL EVENT!!! My boyfriend and I came to Zanies for the first time to see Jeff Arcuri. The inside was smaller than expected, but that just made everything more intimate! They have a quick check in (just give them the names to your tickets) and seating is first come first serve (staff will offer you seat options as you walk inside). We were running a tad late so we got the last row of seats. It was fine though because you still get a good view of the stage. We tried out some of the snacks and drinks. Overall, not the worst and it's pretty much what you'd expect from a comedy club. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and efficient. We had a nice time filled with good laughs. We were able to meet Jeff and get pictures with him after the show too! Would definitely come back to Zanies in the future for another show! I found discount tickets for a comedy show so hubby and I went for a date night. Parking was easy in the lot at the complex and there are limited free spaces on the street as well. There's a two drink or two item minimum, and their drinks are good but pricey. We ordered a bottle of wine for $30 and that satisfied the minimum for us. They have a few snacks but no real food. We had the praline pecans which were really good, and we went for dinner at Bub City around the corner after the show. (There are several places to choose from in walking distance.) All 3 comedians we saw were hilarious, and in following Zanies on social media we were given two free tickets to go again! We had a great night and plan to go again soon. read more

It appears I'm on an every 2 years visit schedule here, but we'll have to see as last year, 2020, was interrupted by Covid.  I returned with an 'ol colleague to see headliner Rob Little, apparently an ex corporate type from IBM in his previous life, and someone both of us corporate types thought we would have some kinship to.  He was quite frenetic and it was hard to picture him in the corporate world, but boy was he hilarious.  My colleague had committed to his wife that as he never smiles, he wasn't going to change tonight.  But I only saw that he (and I) were cracking up the whole 45 minutes Rob was on.   Pro-tip:  don't get called out by Rob Little as it will be on the vicious but also hilarious side! As with my previous outing here, don't judge the show by the warm-up comics and there were the usual 2 by headcount and they were ok.  I have found that the headliners are simply a grade or two higher caliber. Our server was Jasmine, who was friendly, attentive, and timely.  Overall, 4 stars, the same rating as last time - a very fun time but on the slightly pricey side. read more

It's been a while since I've been to a comedy club. We came here because someone we have been following (April Macy) was going to be there. This is a more intimate place due to its size, which means your chances for getting picked on are very high as we experienced, but still a great time. The drinks were good, and the staff were awesome. Thank Brittany for the Bambu on the rocks. So why the 4 stars, you ask? So when you don't really have anything negative to point out, it's easier to see the spots that were missed, and I only have one. I was charged two separate tabs that night, which before I could call was corrected. So thank you for that. Thank you for sorting that and correcting it. Would have given 5 stars for the entertainment and atmosphere cuz we laughed and had a good time. Even being pretty jammed into the place with all the close seating was fine. What I have a problem with is they charge A LOT for on the rocks for our drinks . I get that some places use this practice IF they actually do pour a tad bit more of alcohol BUT that was not the case here. We had already ordered a DOUBLE which we are fine to pay extra for but there was actually LESS than a double shot of whiskey in the glass that was loaded with ice so it makes it seem like we paid extra for ice! My advice - if you want a drink on the rocks- order it neat with a side glass of ice. This practice of charging for rocks is just a way to rip people off. read more

Came here over the weekend for a special event for the "Doug Loves Movies" podcast. Sidenote: I LOVE comedy shows that start at 4:30pm and I can be home before the sun goes down! MORE OF THESE PLEASE. Anyway... Zanies is a decent comedy club that is very difficult to navigate for a couple of first-timers. But we made it, relatively unscathed. We were seated in a corner (THANK YOU!) and proceeded to order our two drink minimum. I'm not a drinker (anymore, thank you various medical problems that prevent me from doing so!) so I was not impressed with their NA offerings. I had two mocktails - one that was named after someone special to the club and one that was just an extra spicy ginger ale. Both were decent but obviously not worth the $9 and change. Hubs liked his Kentucky Mule and some gin thing he had with blackberries. The food they offer is standard concession stand stuff. Nothing that looked too good to pass up. Make sure you validate your parking or you'll be charged a cool $15! read more

Loved it there. First off I had no idea vip meant VIP . I got to sit right there pretty much on top of the stage . Which was great because I did forget my glasses , but totally not a problem with how close I was. I had an amazing waitress that I would love to give praise to Jessica she was super sweet,and kind . Like of course I recommend the club and the comedian Cristela but I also recommend Jessica . I would love to say Jessica's customer service skills are on another level but honestly I think it's her people skills in general . I took my lady here on one of our first dates. I was so infatuated with her, that I did not even notice that I was pretty much constantly giving her "pecks (small kisses".) But, the comic performing certainly noticed! For the rest of his act, he referred to us as "The Lovers!" Anyway, we both had a great time. A comedy club is a great date early in a relationship because you get a chance to learn your new partner's sense of humor and outlook on life. As you are both enjoying the comics routine, there is no pressure on either of you to keep the conversation going. A lot of people go to the cinema on a first date, but I feel that this is a TERRIBLE idea. There you are, sitting in the dark with a virtual stranger for two (2) hours, NOT speaking to one another. AKWARD! The only caveat that I'll give you regarding Zanies is that their business model is to get folks into the club. Therefore, you can find free entrance tickets ANYWHERE. My lady received these as a "gift," which is how we ended up there. There Is a drink minimum and the cocktail waitresses are selling HARD the entire time. I went to show on 10-27-23 night show to see Luis J Gomez. A whole group was smoking weed in front of the entrance door. I asked some one if they can move it away it turned out it was comedian. He had an attitude saying it was his show and how dare I talk to him about this. I said I would ask for a refund he said good. Zanies did not seem like it was a big deal to them. read more

On May 29th we went to Zanies to watch our comedian friend Konan who flew out from Florida to perform. The show started off great, employees were kind and helpful, opening comedians were entertaining... but then we had the most disrespectful, condescending, rude waitress I have ever had in my life. She started off in a mood that our whole party picked up on. My husband had to ask for his coke 3 times. We were very aware of the 2 item order minimum. So when our friend was up to perform his 5 minute set and she was standing in front of us explaining how we needed to order our second item, I said gladly, but this is our friend performing now, would you mind coming back just when he's finished? And she got VERY upset by that, telling us how rude we were. Then when it came time time for our check she was livid that we dare ask for it to be split between couples in our party. I eventually went to to the manager because enough was enough. She then stomped up to us, got in the middle of the manager and I and said we needed to be escorted out because my husband cussed at her. (Which he did not, he was talking to our friends and she was eavesdropping and heard him say she was being super bi***y to us." She then flipped out after her manager asked what happened and she screamed that she wanted to fight me and that she would be "waiting for me outside." It got so out of hand that they had to carry her out of the establishment. Not only did the manager not comp our bill in anyway, but he said he would simply "take the situation with a grain of salt as he speaks to his employees in the future." WHAT?!
