There seems to be multiple rooms where they have shows. The room I was in holds about 40 people seemingly. They have all the old school beer signs on the wall near the bar which is cool. This is the new, permanent venue for the comedy group who used to be at the old Lincoln diner, which closed... 12 years ago?? Slow the hell down, time! Anyway, I had tickets to see Jessica Michelle Singleton last night. I'd never been to this venue, but I liked it a lot. They have multiple "theaters" so there can be multiple different performances going at any given time. The theaters seem to be smaller and intimate, which was interesting. JMS posted on social media she was anxious about lower than expected ticket sales, but with the size of the room it actually worked, though I'm sure she's used to doing bigger spaces. The show was great, I was seated right in front and so the performer actually interacted with me a bit which was fun and a new experience. The venue itself is pretty cool. There's a small bar in the lobby area with some good drinks so you can hang out beforehand, and yes, you can bring your drink into the performance area. The bar has a bunch of vintage lighted beer signs all around, which I love. They have regular performances Friday and Saturday with local and touring acts and also have classes. read more

Went to see the monthly "Future of Comedy" show. It did not disappoint. We are always entertained when we come here. The secret is that you have to come prepared to laugh. I've attended a few comedy shows at Lincoln Lodge with my lovely wife over the last few years, and it's always a fine time. Last weekend we went to a show with a public transportation theme. Some of the comedic talent had to stretch a bit to include trains and buses into their routines, so though the performances were uneven it still was a good variety show. You can get a drink from the bar, and during this program you could also get a free beer if you answered a quiz question! read more

Attended the gems of chicago show and honestly if these are the best gems our city can come up with then the comedy scene here is dead. Never walked out on a show before but in this case we had to. 3/6 of the comedians were crass, out of touch with the audience, and just not funny. The website's description promised a multifaceted show but it was a largely group of femme people just talking about their sex lives in explicit details...with no punchline in sight. They would ask a question, no one would raise their hand and relate, and they continued with their planned joke anyways. It was also extremely explicit, in the entire half of the show there was literally only one non sexual joke attempt made (about how living in london is apparently affordable?), and this got really uncomfortable since it was supposed to be a mother's day treat and even as adults, there's only so much of that you can sit through with a parent. The website made no mention that it would be this explicit. I don't expect comedy shows to be PG13 (not new to this) but this was on an insane level and just not funny. The comedians also evidently didn't plan their sets, all 3/6 were like oh how do i still have 2 minutes left, here's another sex story no one asked for. We couldn't sit around for the remaining 3 comedians by the way, so i can only speak for half the show. Additionally, the rooms are small and they do pack everyone in there so if you're claustrophobic, i would not recommend. The mics are also quite loud, we had one comedian that was including sound effects and yelling and that hurt our ears since we're all sat less than 5ft from them. The server was nice and they have a great mission but unfortunately i'd say skip this show offering specifically. read more

I brought some friends to The Limelight show with 5 random comedians. I have to say Tight Five Productions knows how to put on a show for seventy five minutes ! The vodka sodas were overflowing and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. The bartender even helped me trick my friends into thinking they were drinking doubles of vodka sodas ! Thanks for the tray with waters and limes! We totally got them! My crew and I couldn't stop laughing. Lele Mason and Tyler Horvath were the favorites!! I highly recommend checking out this venue. It's a great intimate setting with classic theater vibes. I can't wait to come back! Pro Tip: We stopped at Chef Zubair's Wazwan for a quick dinner before the show! The brown comedy show was late to start but the one hour plus show was totally worth the money. For $15 bucks/ ticket,5 different comedians performed and was throughly entertaining. Incredible, inclusive atmosphere and an amazing staff! The bar has a great selection of alcoholic and NA drinks that are served promptly so you don't miss your show! Staff helped seat folks to make sure everyone was situated and no space was wasted in this intimate venue. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the decor - it's giving 70s Midwest party uncle and I loved it. I felt like my Uncle Mike was going to walk out, hand me a Stroh's, and say it's fine to drink in the house because he won't tell my parents. I visited this venue to see the comedy show, divorce Diaries. The venue is cute.. as we maneuvered our way through we happened upon the full bar which is in the front of the venue. There are a few tables and chairs and a television. It seems like a really cool place to just stop in for a drink or two. It wasn't very crowded when we were there so it gave off a very intimate vibe. The theater we were in was also very intimate. The two employees I encountered we're very nice and friendly and welcoming. The show itself was something different.. after a rough start, it ended up being a good show. I would definitely be interested in seeing what else is being held here. I also love that it's in Logan Square which is such a fun area. The parking sucks so I definitely would suggest public transportation or taking a ride share. read more

Wow, I had such a great time here last night! I've been to second city and laugh factory for comedy before and I actually liked Lincoln Lodge the most so far! The theatre is a lot smaller, there were maybe like 9-10 tables to sit at which gave it nice intimate vibes. The performers were all so hilarious, I came for the best night ever show and I could not stop laughing. They all did a great job reading the room/having the audience participate in their sets. I even got to chat with some of the performers after the show which was awesome! The drinks here were also very very good. I got one of their cocktails and thought it delicious! I definitely will be returning for more shows! read more

