The doors opened right on time for the event. They checked people in while waiting in line, which streamlined entry. You get wand checked by security and coat check is to the right (cash only for coat check) the venue was clean and very open. Came here for a 90s party event and was pleasantly surprised with Joe's Live. Parking in the area is easy (well provided you make the correct turn into the correct section of the parking garage). The building itself doesn't look that big from the outside, but once you are the venue is really large. Upon walking in they had a section for merchandise sales, a couple of bar area, a lot of standing tables (no seats anywhere), a main floor in front of the stage, as well as an upstairs. The upstairs area looks to be a great place to enjoy any concert, but that's why it's reserved for VIPs. They did a great job of transforming the place for the show. Lots of fun lighting special effects, fun t-shirt gun giveaways, dry ice floating bubbles - which I never saw before in any show, and of course the balloon drop at the end. Also the music was loud, but you could still talk to the person next to you - well loudly of course, but I didn't feel like I had to shout. I had only a sip of a margarita which was a bit sweet for my liking, but overall a great place to catch a show and do something out of the ordinary! read more

Came last month to attend an event from 103.5 Kiss FM and had a great time! I reserved a table ahead of time and we initially had an issue with not being able to see the stage (people were standing right in front of us), but the staff moved us to another table quickly and we ended up having a great view. Drinks were good! The shots on the other hand were so expensive! I've never had a $25 shot of regular tequila before that night - ridiculous if you ask me. Overall, the drinks were good, but I found it weird there were no napkins anywhere lol The bartender said they just didn't have them. Post event meet and greet was a little unorganized but I'm not sure if that's more of the radio station or the location's responsibility. Overall, we had a great time! Apparently everything is a serious offense here? Security here is annoying AF. They see you drinking outside of the bar area they will take your drinks, you're waiting in line for the bathroom they'll tell you to move and wait elsewhere, you sit down they kick you out from that spot. If you're with a group of girls I suggest you be really careful here and be in the lookout for your safety. The security has such a fragile ego here. They take advantage and choose the "power trip" over basic communication skills. If the goal was to make guests feel unwelcome and embarrassed, congrats nailed it. If the goal was professionalism? This review is for Maddie & Tae. We saw other shows here like Carly Pearce and Jo De Messina. They were incredible. Tonight was def NOT the case. Took them forever to get on stage. Sound was TERRIBLE. Whatever recording they played to sing over was very bad and drowned out their vocals. You couldn't hear what they were saying. Either that or they'd sing without the recording and then the sound would be piercing. I am def not a negative Nancy, and the people standing by us were saying the same thing. Idk if this is Joe's or their band's sound guy... but someone PLEASE help them fix this. They're talented, and you sure as hell wouldn't know it if you saw them here live tonight. read more

3.5 Overall. Went for Ole 60. The opener "South-hall" was supposed to play from 7pm to 8pm. Their website stated Ole 60 started at 8pm. After a fiasco which may have been due to stubhub we paid $30 to park almost a mile away and had to call a Uber and arrived at 8:15. We thought we were late but there was a super long line out the door. You would think we were trying to enter the White House with the amount of security which isn't necessarily a bad thing but made the wait in the cold take unnecessarily long. My wife and I gave up drinking alcohol for lent but the drink prices were insane. $25 for a typical tequila shot and $10 for a 16oz Busch Light. Now I understand they make the venue cold due to the occupant load and assuming you have a liquid blanket but it was freezing in there. Wife was feeling a little under the weather and having to stand for almost 2.5 hours straight in the freezing cold was unbearable. Not a place in sight to sit or even lean up against. Has to be some sort of ADA violation. It was surprisingly clean and they had workers cleaning the floor of garbage throughout the show which was nice to see. They also offered complimentary ice water which was another nice thing especially for the wife who was under the weather. read more

The bars were well stock, with the exception of craft beer. There are a few tables that were reserved. I have no idea how to reserve one, but probably worth it. This is one of the best venues I've ever been to. Seriously like top 3! Was here a few weeks ago to see Jordan Davis! Besides being a nice open place with great views all around, there are 2 large bathrooms and 4 bar locations!!! Helps a lot to reduce those long lines. They also had some pretty bomb pizza! All the service workers were amazing, we even brought luggage with us because we landed in Chicago on a delayed flight, they were very accommodating. They have a balcony area as well, just didn't get the chance to check it out! Love this place, great location in Rosemomt too! read more

Was here for an MMA event, had club tickets and we're enjoying the event in a seated area of ~10 people when halfway through someone with a staff ID lanyard comes up to us staying we were in someone's seats. First, what was written on the wristbands did not correspond with the small piece of paper taped to the seats (which also fell off almost immediately after sitting). But okay, fine, we'll move to our seats. Except all the rest of the seats are taken. The guy tells us he'll help us figure out our seats so we stand up and the people he's brought over take our seats. And then the guy disappears leaving us standing with no seats, no one willing to say that they are in our seats, and people behind us in the standing area asking now if they can stand in front of us. Apologies to the young lady I gave a firm "NO" to when she asked to stand in front of us. I was totally upset at the situation and it was not your fault. Was thinking about trying to find a staff to help us out after that dude left us stranded but we had seen the fight we came for and ended up on our way out anyway. Anywho, event staff need to get their ish together. Labeling of the bands and seats need to be clearer, or if you're assigning seats they should be on the ticket. So... I officially love the MB Financial Park... Rosemont Entertainment Center. It's like a mini Vegas scene with all the bright lights and venues enclosed around a walkway that circles around and commutable only by foot traffic, crowds of people just trying to have a good time... Functionally, Halloween night this year (Sat 29) was easy, no going to Chicago and the hassle of commute and navigation. Did the Disturbia Haunted House (Excellent... best one I've been to in awhile I must say), then some food at Kings, which has improved their cuisine a lot, while watching a bit of the Cubs, then, for the first time... Joe's Live. I love this venue. The place is surprisingly huge, the stage and lights are impressive, and the sound system is clear and very sharp. The Hairband that played that night, sounded amazing. Maybe they're that good, but their vocals were spot on, no muffling by bad speakers or mikes. If someone is playing here, they will sound good, if they are good. Nice venue. Don't hesitate to check this place out. Oops yeah, my friend said a mixed drink was $14. Ouch. Draft beers 6 to 9. I'm glad I don't drink. Sheesh. read more

My third visit to this Joe's so I figured the time has come to share what I know with the rest of my Yelpie peers out there. If you are a fan of country music and live in Chicago you really do not have a hell of a lot of options. You can catch the big national acts of course when they come to town at the Planet Starbucks styled venues, but the more intimate bar setting gigs are few and far between. If you are like me and need to get your fix, Joe's will handle the task quite adequately. Joe's uses an online interface called TicketWeb to make your ticket purchases, which if you attend other smaller gigs around town you have likely ran across before. If you go to live shows frequently it is worth the time to just make an account. This way you will get updates based upon your tastes and you can score tickets when they are cheaper. It's not something crazy robust like Live Nation, but it does the job. Instead of using an app TicketWeb just emails you a PDF which contains your ticket to then scan on your phone when you arrive. In many ways this is probably better since who needs yet another mostly dormant app polluting their iPhone? Joe's normally has 2 ticket options. Pit, which is right by the stage, and then GA which is everything else. Prices are generally quite reasonable by Chicago standards. There is a large attached parking garage that is 15 bucks to park at. There might be other options available but since I do not know the area well this is all I have ever used. Doors to the venue open an hour before show time and security and lines have yet to be a problem. The venue itself is actually a quite splendid and intimate place to catch a gig. There are three main bars that dot the main floor, a small sitting area adjacent to the main bar in the back by the restrooms, and their is an upper balcony which provides a view of the action from up top. It's an overused cliche in venues that "there is not a bad seat in the house" but that is actually fairly accurate in this case. Drink prices are ridiculous as expected, but not nearly as obscene as you will find at the bigger joints. Still, if pre-party is your jam save some bucks and get plowed elsewhere and just make it an uber night. Staff here is remarkably friendly for a concert venue. PA and sound in this place is decent but honestly just a tad under what it should be for a place this size. You also get a little bit of wonky acoustics from time-to-time. Nothing crazy, so this is a minor gripe, but if you are expecting a setup that you would find at one of the bar gigs in Nashville you will nonetheless be disappointed. Overall this is a fantastic way to spend an evening and they do indeed manage to attract some pretty legit talent in country. I caught Rodney Atkins here most recently who has landed more songs on the Billboard country charts than you can shake a stick at. If you need to scratch the itch, throw on your boots and head here and you are sure to have a fun time. read more