I wanted to check out Sloppy Sunday's. It's a comedy show on Sunday Night. I love supporting local comedy, so I'm disappointed to give this spot 3 stars. Local comedy tends to always end up being a hit or miss but you normally can rely on a nice pour of drinks. Definitely was not the case here. The bartender on the night I went was extremely dismissive and had a big attitude. Not the vibe one wants before heading in to see a comedy show. I pretty much always order the same drink every time I go out. I ask if they have Pineapple Juice. If the answer is yes, I asked for a Long Island with Pineapple Juice instead of coke. The bartender makes a pretty weak-looking Long Island and fills it to the top with coke. I immediately say, excuse me is that mine? I cannot have coke. That's why I asked for Pineapple Juice instead. He responds by saying, you cannot have Coke? Why does this matter? Why can't I just have what I want. So I go on to explain why I cannot have Coke. He says, you didn't say that you cannot have Coke, just that you wanted Pineapple Juice! I say, I cannot drink that. My friend who ordered a different drink, said that he would take it. The bartender made another Long Island that was pretty much all juice. Definitely did not stick around after the show to continue getting drinks since it felt very unwelcoming. We ended up heading to Emporium up the street and had a pretty nice time there. The show itself was okay. As suspected, It was pretty hit or miss with the comedians. The bar has a cozy atmosphere with very friendly, personable service (they're all comedians, which tracks), and the shows are all very unique! One night you'll see drag standup, another you'll see comedy poetry, comedy PowerPoint presentations, a show featuring all lesbians--and that's just the tip of the iceberg. This place has programming that makes me excited to come on any given night to enjoy. Plus, I feel great knowing my ticket sales go directly to the performers who make my evenings so fun. Went last night (Friday) for an impromptu date night after finding out about this place on Eventbrite. They have shows going to 1am, so I was a little nervous that doing the earlier 8pm show was going to be less people and maybe more PG. Our show was packed. We saw I think 7 comedians (including the MC), and they were all hilarious. All the comedy had adult themes. I loved the MC who started the show, and I could watch him do a whole show by himself. We got there maybe 20min early, but they didn't start seating till about 7:55, and show started like 8:15. It is GA, but the comedians do seat you (although it seems sporadic where the place you so no real reason to get there super early). The large room is still relatively small, so no bad seats. The comedians were really good about turning their bodies and addressing everyone, so even though we had seats furthest to the side we never felt like we had bad seats. The bar had lots of options and was very reasonably priced. Beer was about 6-8 for craft cans. They also had well drinks, barrel-aged cocktails they make, seltzers, and wine. I was also happy to see so many non-alcoholic options for beers and mocktails . They do have some snacks like pringles available for purchase. There is no drink minimum, and there is a waitress that checks in once during the show, but there is zero pressure to feel like you have to order and drink. We had such a great time, and will definitely be going back very soon and bringing friends! read more

Was the highlight of my trip to Chicago! Had a great time and the staff was so friendly. The show was hilarious.

Started off as an unpleasant experience with the host of the night being rude and unprofessional. I don't remember her name but the show was at 8p this night and she was an African American woman with a white colored wig on that was the first act and host of the night. Once I had my tickets checked, my friend and I walked in and found a table right away (not noticing that this woman was leading us to some chairs in the front because she never greeted us and walked way ahead). She came back and said something like "um you have to sit where I choose for you" (with a dry and defensive tone). So, we followed her to the seats and accepted them but I didn't want to sit there. As we sat our coats down and then walked back out to go get drinks. I decided to ask for the other table, "Do you mind if we actually just sit at the other table there?" and she replied, "Why?", with a dry a** attitude. I responded with "...because I'd like to sit somewhere that's more comfortable with a table and it's empty. Is it reserved?" She went on to respond with short, one to three word answers, completely disregarded my questions and going around them. She never gave a real explanation as to why we couldn't sit in the preferred seats. They weren't reserved, we didn't have to reserve seats when buying the tickets, it was open...so I was confused. She said that I have to sit where they seat us and "because we have a system" and more bull without actually giving a reason as to why I couldn't sit there. I even asked what the system was...she couldn't even give me a real answer. I asked for the manager who was the White older man at the door and I asked about the table while she interrupted trying to argue back with me about what she said. She then goes to say with a sharp tone, "you know what, sit there, you can have the table". The manager didn't really seem to care about the poor customer service and rude behavior that was being displayed by one of his employees so he just brushed it off. He said it was fine for us to sit there. Don't know if it comes through in this text but her attitude was pretty bad and unprofessional and I have a huge pet peeve for unpleasant and just bad customer service. So here's my first ever review because I feel like it needed to be said. Disappointed in how this experience started (first time there) but at least the other comedians were funny though. I had some good moments and my drink was really good. read more