I attended a concert at Joe's Live and had a great time. The venue is sizable, they have several bars at which to get a drink (as well as drink people circulating through the crowd a la a sporting event), and at no time did it feel too over-crowded. Most importantly, the sound was excellent. The cherry on top is its location: there are several other restaurants within the same Rosemont complex for you to choose from prior, or post, show (allow me to recommend Bub City, it's excellent) and there is plenty of parking. read more

This was my first visit to Joe's. I attended last night's Summer Boom Boom concert featuring Ace of Base and La Bouche. I was so excited for this concert since I love 90's music. The event was scheduled for 8:00pm, and I'm thinking the show started at this time. The doors did not open until 8, which meant we waited outside in line for a half hour. When we walked in, it was a very large room with a stage and dance floor and high tables for VIP to sit. There are 3 bars on the main floor. There is also an upstairs that allowed VIP guests. Drinks were weak and overpriced. If you go, drink beer and at least you know how much alcohol you are getting. The DJ played music for 3hours, and Ace of Base did not come on until 11pm. I wouldn't have minded if the music was better and not hosted by such a lame MC. They were playing music that teens-20yr olds listen to. The room ranged in age from about 30-50yr olds. Know your crowd! They seemed to get that about 2 1/2 hours in and started playing more 90s which is what I assume others came to hear if we paid to see two of the biggest dance groups of the 1990s. Ace of Base played for about 40 mins, and then the DJ played music for another 40 min before La Bouche came on at about 12:20. Now here is the worst part, their microphones were not working properly!!The singers could not hear themselves and the mics kept going on and off making for a bad performance at no fault of the performers. We waited all night to see this. Joe's should have attended to this immediately but this was pretty much how the entire performance went. I also forgot to mention the cleanliness of the place. Fine at start of night, but by 10:30 totally filthy. The women's restroom was completely out of toilet paper, and it seemed as though a toilet overflowed on the floor. Drinks were spilled all over the place making for a wet dance floor and potential fall risk. The staff could have kept up with the cleaning knowing that large of a crowd would be there. The only good thing was the tickets were cheap, otherwise I would have been really upset about this experience. I would not return to Joe's. read more

Decent music venue, with high prices. Could use acoustic upgrade and more video screens to see performers. If you enjoy being packed like a sardine this spots for you, same with Joe's on weed. They pack you in and it is nearly impossible to migrate through. I understand concerts are busy and should be packed but it's a giant free-for-all and it's not like the place is cheap. Bottom line is If you really want to see someone and they aren't playing anywhere nearby go, otherwise check out another venue. read more

Crazy as it may sound crazy but this was my first time here, I love the area of downtown Rosemont but found no need to go to this venue, Well the opportunity presented itself by my neice performing here for her School of Rock concert.. First things first the parking in set up horribly for this area, they have great parking on the sides of the restaurants but block them off with signs for Valet only or precious spots are taken up with never ending construction equipment, so you are forced to go to the parking garage! For the movie theater the bowling alley and 5 roses pub this is not really a problem, but when its -20 degrees out its a little bit of a walk to get to joes live thats all the way in the corner... With parking out of the way I have to say the venue is really cool! It has a large stage with some tables for seating and an area in front of the tablea for standing.. there are also some high top tables right above the main floor.. I only wish they had more tables and chairs for seating but if you get there early you can snag a coveted table! We Wanted to order food the only snag in the trip to Joe's was they were very understaffed with waitresses and waitresses just kept walking by our table even after we would wave and asked him to come by to put in our order when we went to the bar to order our food the bartender said you need to order from a waitress... it got to a point where we had to ask a manager could he please help us put in our order and I must say the manager was fantastic he came to our table himself and took the order right away. The food was actually not bad it was very good quality we ordered barbecue nachos fries with pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and wings and everything was very good, the only downfall I could say is everything here is very pricey beers in a plastic cup or about $8 and most small appetizer plates are a minimum of $10. I will definitely be back so if I see a performer listed that I would like to go check out it was way nicer inside than I thought, but like I always say that is just my opinion deathly go check this place out for yourself. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Joe's Live! It's such a great venue to see a concert. I particularly love that they have been getting so many great country artists to perform! I recently saw Cole Swindel and had such a great time. Doors opened an hour before the concert and while there was a line it moved pretty fast. Showing IDs and tickets at the door was an organized process, but I do feel like they need more signage acknowledging that the coat check/parking validation station is to the right when you walk in the first set of doors. My dad and I had to circle back to take care of that after already getting in. I'm told they have a few sandwiches that they offer, but I highly recommend just grabbing dinner and drinks next store at Bub City! We got there about an hour and a half before concert doors opened and easily got seats up at the bar and had plenty of time to drink and eat. Drinks at Joe's Live are pricey, but honestly that's to be expected. It's standing room only with the exception of some "box seat" spaces in the balcony. It's one of those venues where I truly feel like you can see from anywhere and the sound quality is superb. Parking is super easy as there's the garage right in MB Financial Park and like I mentioned, you can get it validated right at Joe's Live for free parking. I will definitely be catching another concert at Joe's Live sometime soon! read more

This was the first time and LAST time I will go there. They will scam you. My husband and I went with family who had been there before. Our family had warned us to get there early because they only had about 5 to 6 tables and the rest was standing room only. To our surprise, they did have more than 5 tables. However, they were all marked with a 'reserved ' card. We were told different things when we asked about the tables 1. You reserve the table when you order your tickets (not the case for our show) 2. You can buy 2 bottles of prosecco priced at $60 dollars each or 3. 'THE SPECIAL' which was priced over $400. My family found it odd since they had been there before and were never asked to buy bottles for tables. Mind you, the tables were in different parts of the venue - all cost the same, regardless of the view. Some tables only had 2 chairs. They did, however, let you pick your table. A waitress confirmed that we could buy 2 bottles of prosecco for a table. Well, I guess she was not informed of the changes management made. After picking a semi decent table, we flagged down a second waitress who then tells us they 'ran out' of prosecco and we only had the option to order the $400 special. I did put up a stink since I did see a WALL of prosecco bottles on the other side. She then nervously tells me I can talk to the manager. The manager comes and tells us the 2 $60 bottle of prosecco does not meet the requirement for a table and we HAVE to buy 2 bottles of hard liquor to get a table. They were willing to haggle on the price and bring it down to $260 for a bottle of hard liquor and $60 for prosecco. Best they could do. I declined. After reading a few reviews on Yelp, it sounds like management changes how they charge and who they over charge. Therefore, I choose not to go there again when my favorite Hispanic singer comes to town. I would much rather spend the extra money on a ticket for a venue where I know what to expect. I've got to admit, I was so excited to hear about Joe's coming to the burbs! I've always enjoyed Joe's on Weed and what a great way to draw in a new crowd. I visited Joe's Live a few weeks ago for the Eli Young Band concert and had no idea what it would be like. Upon walking in, we asked the bouncer if we could eat dinner. He let us know there were just about 3 sandwich options to choose from. We ended up having dinner right next door (note: don't plan on eating dinner at Joe's - Bub City right next door is amazing!) We went in for the concert and it was typical Joe's fashion. Stage up front, standing room only. The March Madness games were playing, good music, lots of bars, lively, and a really great turnout (sold out show, actually). Beer was expensive but I'm not sure what else you would expect. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert and got a great view on the floor. If you're looking for good country music in the burbs for a decent price, check out Joe's Live. I am very disappointed with Joe's Live. I had went there for NYE, and I had nothing but positive things to say about them. I just paid about $100 for 2 tickets to attend a concert there. In Illinois, smoke is not allowed within 15 feet from a business. Tell me why the security is useless and everyone was able to smoke weed (which is still illegal until 2020). I have severe reactions to smoke regardless if it's weed, cigarettes, cigars, hookah, etc. this ruined my entire experience. I've been home for over an hour and I am still having trouble breathing. My clothes reeked of smoke when I got home, and my shoes got ash on them. I wore my nice shoes that I wear to work. I had to do laundry at 1am and scrub my shoes clean to get rid of the smell. I am not sure if I ever want to go back there. read more

Saw my first show at this venue. Coming earlier when the doors open, means there's not much to really do... however, it also means you can secure a seat and table, which is nice to have. Viewing and sound is great from every angle. The main stage area is big enough, but not overwhelmingly huge. Depending on the show, tickets can be around $10, and paying at the door is fine, trying to buy them ahead online means that there's a servicing fee. I'll definitely be back when I want to see some live music. I'm kind of an old person at heart and wish they had some shows earlier because staying out till midnight is past my desired bed time... If I could give this venue 0 stars I would!! Horrible venue!! First of all, the setup is terrible. They crowd everybody in one corner where it's literally impossible to walk or get a drink. The complete other side of the venue was so spacious, but for some reason it was blocked off and they didn't allow any customers to be in that area. It was a complete waste of space. The staff didn't seem to care about that though. Different bartenders charge differences prices for the same drinks, which were insanely expensive. They are very dishonest and clearly try to see what they can get away with. The bouncers/security in the venue think they have way more authority than they do. They were straight up harassing the crowd constantly throughout the entire night to the point where they don't even let you enjoy the show. I am specifically talking about a tall gentleman who was wearing a red flannel and and had a beard. He kind of looked like a lumberjack. I didn't know it was illegal to dance at a concert, but this guy didn't allow dancing. This man intentionally broke up an entire dance floor multiple times throughout the night for no absolutely reason. This guy completely harassed customers at this concert multiple times, overstepped his authority, and was rude. If I were the hiring manager and saw this type of behavior from an employee, I would fire him immediately. His demeanor was beyond unacceptable, and because of this guy and the rest of the staff, I will never return to this establishment. I have never been so disrespected by staff at a venue in my life. I really can't emphasize how much this place sucks. read more

I went to an event last Saturday night and was quite impressed. I am a fan of medium-sized concert venues such at The Vic or Metro due to what they offer and staff. The efficiency they let the large line (90 minutes before showtime) in was quite impressive. We waited less than 15 minutes to get into the venue. They have a parking ticket validation machine right by the front door as well. All of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. There was plentiful seating in a variety of locations. My only complaint about the seating (and this is the same with similar locations) is that there is no incline. It is very tough for short people like me to see. I was able to see a good chunk of the match, but I was unable to see things when the wrestlers were on the ground. My came home with a bit of a back ache due to the constant leaning to see the action. Drinks were also very expensive. A mixed drink, while strong, was $12. That is quite a bit for a drink that is not a craft cocktail poured into a plastic cup. read more

We elected to get one of their private rooms which would allow the group to interact a bit more than the general admission ticket might normally allow. The room provided a great view of the show. Suite 2 could easy accommodate 20 people. Lauren was our assigned server and she did an amazing job keeping the food and beverage flowing. She was always there when we needed her.
